Here are some random fun facts about the Rammstein live experience, referring to their 2019-tour in particular, which was a new kind of insane, even for Rammstein-standards. When Rammstein is coming to town, this is what usually happens:
    - the crew and 60+ trucks with equipment arrive a week early for the stage needs about 6 days to be built
    - you probably won't have any tickets (at least in Europe, they sell out within minutes and getting tickets comes down to sheer luck), so you're gonna join the hundreds of people cluttering the wider area around the stadium to catch a glimpse. And it's actually almost as good as being inside, because:
    - the vibrations caused by the speakers can still be picked up 20 km away, When you're actually there, you kinda feel your inner organs shaking
    - according to legend, the airspace around the location is closed, no planes are allowed to fly over due to the intensity of the lightshow, which can be probably seen from space
    - the local fire departments tend to get hundreds of calls from worried citizens who are under the impression that the stadium is on fire. To prevent this, radio stations are broadcasting "warnings" like, "Guys, Rammstein is in town today. Most of you will know what that means. For those who don't: Please refrain from calling the fire brigade when you hear explosions or see giant pillars of fire at the horizon, this is all peeeerfectly normal. Have a nice day! "

I´ve once been to a Rammstein-Concert during a festival. For some reason they were lined up together with K.I.Z., who do veeery famous and rocky rap-music in germany, and had to play outside next to each other at the same time. Rammstein was not only louder, the moment they started with fireworks K.I.Z. interrupted their concert cause Rammstein was just louder and got even the attention of the croud from K.I.Z. xD

The keyboarder Flake once told how he was sitting in a cab in New York and heard the English version of "Du hast" and he thought it was a cover of the song because he had already forgotten that this version existed.

You can listen to 80 songs from Rammstein and they are all good. Don`t settle for 3 songs, you`re missing out. Rammstein has not gotten older since 1994 but wiser and better. There are songs that are political, sexual, cruel, funny, sad or thougt-provoking. Everything from metal, hard rock, techno, ballads or even classical, you will be surprised. Have fun and greetings from Mönchengladbach- Germany 🖤🤍💚

Currently their touring Germany and also several cities in other European countries with their Stadium Tour and have like 50.000 to more than 80.000 people in the audience. Look for "Rammstein live in St Petersburg," or "Rammstein live in Berlin" (2019), if you want to see one of their more recent concerts, in full. Their stage performances put other bands to shame.
Du Hast is "You have," Du Hasst is "You hate" The English lyric version is the "you hate" version. Rammstein is Industreial Metal.
Their stage pyro is often just as big in America, as elsewhere. The concerts in North America (US/CAN) tend to be quite rare, and limited in stops, though.

Good reaction. Slipknot are jumping around clowns with stupid masks and poor preescholars compared to Rammstein when it comes to shomanship. By the way Rammstein and Nightwish have the best live mixers in these days.

    The Rammstein members are:
    Vocalist: Till Lindemann
    Lead Guitarist: Richard Z. Kruspe
    Rhythm Guitarist: Paul Landers
    Bassist: Oliver "Ollie" Riedel
    Drums: Christoph "Doom" Schneider
Keyboardist: Christian "Flake" Lorenz (pronounced Flak-eh).
Fun fact: The band formed in 1994 in Berlin and have never had a member change in its existence. Its been hard but they've been able to get through it and are still around today. Its astounding to me, and I'm proud to say that I am a Rammstein fan! Oh and they've done that EXACT stunt in Du hast in the US lol.

ammstein always have awesome videos, but their live shows are even beyond these.
    Here are some suggestions:
"Sonne" (Live at Download Festival 2016) --> Hot as the name giving sun (Sonne = Sun)
"Ich tu Dir weh" (Hurricane Festival / Rammstein Official) --> Great singing and insane stage action towards the end)
"Mein Teil" (Live Hurricane Festival 2013) --> Read the story behind the song (a real case of cannibalism!) first
„Willst Du das Bett in Flammen Sehn" (Paris Version) --> Pyro Fashion, power, everything that Rammstein stands for
"Benzin" (Madison Square Garden) --> Benzin = Gasoline --> burns well. And maybe also a man?
There are of course a lot more insane live videos of them: "Links 2,3,4", Engel, "Mann gegen Mann", "Mutter", "Feuer Frei", "Ich will", ... Have fun and rock on!
Paris is more a concert movie with post production and released as Directors Cut“.
You have to be aware that here a German band is playing in Paris / New York and the French / American audience is singing along in German. Music can unite! :-)
PS: Insane fireworks in USA as well

No, only three of them where mainly in Feeling B. As Feeling B was founded, only Paul Landers and Flake was in there. Till was a fan of feeling B. He was the drummer in "First Arsh", so had nothing to do with "feeling B". If I am not wrong Richard Z. Kruspe was there for some gigs, but never a "real member". Richard was in a band called "die Firma" and another one, I don't remember right now. Oli was in the band called "The Inchatobakatables". His band, and the first "Rammstein-formation" was practising in the same "building" (was more a cellar). Rammstein formed unofficial in 1993 as "Templeprayers" (I hope I am not completely wrong there) and was shortly named Rammstein Flugschau, until it became Rammstein in 1994.All are coming from the former GDR and Till said himself that they hate Nazis. I am a fan since 1997. Enjoy the weekend.

