Took the plunge on SE 2022. I was looking for an iPhone to replace my Pixel 4a. The only one that could fit my budget and still have a long enough iOS life would've been a 64GB iPhone 11. 64 GB is too small plus I am trying to avoid having anything bigger than my Pixel 4a. The screen isn't as good as the Mini, but a new Mini is too pricey. So bit the bullet & got the 128GB SE. We'll see how this works out.

Having a physical button to unlock the phone is so so convinient, people get lost jazzy features like faceunlock and indisplay fingerprint we have for lot of budget andiod phones r but none of then comapares to physical touch button like miles away. First day using it and been using it very extensively learning the ins and outs of iOS and all the handy tricks and shortcuts. Your review of this phone convinced me to switch and honestly, thank you!
Even though the SE three doesn’t come MagSafe capable all you gotta do is buy a case that has the MagSafe element in it and it’s just as good as any of these other ones that are MagSafe so you can get your mag safe battery and everything else it’ll be just like any of the other iPhones and you won’t be out of pocket more than 50 or $60
I have the SE 2020 and love this phone not only the cost but the amazing things I can do with it that satisfied my needs, I like video and pictures to create , people say your camera is not as good very true but I have apps that enhances my photos or videos that blows my families minds 🔥😊👍 ready for a upgrade with more gb and for 128gb it’s $300 now it’s on sale SURE I would like a newer 14 but I’ll take a Se or a 13 mini
I've had the 4s,6,6s,7 plus,12,12 pro max,13 mini and 13 pro max and samsung galaxy s22 ultra (back up device) , but recently just picked up the SE 2022 and i must say I've missed the smaller form factor and lightness of the phone compared to the larger phones I owned at one point over the years
@@TechOdyssey I’m hoping to get a surprise jump in performance, battery life & camera over the 8 😄 Love being able to use this one handed with Touch ID 🤩
Seeing everyone saying the battery life is terrible etc I’ve been using it & having a good amount of battery left even watching 10 or more videos on yt & only losing like 6 percent ( 10 minutes videos or longer ) the battery seems to be very decent and the speed is insane aswell as the camera and I’m coming from a iPhone 13 with 100 battery health
I have news for you, you don't need 4k 60 fps. In fact, 4k 30 is fine for the "taking head" and the majority of content as well. The 4k 60 is an exception. Used with fast action, such as sports.
Really love your reviews on all the different phones and your honesty, what do you think of the I phone mini Adam I still have the 12 I’m loving it but sometimes I wish I had a smaller phone but without the chin on the top and bottom what advice would you give thanks 👏😎🇮🇪
Still rocking my 13 Pro as well as the 13 Mini. I prefer the mini but the Pro has the camera stuff I use at work. The old style just isn't for me. I had the 8+ briefly. Then sold it. The first iPhone I actually LIKED was the 11 series. Now I R hooked on Apple. Nice vid, Adam.
i’m late. But i was using the SE 2020 for about a year and then when i finally got a line of service i got to upgrade to the new SE. Personally the only difference is how fast it is and battery life. Which isn’t a complaint. I never had an iphone with no home button so i dont care. And personally i’m not a fan of phones that are just screen.
Pixel 6!!! But yes my dad has the SE3 coming from the 7 and he is happy it's faster better battery but UI that he has gotten a custom to. He doesn't take pictures so the camera is no issue.
This is exactly what I’ve been saying to people when I purchased my SE 2020 years ago. This phone is basically great! No fancy stuff, just useful all around.
Great vid. I only subscribe to UA-cam content creators who are outstanding. You, sir, have been subscribed to. I have an old iPhone 7 Plus which I understand won’t support iOS 16. I’m 65 and semi retired and don’t need a flagship phone any more. My 2021 Mazda CX-5 has apple car play so I’ll be getting the this phone when iOS 16 is released. Again, great review as was your other SE review.
Thinking of owning it sooner as I had no prior iphone experience. Should I go for iphone SE 2 or SE 3? Keeping the price in mind as SE 3 is overpriced I feel?
The battery life and phone signal are better on the SE3. The 2020 may work fine in your area but I don't know how you networks are, if 2G/3G are still working, etc... But largely the experience is mostly the same.
I had the 2020 Se and had connectivity problems even after replacing it with another se 2020 and switching carriers. It was great phone otherwise and I miss it and preferred shape and form over the 12 mini (not the bezel). Battery on se 2020 wasn’t great but the same is true for 12 mini and I hear the 2022 se has an improved battery. I say all that to agree that I’m sure it’s a terrific phone but also think it’s probably more then enough phone for most people-most smart phone users don’t need 1200 dollar phones. I no longer have my mini, have the iPhone 13 since it was free and saved me money on carriers but I really miss the smaller phones like the mini and se. I don’t needed a 6 inch screen, but I do appreciate the battery life of the iPhone 13.
