A girl sits in a dark room typing computer code into an analogue typewriter - possibly my favourite scene yet, maybe even better than a hotdog playing in the soundtrack's synth-line on a wineglass. This series continues to blow me away with its creativity. Beautiful.
The cinematography of the opening scene around the city is so cool! It honestly looks like it was taken with an actual camera, and that's saying something seeing this was made 8 years ago.
Awesome! Your stuff always reminds me of a dream -- I never know quite what's going on, and yet somehow it all makes a weird sort of sense at the time.
I have a theory that King, Axle Rubix and Les North are from the same race or group, as they all appear to have similar teleportation powers that emits a blue light and generate blue particles when used. Les North, by the way, is the blonde haired dude in Episode 5, who Episode 6 is revealed to be the founder of the city of Shade and the creator of "the Cure" mentioned in Episode 5 as well episode, and then in Episode 6. Axle and Les also show this teleportation power for the first time in Episode 5.
Wait what is this ? Dynamo had it's first episode, then second came, then part 2 of first episode came recently, but actually 11 years before you've got fourth episode with young Ian Hubert on it? Is this a multi-dimensional series or what the heck is happening ?
The episodes on Ian Hubert's channel are Dynamo Dream which is set in the same world but has a different storyline from Dynamo. Also Dynamo Dream is sort of a soft reboot of Dynamo, though as far as I can tell the only change is that the zombies from Dynamo got replaced by giant crabs in Dynamo Dream.
Karribu I believe it's something like "Rubix, I will be your demise!" EDIT: I checked with Nate Taylor, who works on Dynamo, and it's "Rubix! I am your demise!"
I enjoy each episode more and more and more. And I'll let you guys know, I freaked a little bit when I saw some of the footage form Ian's reel. I thought that was all Project London. Will you be releasing a dvd/bluray of this when it's finished? Because I would love to own a copy. Also, are you selling the score? By the way, were you guys inspired by Scott Pilgrim to do the scene with Mann's Ex? Is that why there is a Scott pilgrim poster when King flees?
@@ninjanolan6328 I'd argue it's less weird than before. There's proper monetization nowa-days and with crowd funding/patreon these things are that more achievable than ever before.
Wow! I only started doing 3D stuff recently, only a couple of months. I am in it for movies and sci-fi dystopian is my thing:) I don't know what to say, only after watching this I know that there's not much I can do anymore... whatever i could do you're simply better and your creativity is out of this world! How can I top this? Only learn and get inspired...you're not leaving anybody any room... AMAZING STUFF! when I saw the trailer for it I had to sit down and meditate as I lost my brain in to another dimension. Thank god I have Reality Transurfing to fall in to now. Mesmerizing stuff! By the time I get better you might just bit me to everything I will come up with! You're Jesus of Blender mate, period! Let's understand each other please, I am not depressed, one might think that...actually just the opposite. I am blown away, probably wont get much sleep now;)
I rofled so hard at the girlfriend scene! This was one of the best passive agressiveness scenes ever (maybe slightly beaten by Richard in looking for group, page 612)
1:10 isn't that a shot from Tears of Steel? Did he just reuse clips, or are both of these filmed in Amsterdam? Edit: I'm not dissing it if it did reuse clips, I absolutely *adore* this series. Keep it up! :D
OK, thanks. Both are filmed in Amsterdam though, right? By the way, do you have a kickstarter for episode 5? Or a donate page? Or something? I love what you're doing, and I want to help if I can :P
Well, that's one way to get a new jacket? I'm thinking he's not gonna get those overdue library fines from that giant now. Signed, an Ex-Librarian? XD 06:40. Or (4) He doesn't feel like talking. ;) 06:53. Freudian slip? 08:12. Now that's just passive aggressiveness? 07:39. That's one master model building genius there? Also, primer for zero budget filmmaking? XD 08:44. Quick question. Who wears sunglasses in-doors? *throws couple of pages on my sunglasses next to my PC* 09:09. Yeaaahhhh. He's definitely a player. A MATURE player? :P 10:22. Hey, what does he have against porcupines? :P 14:21. Nah. Dating incompatibility is just something a lot of us knows ALL about? :P
I dont understand the plotline. It is all a bit of a mystery with no cohesion. I love the cinematography. As long as you view these 'episodes' as a demo reel then its very good... There is no real continuity between episodes... Is there supposed to be?
But there’s going to BE cohesion. It’s one of those kind of series where you just have to keep watching for things to come fully together :) And actually, there IS continuity. It’s just not that clear yet. But there is some, yes. But it’s not all in order, I think, and they jump between different characters at times. There’s apparently many main characters. I think that’s pretty cool. I love unconventional storytelling like this.
there is cohesion between episodes but you have to kind of string it together yourself, the next episode continues axle and gage running from the superintelligence after this event, and a good bit of episode 6 follows a random passerby that witnessed the 2 airships crashing
Why can't these be conclusive or have any story line. Finally, something imaginative, creative and well produced. But then makes no sense and sucks overall.
OMG!! I have followed Dynamo Dreams from the beginning, and i cannot express enough my continuing disappointments... First episode: Fantastic, Amazing, Futuristic, Engaging... Brilliant visuals! Exiting story with the girl as main character, and then a cliffhanger at the end! Second episode: Nice action, Exiting and Good visuals! Begins with a scene from the end of Episode One, but thats all. Does not connect or catch up with that. Third episode: Hmmmm... strange travelling, mysterious creatures that dont make any sense.... Zero connection to previous episodes... confusing ending. Fourth episode: Meaningless Wannabe story, Empty, Amateurish episode. There are no words for how stupid this is. Total lack of quality and imagination. A waste of time.

