    Hi great info, I've recently gone for a band 6 interview, I'm a band 6 at a different trust for 6 years... however the feedback was I didn't mention staff lunch breaks , or the term smart goals ...this feedback seemed petty perhaps internal post... anyway I hope to go for band 7

    Hi Carol, I was wondering what you could answer for how to maintain networks and nurture key relationships? And why is that important. Would you be able to help me with this at all?

    • @carolforde-johnston

      Hi @LeeMaria143 Is this for an interview presentation or a general area you want to develop in your current role? If for a role then easier if you DM me on twitter or Instagram and we can arrange to chat through.

      @@L.M143 Good luck! Some stategies/tips in my 'Team Nursing' video & 'Dealing with conflict' video too. Maintaining networks & relationships as a band 6 about good communication, team work and dealing with issues constructively. Making sure you have good communication structures and open forums to develop relationships e.g. regular meetings. As a band 6 you have development reviews and appraisals. Utilising network opportunities across an employer, locally and nationally. There are NHS and RCN forums. Look at any structures they have locally that promote good relations. Hope that helps in some way.

    kindly tell me how to become nursing tutor in uk

    • @carolforde-johnston
      @carolforde-johnston  Рік тому

      Hi Sukhwinder do you mean University tutor or clinical tutor in a clinical setting? For University posts you'll need a teaching certificate/qualification and experience. Some will also request that you have a Masters. For some clinical educator roles they would expect clinical teaching experience and some will require a teaching certificate but sometimes they will offer to develop you as part of the role and it is not required as an essential. It is best for you to review some UK job descriptions and personal specifications as all essential requirements will be on there. The requirements may differ slightly across employers and Universities in the UK. I hope that helps.

    I have a band 6 interview next week. Theyve asked for a 10 minute talk. Is this the same as a presentation?

    • @carolforde-johnston
      @carolforde-johnston  5 днів тому

      Usually it is, if they have given you a title. You can usually use PowerPoint slides or a poster what ever you prefer to present with in your talk. If they haven't given a title then you will need to be led by the recruitment lead, as it may be different set up. Sometimes they just give you a title on the day and expect you to talk without slides. If in doubt check with the recruitment lead. They should also let you know if there are facilities to use PowerPoint slides in the interview and what the expectation is so don't hesitate to check with them if in doubt. I hope your interview goes well.

      Hi Aiden I have presented example generic questions and signposted how to plan your answers. The range of roles makes it difficult to answer questions specifically but you should be able to plan answers from your preparation. Good luck if you have an interview coming up 🍀

      Thanks for the feedback Tunde. There are 1000s of different types of posts at this level and answers in one video would not be indepth enough for these roles. You should take time to prepare answers specific to your specialist areas using your background reading and the preparation recommended in the video. I hope the suggestions in the video help and wish you well in any future interview.