I am still on my 1. gen iPhone SE, but lately a lot of webpages doesn’t fit the screen. Is that problem solved in the 3. gen, or do I need to go with 13 mini to avoid that nuisance? 🧐
I’ve owned both phones and there wasn’t an issue. However I decided to stay with the 13 Mini cause the battery lasts you all day (if you’re not a heavy user).
ive got my one and im not a power user ive manged to save the battery till one day and also used to its very end and ive upgraded to 6s to se 2022 so its fast like a bullet and satisfying
I would love your thoughts on the mini lineup! if You could get your hands on one that would be great !! actually thinking of switching from 12 mini to se
i bought a 13mini and sold it a week later....not a fan of face ID and OLED. got an SE and love the battery life...if you put it on power saver mode you may even be able to last 2 days.
Hey ! for some messaging, web browsing and a little bit of youtube.. would the battery life be enought ? I'm not gaming at all and 5G is just useless where I live.
I have a SE first Gen still. Just now have ordered a new one because of certain issues. I have to wait for 3 to five weeks for it to come…there is a back log!
This is still an important iPhone for those 10% of us who can’t use OLED due to PWM issues. An SE Plus would have been so welcome, but won’t happen now, I guess as it could eat into the main iPhone sales. The increase in price is the same across the entire range due to the expensive 5G modem.
Doggone it. Now you're making me reconsider getting an SE 2022 instead of a 13 mini! Have Pixel 4a so the Touch ID is old hat to me. Just looking for a good solution to pair with my new MBP. Not wanting to shell out $800+ for an iPhone though.
Just had the 13 mini for a few months and that thing was great. Good screen size and battery life. Body size it's very slightly smaller than the 2022 SE
Honestly it's weird seeing so many iphone users preferring touch i.d because I see a ton of iphone users who always brag about the face i.d saying it's better than fingerprint
But that screen. How many videos do you watch on it? I can see it being a great phone for everything but video watching. I had the mini with it's 5.4 inch screen and videos were too small on that.
How do you guys deal with the Iphone's battery capacity? I've been a long time user of Android and what keeps me from switching to IPhone is the battery. With my Samsung, i get 8hrs SOT yet my battery is still at 80%. I'm not a gamer but im heavy on UA-cam, Netflix, Social Media. Even though I love the small form factor of this SE3, I'm still hesitant to get one.
An interesting video thank you. Like yourself I have the 13 pro , a great phone but for my small hands it’s just on the boundary of being just a little too big while at the same time being a tad bit heavy, in the hands, when watching UA-cam videos for long periods of time. The battery life more than makes up for the size. With that being Said I’ve been very keen on the the likes of the iPhone 13 mini and the se 2022, but always shying away from them due to the “small” battery size and the concern when using my phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot the battery depleting before your very eyes. I don’t use my phone for games and I never have done for me as I’ve mentioned already, videos, looking at news stories, phone calls and email’s. Watching your video has given me hope of enjoying this small compact phone but I’m just fearful of regretting it when using it as a Wi-Fi hotspot. I will probably just remain on the fence for now. On a side note does but related to this phone. Does apple still make the battery case for this phone or am I just dreaming ?
You can probably use a battery case for the iPhone 8, since the physical dimensions are exactly the same. But the take away is you would be blocking the phone's wireless charging pad in the back
My 7 died the other day so I’m using my wife’s old 6 and it doesn’t support some of the apps I was using. I was about to jump in both feet with the Max or Pro but now this has me questioning things.
has anyone gone from an iphone mini to this se? battery on my 12 mini is terrible, still on the fence whether to switch to the se or not ! I do miss touch id though after having the mini for almost about 8 months batter life is at 89%
@@bobafett7647 like having it as an option idk😂 im very indecisive, but ive been thinking of buying an ios phone for a long time and ive always wanted an iphone 7😭 which would you recommend?
Battery life on the S22 isn’t great but all around technically the S22 is better. Cameras, screen size, refresh rate, etc…. They’re really in two different classes. But, the heart wants what it wants. Sounds like you really want or try to the iPhone. It’s a great phone. If you want it go for it. Return it if it doesn’t make you happy. Easy peasy.
I have an s21 plus, but i need an iphone for family communication. This phone with the new A15 or the new iphone 14 pro that will cost more than $1000 is such a tough choice to make. :/

