What King Sunny Ade is singing and saying is how (the audience) should dance to "SYNCRO SYSTEM". Sunny Ade is not only a great singer from one of the Western States of Nigeria (Yoruba - Speaking), he is also a great Guitarist, Musician, and Performer.
Oh wow. I was at that concert. I haven't been to a lot of arena/stadium concerts in my life--must be fewer than 10--but I'm sure glad I went to that one!
Where is Alhaji Tiamiu estwhile KSA’s lead talking drummer ? I understand he resides in Dopemu Alimosho LGA in Lagos? The best ever and great pioneer and modernizer of that instrument in King Sunny Ade’s African beats band supplying those rich idioms, leads and rhythms that came out between mid 70’s and mid 80’s Those were monster hits era The guy could translate and interpret the most complex of idioms with the “gangan” (talking drum) Just ask a Yoruba person steeped in the culture.
I am freshman for BA ( Hons ) Language Studies ( English and German ) @ The Open university London, as non resident student living in Hamburg: I saw him in concert, in Hamburg Stadtpark Freiluftbühne, and I said hi to him quickly, at his backstage. Very interestinly I was at his resident, in Tinkan Island Apapa, where I signed in his visitors book, while on holiday from Hamburg to Nigeria. It's like I visited Fela Anikulapo Kuti, in his resident Kalakuta Republic, before I travelled abroad.
Funny. These Jamaicans are about as stiff as the Euros in the Rockpalast video I just watched a few minutes ago. They can't be bothered to un-ass themselves and dance. It's just as foreign to them.
Brothers &Sisters, I was at this Clasic consert when I was 19 years young. I was about the one grovin and movin. As the man said the Jamaican and all the Londoners were stiff but (GOD Forgive me) this young white American was movin and groven to the African Beats lol for real. I had the same reaction then an watching this brings back a flood of memories from my youth. ALLAH BLESS you all Alhamdulillah 👳😇😂

Where did this take place, though? I'm wondering why there's hardly anyone dancing to this great music! They're just gawking at him.
