Wow! Great catching all the trains, especially the CSXT9969 in Deshler, Ohio, UP military train in Hesperia, California, BNSF Heritage Units, and more, @Virtual Railfan, thank you.
@1208bug btw, I've never seen geese with tail or wing tip lights. Where do they come from?? I thought maybe in that part of the country the FAA requires geese to be lit up now. 😏🤣
Great ending sunrise with snow devils and sparkles! How does a railroad deal with an engine having a blown turbo? Do they pull it before the end of the run or?

I don't think so--he was running from something. Watch him look back after he stops to see if it's still behind him. It's a huge energy drain to run through deep snow like that, and they don't do it unless they really have to. Whatever it was, I'm glad he got away--he was a gorgeous young buck!
I swear that the AL Gilbert Co. locomotive at 20:04 is the exact same one I saw on a NS train in Knoxville, TN a couple days after Christmas. It was eventually on the TVRM cam in my hometown of Chattanooga and made the grab bag.
The Big Blue Caboose belongs to the US Navy, its one of a fleet of them used to escort "Special Nuclear Shipments" Heavily armoured and full of armed sailors
It could be something as simple as carbon deposits building up in the exhaust and burning as the locomotive accelerates. The worst case scenario is that it's a turbo failure, which if the diesel engine is not shut down, could cause catastrophic engine damage and failure and setting the locomotive on fire!
I'm Queensland born from Australia, and snow isn't something that occurs all that often up here, and if it does happen, it's not happening where I live, so I've never experienced it. Watching these videos gives me a sincere appreciation of the beauty of a snowy landscape. I do have a question though, does the Mississippi ever freeze over?
What the honk was up with that horn in Covington? Did it have the hiccups or was the engineer just feeling wild and crazy? It was fun anyway--and I always love the Happy Honkers of Chehalis too. It's even cooler that now they're waving. Thanks for another great one!
For sure. That train was sitting overnight nearby so when it was on video it was only a few miles from the yard. They were making a run at the hill so heated up pretty quick.
Geometry train diverting at the crossovers was nice, meet with local in Roanoke, three way meet in Ft Madison ,beautiful sunset in La Plata ,GE motor flaming, ice Sickles, military loads in Hesperia, great video, saw the Virginian EMD ACE on 13Z on rewind yesterday!🛤🚂
Brrrr! But I do love that series of little 'snow devils' at 29:15.
Nice moving triple catch!
LOVE ALL THE MEETS ESPECIALLY THE ONE WITH THE STEAMER IN THE BACKGROUND ... THANKS.
@ 13:58 ... a WOW moment indeed! @ 24:18+ ... Tanks for the memories!
I do love some csx BBQ in the morning
7:12 Nice work with the close up on the Rail Grinder at Elkhart 👍👍.
I always really enjoy seeing those too.

Pretty epic to see two Reading & Northern hoppers come into view just as their coach number 563 passes through! 8:06
Good eyes. Thank you for pointing that out.
@ 3:58 great shots of the Alien Invasion Force doing a fly over. Maybe they're following up on the SpecOps at Miami this past weekend.
Phoenix lights, or perhaps geese? 🙂
@@1208bug or Alien's ...the US Military say so.
my actual guess is probably a borealis discharge. but yeah, definitely little green men

Just want to show my gratitude for these unique vids, as for me they really represent why ive always loved UA-cam! Keep em coming!
Awesome Gyralight at the beginning!👍
I love seeing a Gyralight, wish they were more common these days!
Great ending sunrise with snow devils and sparkles! How does a railroad deal with an engine having a blown turbo? Do they pull it before the end of the run or?
Gotta love it when 2 or more trains race

If I could would give you a double thumbs up. Very nice ending 🎉👍🇨🇦

Nice one thats pretty cool i have no idea whats up in that sky weird is all i can say there keep up the good work
Saw the GE toaster live last night on the Cordele cam. That thing put on quite a show!
OUTSTANDING ! ! !
Very cool 😊
Good to see BNSF 9653 SD70MAC in Executive livery on the Point at Wichita. Also, the Commuter Trains at S. Norwalk Tower, thank you VRF.

At 5:07 you can see sparks coming out of the second locomotive.
That is a PENNSYLVANIA Congressional Express observation car.
*Nice Catches*
9969 on the CSX my favorite engine. Best looking of them all.
Hello VR Friends👋🏻
Nice
I didn’t know CSX had Mars Lights on any of its locos.
They bought it second hand from commuter operator MARC, thats why it has one.
Was that a swarm of UFOS at Kearney at 19:53?
At 3:30 but yeah I thought the exact same thing
Yes they were shaped just like a flock of geese 👍
It's the invasion force enroute after the special operations in Miami. "They're here...." 😂😂😂😂
@@adamc1966 I thought geese or cranes--something that flies in skeins
The Fairfield switcher is probably being transferred to the Gary Rwy

At minute 13:30, there is a hooper train, what is the destination and origin of this composition? Your videos are incredible, talking about Brazil.
11:00 And now Fast and Furious
How bad is fire coming out of the exhaust like on the csx? I swear one time when I was younger I saw an NS train doing that. Maybe the late 90s.
It could be something as simple as carbon deposits building up in the exhaust and burning as the locomotive accelerates. The worst case scenario is that it's a turbo failure, which if the diesel engine is not shut down, could cause catastrophic engine damage and failure and setting the locomotive on fire!
I always got a good laugh at the reporting marks of Wisconsin Central, given what "WC" means in much of the world.

Probably geese of one kind or another; either Canada or Snow. We have them around here, and yeah, they do sometimes fly at night.

Is that steam rising from the locos in Chehalis?
Hi there. Rainwater pooled on radiators when they finally heated up is when you saw the steam