the ONLY thing I dont like about this phone is that it has black front even though the back is starlight color, I wish the front color could coordinate with the back, like old iphones
Didnt really know whats wrong with my brain, im really like the SE… im currently on 12 mini… but i really into the touch id, and the slimness…beside it A15… it going to last long… i do have a ultra wide angle lens right now on the 12mini, but i dont use it often, i do have night mode now, but i dont really taking picture in the dark… i dont know… should i get it???
If only they made an iPhone SE Plus... Also, switching to 4G(LTE) and turning off most of the notifications and maybe using power mode most of the time, the SE can last ever longer. I really miss the Hone button. I still have a 6S in perfect condition other than the battery.

A great little phone!
I've had the 4s,6,6s,7 plus,12,12 pro max,13 mini and 13 pro max and samsung galaxy s22 ultra (back up device) , but recently just picked up the SE 2022 and i must say I've missed the smaller form factor and lightness of the phone compared to the larger phones I owned at one point over the years
Mine should be coming tomorrow my first iphone
You’ve really done the SE3 justice, nice videos. Upgrading to the midnight SE3 very soon from an iPhone 8
Oh nice. That'll be good for battery and performance. Such a good phone.
@@TechOdyssey I’m hoping to get a surprise jump in performance, battery life & camera over the 8 😄 Love being able to use this one handed with Touch ID 🤩
So, do you think it's the best bang for your buck in Feb 2023? I'm looking to upgrade my iPhone 6s finally!
Is there a difference between the SE and 13 with using it as a WIfi hotspot?
Seeing everyone saying the battery life is terrible etc I’ve been using it & having a good amount of battery left even watching 10 or more videos on yt & only losing like 6 percent ( 10 minutes videos or longer ) the battery seems to be very decent and the speed is insane aswell as the camera and I’m coming from a iPhone 13 with 100 battery health
Never had an Iphone, but if I bought one, it would be this.
I have news for you, you don't need 4k 60 fps. In fact, 4k 30 is fine for the "taking head" and the majority of content as well. The 4k 60 is an exception. Used with fast action, such as sports.
It's not news. I'm well aware.
I have the iPhone se in red n the IPhone 13 in pink so far I have been using the se for Uber n Lyft it does the job n I keep the 13 as a backup
I love the classic style. I need the cameras though. It's a tough spot for sure.
Thanks for the feedback. Love the SE2020 and 2022
Pixel 6!!!
But yes my dad has the SE3 coming from the 7 and he is happy it's faster better battery but UI that he has gotten a custom to. He doesn't take pictures so the camera is no issue.
Dear , you have mentioned you are recording by iPhone , did you use front or back camera ?
Front
Do you work for Apple? How did you get the 2022 SE model? How does it compare to an Android?
I. Bought. It.
Just got my iPhone se 2nd gen and I love it my very first iPhone
Sweet! I'm glad you're happy with it
So tempted to take the plunge after trying it out and not having to stretch my hands uncomfortably to use it..
5g, Touch ID, A15 chip, small convenient size. It’s a win unless you NEED the superior camera and large screen
Thanks a lot. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for subscribing
What phone case are you using on it in the vid?
Nomad Leather Case for iPhone 7/8. You can find them on ebay.
Great review! What's the case on your SE?
Nomad leather case for the iPhone 7/8. About $10 on eBay
That’s odd. The 2022 SE has a much better modem and connectivity. It’s been working great for me
@@TechOdyssey I really think it was a fluke. Guy ATT kinda explained what might have been happening but too complicated for me to try to explain
Please comment back. Iphone SE 2022 or Samsung Galaxy S10e? I want to purcahse in the next few days. Thanks!
SE2022. The S10 isn’t even supported anymore.
I love mines is bomb for me im a stroke survivor my max was ridiculous im locking this one a lot my daily driver
I love this little phone so much. Do funny that such a small phone is so powerful
I have the se 2020. Replaced the battery after 17 months, now drained to 87%. May be time to upgrade…
Hey ! for some messaging, web browsing and a little bit of youtube.. would the battery life be enought ? I'm not gaming at all and 5G is just useless where I live.
Even with heavy use (calls, what's app, sat nav use and listening to I tunes) I had 50 per cent at the end of the day!
This or samsung s21 fe? They’re around the same price in my country
What case are you using?
It's a nomad leather case I got on eBay for $8
@@TechOdyssey Thanks for the quick reply! I just discovered your channel and and I really like your content.
@@timgorr4387 sure thing. Thanks for watching the video! Glad you're enjoying the channel.
Thanks
Great points
Thanks!
What’s the problem with oled screens exactly? And what people does it affect?
This is the reason I got it, no more PWM issues. So nice.
support lcd screen
Great phone so far. Nice follow up review
Thanks!
I’m considering switching back from my iPhone 13 mini! It just feels so much better in the hand with FEW compromises.
me too!! from 12 mini
Sell me your 13 mini if you do
That’s what I did
Doggone it. Now you're making me reconsider getting an SE 2022 instead of a 13 mini!
Have Pixel 4a so the Touch ID is old hat to me. Just looking for a good solution to pair with my new MBP. Not wanting to shell out $800+ for an iPhone though.
One thing to consider is that Androids and MacBooks both use the same charger. With the iPhone you are going to need an extra charger.
What Case is that on there? Thanks!

