- Busan was our second stop in South Korea where we spent a couple days exploring and seeking out a relaxing barbershop experience for a classic haircut, hair wash & style before traveling further. We found what we were looking for at OKID Barbershop.
It was so much fun to meet Jimmy Nam, barber and owner, and we absolutely fell in love with his one-year-old British Shorthair cat who is also named Jimmy 🐈🐾💕 They are always together.
Here is the haircut, wash, and style video we filmed with Jimmy who was born and raised in Busan, South Korea. Jimmy began cutting hair back in high school when he was 16, and he said his passion was to become a barber.
To learn and train as a barber, he spent a year working in Australia. Then he spent a year traveling through East Asia, Southeast Asia, India, and Europe. On his travels Jimmy found the barbershops so interesting seeing the distinct styles and personalities from around the world.

Still the best haircut so far. Fits really well to Harry and made him look ten years younger. Amazing work and dedication.
All that attention to detail in order to perform a “perfect” hair cut, and I can’t even find a barber who wants to spend more than 10 minutes cutting hair. Look at the all of the concentration he put in to the haircut! Barbers around me want $30-$40 to just buzz & snip then send you in your way. No attention to detail, no care, not NEARLY as much precision. Wish I had a brave like this around where I live. I’d be in that shop once a week just to stay looking as sharp as Harry does at the end of this cut! Much respect to this barber for his attention to detail, precision, and professionalism.
Not to undermine the barber in any way, but it is possible that the he went the extra mile because of the cameras and production crew present. There is no way to tell that he does such quality work for everyday customers...maybe I'm wrong...maybe I'm just accustomed to the lack of attention to detail from barbers here in the states. Haha

You make a valid point. I can not find a barber like you see in this youtube videos. Makea me wonder if they are even real sometimes haha. But yeah a barber around my neck of the woods charges 35-40 bucks before tip and doesnt do a quarter of what you see these videos..maybe I need to move to Vietnam.
The barbers in America need to watch videos of barbers overseas.. You would never get a massage from a barber in the states.. Snd if you did it would be 100 dollars..

My barber gave me a haircut like that when I was 7 years old. Everything that's old comes back again. He's one of the better Barbers I've seen on here.

Asian barbers are often some of the best, they take so much pride in their craft and it really shows in the end result. Not a lot of hair to work with but a fantastic job with the cut. Solid ASMR too.

Its amazing how concentrate is this guy in what he's doing.
I had no choice to concentrate on his hair. Last cut was Old traditional best Koean barber's hair cut who is 성우 이용원.
This guy is off the charts good 🔥🔥🔥. Much more contemporary styling compared to those other videos with excellent clipper and scissor skills on display here. Only thing lacking are the “stories of yesteryear” but we have to cut him some slack as this kid doesn’t look a day older than 25. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my Route 66 Barber Angel, but this kid is awesome too!
Impressive the controlled tecnique, minutely applied to get a finishing so polished, fitting and dynamic. The angles of the customer's face are all highlighted and rejuvenated by displacing the bulk of hair's volume on the top, and diverting some towards the forehead. The modern classic. I liked so much to see the energy of this stylist. It has been like seeing a musical piece evolving.....so much rhythm in those hands, such a dialog....

The best haircut yet what a talented young man
Wild seeing him go from an old school barber using tools from 1950, no electronic trimmer, looked very relaxing in fact, uses baby powder and pink aerosol hairspray 😂 to a modern barber/men’s hairstylist that instantly bust out the multiple trimmers buzzing in your ear lol, $600 dyson hair dryer, “Marshall” Bluetooth speaker on the shelf... a pound of pomade hahaaa! Talk about a time warp! Dude did a good job though

It surprised me how many different cuts you had over the years - this one is one of best along cut in Mumbai, India, Vancouver or Azores (by João Rocha in Ponta Delgada). It suits you PERFECTLY!!

Imagine, all this time and all these different places, and Harry ends up finding the ultimate haircut in Okid Barbershop in Busan, South Korea. It was a pleasure to watch from start to finish how this talented and meticulous barber created Harrys best haircut as of yet! For the first time while watching one of your videos Harry, i find myself wanting the video to end with a before and after sequence. Might be a nice addition for future videos!

harrys hair rly do need some texturizing, he should go for one complete texturizing hair cut some time.
@@cadeira2261 You should check out the Seongu South Korea haircut. The old gentlemen barber used texturing sheers as the main cut tool. At first I was unsure about it all, but that barber and cut was amazing by the end of it!
