That spring and collar around the original inner barrel is not a stabilizer. It keeps reward pressure on the outer barrel which helps it drop faster, which reduces wear. Its a fantastic feature to have. Especially on tm glock builds. Ive seen expensive slide sets crack around where the barrel and slide lock up on top, and this feature can vastly extend the lifespan of some of these setups.
I just throw them away, because stock plastic barrels are uncool, and I have yet to see aftermarket barrels that natively support the feature. Good to know though, I will add that info to my head, I always just assumed it was a stabilizer. You didn't change my mind though, still going to change the barrel out always, and throw those pieces away.

The necessity to file the inside of a slide is far too rare for me to do a video on. In all the hicapas I have built, I have yet to encounter one where I needed to file the inside of the slide. Generally you only need to do this is if you use cheap parts, in which case I can't really help you out there as that's just a case by case fitment type of thing. So for aftermarket hi-capa slides, the way it works is they are manufactured in limited waves. Probably an average of 1 slide style per month. But some months there are 0 slides, some months 2 slides. This slide does come in black, but good luck finding one of this style in any color. If I remember correctly, these style of slides came out in the beginning of the year and there is no way any online store anywhere in the world still has them in stock right now. If you want this exact slide, you need to religiously check hong kong websites like a-airsoft, rainbow8, and jkarmy at least every week. It could take years for this specific slide to become available again, and only days for it to sell out. If you look for alternative slides, brands that are good are: airsoft masterpiece, EDGE, Gunsmith Bros, NOVA, and the new LACAPA ones. Stay very very far away from guarder slides. As for where I got my slide, I got it from my local store. I recommend you check your local airsoft shops and see if they have a selection of slides in stock.

Lube is hard to get right now. I use the angel custom lube. Light or medium weight is fine. Idk what's in stock, but 100% silicon oil drops is what you want. The spray kind is a little bit dumb.

In some cases, yes. In some cases no. It kind of depends. But I definitely recommend you get a steel outer barrel. I would probably actually do the barrel before you do the slide
so my question is.. why put parts on it that is worth more then the gun itself.. I cant help myself over it to get a nice slide that is 250 bucks.. can get a brand new hi capa for that.

steel bbs are smaller diameter than a airsoft guns, it gonna wear the inner barrel so much yeah and it will not have enough power to even launch it a a reasonable distance
You can get it on there with no extra parts, and it should work. But, optimally to ensure correct functionality, you need a stronger recoil spring, an airsoft masterpiece spec outer barrel, and an airsoft masterpiece spec guide rod. But, it'll work with just the slide if you don't want to spend the money for the other couple parts
They only make a few standalone parts as of right now. Lots of local brick/mortar shops sell them. Evike does not sell them, as lancer is basically the closest thing to a competitor evike has. You can find the barrel on airsoftgi.com or airsofmegastore.com They may be sold out as of now, but that's where you can get them online. If your local shop is a lancer tactical dealer, you might want to start there

We need a video on how to file the inside of the slide or what fixed outer barrels to use with it.

You don't have to. It is a good idea to get a lightweight bbu to offset the heavier slide.

I assume you are talking about the outer barrel? If so, yes. The Lancer tactical and airsoft masterpiece are essentially the same exact thing.

You can. It might just take a lot of custom work. Masterpiece slides are made for tokyo marui

yes, they are compatible. but i think you will also have to change the outer barrel, guide rod, and guide plug.