@@TechOdyssey Thanks Adam! Huge fan! I hope you’re having a great vacation!
@@lonyne sure thing. Glad to help; and thank you! It's been a blast so far!
@@TechOdyssey that’s awesome, I’m glad. You deserve it! Hard working creator 💪
I want to buy it but it only has 64gb and I want more????
It also has be 128 and 256
Yeah but I'm going to get it at metro and they only have 64gb. If I were to buy it at metro how would I be able to get more storage?
How do you guys deal with the Iphone's battery capacity? I've been a long time user of Android and what keeps me from switching to IPhone is the battery. With my Samsung, i get 8hrs SOT yet my battery is still at 80%. I'm not a gamer but im heavy on UA-cam, Netflix, Social Media. Even though I love the small form factor of this SE3, I'm still hesitant to get one.
I think you may misunderstand what screen on time is. No phone is getting 8 hours of screen on time and only using 20% battery life.
@@TechOdyssey I may but i wish i can send you guys a screenshot.. I do get surprised whenever i look at it.
iMessage and Airdrop honestly. Simplicity. Battery lasts all day so charging it overnight is not a problem
The big selling points on the SE is the - Price, The original features that made iphone great and And No mimics.
My favourite iPhone for a long time. Front camera only does FHD 30 fps, not 4K as you said, unfortunately.
Man I've got a feeling that the SE is only real succesor of Steve Jobs' idea of the iPhone.
Thank you
I would recommend doing like a 5-10 seconds intro to the video and then rolling the animation, that kinda does better In my opinion
Which would you rather have a 128 GB iPhone SE or a 128 GB Pixel 6?
Pixel 6
SE
Pixel
Just deciding between this and the s21 fe, not sure about that small screen though 🤔
It’s definitely a big size difference between the two screens.
S21 Fe all the way unless you are in the ecosystem
@@alpha20gr I’m half way in the eco system but trying to escape the Apple cult. Been offered the s21 fe for £429, that’s £270 discount
@@graham1155 if you want to get away from Apple, this is a good phone and that’s an incentivizing price.
The s21 fe is a good phone I was thinking of getting the iPhone but glad I went for the s21e instead
has anyone gone from an iphone mini to this se? battery on my 12 mini is terrible, still on the fence whether to switch to the se or not ! I do miss touch id though
after having the mini for almost about 8 months batter life is at 89%
I’ve owned the 13 mini and 2022 se. the 13 Mini’s battery lasts way longer than the SE. I had the 12 mini and it sucked. 13 mini is way better
should i get this or the s22( they are the same price as i preordered the s22) ? my biggest concern is battery life
Battery life is dreadful on the S22.
@@bobafett7647 what if i put it on power saving and 60hz and reduce the animation scales, is it still worst than the se?
@@iven3827 To be honest what’s the point of getting a phone with a 120hz screen and not using it to save battery. But the choice is yours
Easy peasy.
4:04 you get 1080p30fps
Why do you say that it has 4k30fps?
I have an s21 plus, but i need an iphone for family communication. This phone with the new A15 or the new iphone 14 pro that will cost more than $1000 is such a tough choice to make. :/

I didn’t go from the Pro Max to the SE. just felt like that was relevant
No worries. That would be a huge change for sure.
i moved from 13 pro to se 2022
the ONLY thing I dont like about this phone is that it has black front even though the back is starlight color, I wish the front color could coordinate with the back, like old iphones

Nice!
I have the iphone se 2

Cool
If only it was in iPhone 8 plus body, it would be perfect for moms and dads
I just skipped iPhone se 3 and I got instead XR
If only they made an iPhone SE Plus... Also, switching to 4G(LTE) and turning off most of the notifications and maybe using power mode most of the time, the SE can last ever longer.
I really miss the Hone button.