@@Killermcknight hi 👋🏻 I just wanted to share my discovery and rediscovering of Rammstein. You said you had heard of Rammstein & Du Hast but then they fell off the face of the earth and you moved on with your life. Well I didnt even know they existed until like 2001. The only songs i remember hearing were Du Hast, Links 2 3 4 and Ich Will. I had no idea who they were or what they looked like i just knew i liked what i heard. Then in 2002 i saw the movie XXX and that scene came out and this band came out singing and omg it sounded so good and then i saw the singer and i was like 🤤 😁 But I had no idea who they were? I did not know they were a real band or that they were the ones I had heard before in the club...I honestly thought they were just actors pretending to be musicians..lol 😅
Well afterwards i did find out they were Rammstein but then they disappeared and it wasn't until 2019 that i by accident on youtube first saw and heard them again and I have been completely infatuated ever since..especially with Till Lindemann 😍💖
Sorry for such a long comment i just wanted to share this with someone who could also relate.
      Thank you 🙂❤

Are you considering reacting to the new song, Zeit? It's quite different from the stuff you've heard from them and yes, research is advised (meaning you should take a look at the translation of the lyrics, it's worth it -- a huge part of Rammstein is their lyrics).

"Du hast" is a play on words that only works in German. "Du hasst"=You hate and Du hast =you have. It is pronounced identically but spelled differently. At Madison Square Garden in NY they were also allowed to work a lot with pyrotechnics in 2010. Rammstein is not a Nazi band, they have nothing to do with it politically.

You wanna tell me, that you cant do fireworks on a zipline done by educated and qualified pyrotechnicians during a concert because of laws and safety reasons in a country where one can buy guns in a supermarket without any qualification? :D find the error.
But nice reaction. I´m german and i like reactions to german music. Rammstein is definitly one of the most iconic metal bands. But also, they are complicated and one can´t really understand them until one knows german and/or german history. Rammstein plays with words, phrases and sentences like a magician. But because of that, their songs dont work in translations. So even if one translates their songs, you couldnt fully understand what they are actually doin there. Like you said with "Du hast" (engl.: "du hast" = you have, "du hasst" = you hate). Even written in german their songs dont work sometimes xD You have to hear them.
And if that wasnt enough they like to provocate and "piss off" people. Often they put songs in a context, which one just understands after hearing it three times and only if they have historical knowledge. Like Deutschland. You have to know more than just "Nazideutschland" to understand the song and all the provocations that came with it. It was phenomenal. There are analytic videos on UA-cam over half an hour just taking apart the song and the video. Or "Mein Teil" (great live perfomance btw.) where the song is sang from the perspectiv of a cannibal who actually existed and ate somebody. Maybe even their Song "America" were they criticise the USA probably wont transport what they mean if one translates it..
    Definitly worth digging into.
And one question left: I dont wanna offend any american or so, but by now i watched many americans and some other people from other countrys review Rammstein, but its allways the americans who kinda not getting any of the historical contexts except those from Nazi-Germany (and even those are wrong sometimes). Dont you get taught roughly the history of other countrys, which were at least connected to the USA? Not in Detail, but like the DDR and the UdSSR in the cold war, the RAF, the times between the wars (all shown in Rammstein - "Deutschland"), stuff like that? Or Tribes in Germania and Rome, which are partly ancestors of modern americans, too? I mean we learn a lot about history (also american history) in school. I`m just curious..

At the beginning of their career, Rammstein was said to be politically right-wing, even in Germany, precisely because of the rolling R, which was and is complete nonsense. The reason: Hitler and Goebbels emphasized in their hate speeches again and again this rolling R!
At that time, I felt the same way as you and therefore I didn't even listen to Rammstein.
But when they became headliners at "Rock am Ring" 2010, I realized that something can't be right, because in Germany "right-wing rock" is forbidden by law and at Germany's perhaps biggest festival no radical group would ever be allowed!
I grew up with Deep Purple and a lot of progressive rock and the later emerging metal hype never interested me because I found it pure noise but Rammstein stand out so pleasantly because they prove that hard music can also be melodic and complex.
"Mann gegen Mann" - ua-cam.com/video/tsHCcu0Mz2E/v-deo.html - is a statement against homophobia and the "Welcome sign" that Til holds up to the other band members on the 2019 tour after "Engel" when they are carried back to the main stage by the audience in a rubber dinghy is a political statement for the refugees who have drowned by the thousands in the Mediterranean. Links 2 3 4 - ua-cam.com/video/9bJP7Qe41Fk/v-deo.html - is a clear statement against militarism and right-wing radicalism.
Text excerpt: Sie woll'n mein Herz am "rechten" Fleck doch schau ich dann nach unten weg dann schlägt es "links" - They want my heart in the "right" spot, but if I then look down away then it beats "left". How should all this fit together with a political right attitude? Total bullshit
To this day, I could bite myself in the butt for jumping on the Rammstein bandwagon so late !

I know I didn't go into much detail about how I felt in 2006 about the band but you clearly stated it here and yes we did completely feel the same way. because of UA-cam I didn't want to really offend anyone with my personal opinion or get into any political correctness arguments. I'm glad that you picked up on that. I will check out more of their songs I like the music which is great start because now I have to put in a lot of time and effort to translate and find the meaning of their songs on my own. usually I wouldn't do that for a band unless I absolutely loved them. Even American bands I have to love the song to look up the lyrics if I couldn't figure it out by listening to it.
