I truly like this particular system. I wish they would make it so that if you already have soft boxes, you could use it with those instead of having to buy an entire new set of softboxes made by MagMod
nice!! excited to try all these out!
We're excited for you!
Great video! Thanks for putting it together.
I'm glad to know it's not just my imagination about the gels being initial tougher to pull apart. :)
These tips are quite beneficial. Thank you. As much as I tinkered with everything yesterday, I can practice more using the tips here to improve my set up. Cheers!
Great to hear! Thanks for the support Kenneth!
great tips ! i am hesitating with the xl pro kit and dual one. same case ?
Can this handle 800 watt light like Broncolor Siros? How do I connect this to a Broncolor Strobe?
just got mine!
Right on! Thanks for your support!
Great new system! Given the Bowen's mount, would you recommend this for continuous lights for video applications? Or would the plastic/rubber components not be a good fit for the heat of such lights?
We have a support question covering this in our FAQ page on the website, and we will keep updating that as we continue testing. Here is a link to that page. support.magnetmod.com/mag-mod-xl/monolights-strobes-video-lights-compatible-with-the-reflector-xl
We hope you find that useful. The part addressing video lights is toward the bottom of that page.
Hi. Will the Magmod work well with my flash in TTL mode and my camera in Aperture Priority mode?
It's surprising that MagMod didn't label and/or color code the grid alignment and the way its put on (such an easy thing to do). You have a black grid in a dark location installing the grid "properly". timestamp: 0:33
The MagGrid XL actually can mount either way. What I have found is easiest is if you plan on using with the MagSphere XL then just put those two together first (as the MagSphere does need to mount to the top of the MagGrid) and then take that stack and put on the Reflector. Super easy and fast to do, even in the dark. Hope that helps!
i dump all my softboxes all i use is this game changer
