- Son & Dad was the second barbershop we filmed at in Penang, Malaysia. In this video barber Elyas provides a relaxing hot towel shave with face massage, and styes my hair at the end.
Elyas and his dad Mr. Yunoos have two shops on the same street just a couple doors away from each other.
They began with one shop, and then expanded into a second larger shop to bring classic old school haircuts to Penang. We saw the shops a couple times while walking around George Town and they were always busy!

Graham if you haven’t already you should watch the shave done by the 75 year old Japanese man. Has the clock in the back as well and is very relaxing!

I don't normally comment on videos but i visited Penang in 2017 and by some miracle I found Son & Dad whilst wandering the streets. Hands down one of the best haircut experiences I've had worldwide and one I still talk about regularly. I'm almost considering flying back to Malaysia just for a haircut with these dons.

Great video. It’s totally not what I was expecting from a Malaysian barbershop. The barber and shop seemed to have a very “western” aesthetic, in-line with the likes of Sweeny. The younger barbers seem to be taking the influence of the older generation, but have found a way of incorporating more luxuries and modern sensibilities into what they do

The great thing about these videos is seeing how barbers in different countries carry on their crafts, especially the old timers. They all have their own style and quirks.
This video was another of your top-tier products. Great sound. Not too much talking. Spray bottle, ticking clock, face massage...all some of my favorite triggers.

This video freaks me out, for the simple reason that I was in Georgetown just a couple of days before you posted this video and noticed this exact barbershop and thought it looked like the kind of place you would frequent. Sadly it was closed at that time so I couldn't visit myself.
One of the best shavers, I totally respect it when Harry goes for a barber for a shave and still the barber fixes his hair after the shave.

I really dislike a barber who tries to engage me in conversation by asking a bunch silly questions pretending they are interested in me. I'd rather they focus on the haircut and allow me to enjoy the experience. This a wonderful experience.

Somehow the colours, decor and feel of this shop is very 70s - just love it!
I had a shave at this shop after seeing this video when I was in Penang. Definitely book. They actually have two shops and about 6 or 7 barbers on who were all flat out whenever we went past. Also they are closed on Mondays. Shave takes about an hour and is one of the best shaves I’ve had.

Barbershops like this are rare in Germany, some hair stylists offer a shave. In the shops i know, never had this relaxing silence.
