This has been on my radar of projects to do for a long while now. Am hoping to start this year (finally) have saved all your videos for this for inspiration & instruction as I go along! Thank you for making & sharing the videos for this beautiful blanket. Even after so many years it’s still appreciated.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am a novice crocheter and didn't think I could do this. But following your video and the time you spent explaining every stitch and round I have successfully completed Part 1. I am overjoyed. THANK YOU AGAIN.
Thank you so much for this video I really needed help on some of the parts and the instructions are good on the site but this video actually helps so so much. so just wanted to say thank you so much. I would never have gotten this far without you❤❤❤❤ I look up other videos on some other projects I'm working on and you're teaching them too! so YAY! I'm really happy about that❤ on a funny note every time I have you on my TV my Alexa responds to your voice about five times a minute I'm not sure why😂😂😂
your voice is so calming. It's great to see your tutorial on this. I'm a visual learner and have a hard time reading patterns. do I'm so glad I get to make this awesome blanket. thank you!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the free video tutorials you share. Your voice, speed and clarity make your videos so easy to follow even for beginners. Keep doing what you’re doing!! My sister, nephew and myself are co-owners of a small community market shop that attracts tourists from around the world and I’ve made the Elements CAL using your video tutorial and have it on display at our shop! The attention it receives is unmatchable! I cannot wait to finish this Afghan to display as well. I mention that it was made using your tutorial and hopefully it is fine that I share your UA-cam page with anyone who asks 😁 We have visitors from all over the world especially during the local Wharf Ray Rally held in Digby NS which is only 20 mins from our shop.
So good to hear that your hard work get the attention it deserves. Your blanket is beautiful, I am sure. You are always welcome to share my crochet channel, it is for free and the goal is to help as many people learn to crochet as possible. So share the love I would say
Hi! I saw another pattern you've done the tutorial for so I liked and saved it. Now I see this one and I'm in awe! I've subscribed to your channel and just ordered the pattern for Sophie. I know I'm really late seeing this, but I have to try it. 5 years ago I don't think I would have had the nerve to do this. Thanks to others who teach, like yourself, I've learned so much. Thank you so much for all the work you put into the tutorials. Also, a special thanks to the designers who allow you to share their gifts. You're all wonderful!😃
Thank you so much for this amazing video. I can read patterns, but this makes crocheting a new project so much more relaxing, and like someone else commented...your voice is so relaxing, and your instructions are clear and easy to understand. THANK YOU!!
I've always felt intimidated by crocheting since I'm left-handed but you make it look soo easy. I've never touched a crocheting hook before your tutorial and I'm already on round 9 without any major mistakes! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this series of videos. I found the Sophie’s universe book at a yard sale and tried to follow, but I struggle with one dimensional directions. I’m so glad I found you. 😊
Thank you so very much for making all these videos! I just started crocheting not too long ago and I thought I wouldn't be able to do a Sophie's Universe, but I am by following you on the videos!!! Thank you so much for all the time you invested in this and thank you for sharing!!!!!
Thank you so much, I have been desperate to do this cal but scared to attempt it..you've made it so simple to follow! I'm ready for part 2! Thanks a million! Xx
Ive just got all the yarn and pattern ready to do Sophies garden the winter one and when i realised you did the videos I was so pleased 😊 I have used your video tutorials for a couple of different CALS and you are the best 👌🏻 Thank you so much for taking the time to do these as I am self taught from videos like yours. Keep up the great work and have a lovely Christmas & a happy and healthy New Year ❤
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I began week 1 last night after my stonewash yarn arrived. I was able to figure out what I was doing wrong for week 1 after reading and re-reading the part I was stuck on once I watched you. I look forward to following along the video for week 2.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it's been so helpful to see what to do, especially for the front and back post stitches. I look forward to the rest of them and I really appreciate that you took the time to make them for us.
Hi, I love the way you are teaching us; and too, I like your calm voice! I am interested in CAL patterns and I found out that you are the one who makes the youtube tutorials!! What a blast.
Hi. Thankyou so much for your excellent tutorial I was given spohie stool kit for Christmas and after lots of frogging for size I have finished the top. Has anyone done a video for sides because I cannot follow the written patter. ?? Please xxxx
My name is Daidre so imagine my surprise when I heard my name here. We spell our names differently but pronounced the same. I have only seen my name only a handful of times in my 61 years. Lovely pattern. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks so much for this Part 1 !! As in the Charlotte Square tutorial you are clear and specific. I enjoy so much your work.! Thanks again from Argentina.!,
Hi I've always wanted to make one of these and I've just completed this video. Only making one mistake had to go back and fix it. Thank you for making it so easy to finish and looking forward to the second video. AWESOME!
Oh my gosh, doing to Mandala madness and someone mentioned this one too...I never realised there was a video to it!!! Thanks again, another project lined up!!!! :D
In that 3rd row, after you make the first standing sc, to make the 1st dc which can be tricky to find, go to the 5th dc of the petal and count back. Easier, quick and takes the guess work out. Your stitches are perfect.
I'm sooo happy to run into you again Esther, you've been such a wonderfull help with the Mandala Madness blanket!!! Now I'm even more excited (and confident 🤗) making this beautiful blanket!!! Thank YOU!!! 🌸 Groetjes, Monique
Thank you for doing these videos! I can't wait to get started on Sophie's Universe...and I was SO glad to come across your videos to help me along the journey!
Thank you for your tutorials you explain so well and your close ups are great becuase I'm diabetic and it's hard for me to see since I've lost a little of my eye sight thank you sweety God bless you
Muchas gracias por el video, aunque no entiendo nada de inglés , tus explicaciones son tan explicitas que me ha resultado facilísimo seguirte, gracias-
Thank you. I've started the Sophie from reading Dedri's book. However round 6 got me confused looking at the photos and reading the instructions and back and forth like a tennis match. It drove me nuts. Seeing your video helps very much. 👍
Watching the video she said a dc before the fpdc, ch 2,dc after the fpdc, then going down hill so ch 2 and then hdc, ch 2,sc, then back up but she says hdc and does a dc 😉 . I caught it and I understand what she's saying so it's hdc. I will get the pattern as soon as I can get the yarn. (Patiently waiting for my spending money 🤑)
Hi, this is an awesome tutorial! Thank You. I seem to have lost sound at 31:30 just as you were finishing off the back single posts. Has anyone else lost sound? Thanks!

I think you explained every step well... the only problem I had was that I didn’t change colors at all bc I’m working with an ombré yarn so I had to guess where to slip stitch to for those rounds. But I’m pretty sure it looks good lol. Thnks for the video 😉
Thank you so much for this video. I was starting to feel very over whelmed but this helped me get back on track and am ready for part 2. I guess that is not too bad considering part 4 is coming out today.

Thank you so much for your help. I am also wondering about hook sizes. I like working with worsted weight and it has been suggested to start with a 5mm hook then increase to 5.5mm Any suggestions on that ?
Yes, you want to go up a hook size from part 7 or 8 because Sophie buldges a bit. Your hook choice seems appropriate to me.
Thank you very much. Now I will buy the wool and then begin. Greetings from Germany.