This is SO original and imaginative!
Mr recardo. NOPE
Hahahaha!!
Weneed to get crowd funding this. It must continue! I will definitely pay to watch this.
Honestly, this is such amazing work, i really love this! It should be a feature, seriously, brilliant....i wish i had the skills you guys have... :)
The acting, the sound, the camera work, the script, the blendering, all fantastic!
Yeah! Ep 4! did anyone else flip their screen to see what she was typing? :p
Something about Gage perfectly retelling episode one and then saying he probably got it all wrong just wrecks me.
Awesome! Your stuff always reminds me of a dream -- I never know quite what's going on, and yet somehow it all makes a weird sort of sense at the time.
Dream in a dreamless world. All taken for the cure.
Here are some good old synths here ! Great. A "best of", this video for me !
The future is now. This is the future. The future of television. The future of our symbiotic relationship to one another.
man so glad i discovered ian :D hes such a inspiration! also love the vibe of the series man :D
One of my favourite humans.
The improvement from January to November is mind boggling! I really need to practice more.
the sausage scene is brilliant
absolutely
Living large w/minor bucks and massive creativity, thanks!!!
episode 4 and 5 are my favorite I wish more people would see these
This is the best show that I have ever seen!
Can we make the Color Bar a real place? I think we could call the earth feature complete if it was.
i hove how the completely different stories are mixing together

I can't flip my monitor. Turned my head upside down instead.
how does this only have 9,857 views? Spread the word people!
TheBryancrochet Yes! Watching is minimal support. Caring is sharing :D
Things are starting to connect... I think.
The cinematography is fantastic.
I had to watch that fry steal a few times over, that was as slick as the tram animation.
just started watching this and it is crazy looks like it is super new and just found out its like 12 years old
Man I wish Dynamo and its successor Dynamo Dreams kept the vision going. This world that they created is truly astonishing.
Wait what is this ? Dynamo had it's first episode, then second came, then part 2 of first episode came recently, but actually 11 years before you've got fourth episode with young Ian Hubert on it? Is this a multi-dimensional series or what the heck is happening ?

I am so envious of how GOOD this is!
There was a word higher than awesome that i can't remember now, but i feel this movie defines that pretty well.
I love this show!
Ian is such a good actor AN vfx artist.
This was amazing... Way better than the other episodes!
I forgot how fun old Dynamo was!
Please do tutorials for the car falling and the teleporting over to the road... absolutely amazing
Up up up. What feet?
do you guys use anything else other than blender because if you only used blender this is incredible
the music during beging the fight with ricardo..what?
At the start, what does Graydirt the wretch say to rubix? I can't make it out
Karribu I believe it's something like "Rubix, I will be your demise!"

Beautiful!
Gage says library as if it rhymes with February.
Ian Hubert reminds me so much of a young Alan Tudyk.
The beginning reminds me of the beginning of Ghost in the Shell. The anime masterpiece, mind you.

We film Dynamo in Seattle, actually! Because we live here and it is convenient.
@@KarmaPirates Ian, please consider that donation thing. Just like a Patreon or a simple PayPal button!
I want this music so bad.
When is episode 5 coming out?
Ctrl + Alt + directional arrows to flip screen (not monitor ;) ) ... that is if you got the hot keys enabled in the system
EPISODE 1 was the best.
like it very much
There is some twin peak vibes

I love it : great story, fantastic almost genius level graphism, very poor kinky acting.
3:54 what a fuckin awesome shot
very olan rogers, although subtler humor
Mmm. Color Bar.
Rubix more interesting if he keep the Heisenberg style.
Blown Away!
Hahaha the intro scene
Groovy..
5:01 why does he remind me...milos?
That last line :D
