- This video is about a tire review I did on the Motoz Tractionator Adventure & Tractionator GPS…
The Tractionator Adventure had nearly 3500 miles on it after riding it through the LA-Barstow to Vegas ride… Amazing knobby tire… LONG Lasting Wear…!!!
The Tractionator GPS had about 5,500 miles on her when I finished this review. Took the GPS on some serious single track in MO & CA… Great 50/50 tire...
Great review buddy.
Get some!!
I will be trying these on my vstrom, see how they go in the Australian bush.
They are from an Australian company, built tough for Australian conditions. From Oztralia, the land of OZ; So the emphasis is on the last syllable - motOZ.
Good idea Ben. I was a tech at Brown Motor Works(BMW) in Pomona.
Thanks for the review. I have a tractionator adventure on the rear of a KTM 1190 R and have gotten 6500 km (~4000mi) out of them so far and reckon I have about ~2000km left. I was very interested in the GPS as my new tyre as I will be doing a much longer road trip in the next year. Cheers
Freedom isn't a word you can use in California!!! I have to try these on my 14 1000 V Strom..
I have the Tactionator GPS on my BMW GSA 1200 and have 11,000 km and I have at least 2000km left on the rear the front at least 5000km
Appreciate the review!
Good video man I'm from Beech island sc right outside of Aiken .
Here is an option , run the Adventure on the back for long life and the Adventure on the front as the big pigs tend to wash out on the loose stuff. I am running this combination on the 660 Tenere and my 1100GS
Hi Rob, maybe a typo. You mean GPS on the rear and the Adventure on the front?
Brilliant
You did see the guy with the horse head mask on behind you at skunk works right? lol VLOG BOMB!!! ha ha ha ha
LoL… you are only one of a few people who actually saw that… ;-)
I saw him right away :)
Hi, I'm looking for some new tires to replace the stock Pirelli's on my T7. Which one do you advise based upon the fact I'm planning to do the ACT Portugal (TET) and a lot of twisties. I assume the ADV will handld better on the dirt and the GPS on the road?
Hey Raymond… Definitely the ADV will be better off-road, they also are good tires on-road and have a long lasting tread… On trips where I know I will be doing both on-road and off-road I would go with the Motoz Tractionater ADV 👍
@@ChadWarnerRidingAdventures Thanks for your advise.
Great video, subbed! Have to ask, if you've heard of the Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross AX41 Tire? Would love to see your opinions on it. Keep up the great work!
I have not heard of those Bridgestone tires… May just need to find a distributor and give them a try… Thanks you your comment...
Tractionator pulls like a train on dirt, confidence inspiring in the mud / wet gravel. On road it doesn't stack up to a TKC80, when pushed around corners it walks out on the outside knobbies, and gives way just a little earlier, it' certainly makes you a bit wary. I push the TKC80 on the road and never get concerned, ever. But Tractionator is 10-20% % better on the dirt simply because it's more aggressive with deeper tread. For all round use, it's still the TKC for me. Just works everywhere, including wet tar. Tractionator a bit iffy on wet tar.
I'm going on an (unusual) tar trip and will fit a GPS for that run, the TKC80 is definitely the benchmark allrounder.
It's been a long time since I road on TKC80 tires… It was a great tire… The one thing I do remember as a draw back for me, was the life of the tire when I had to travel "long" miles on pavement to get to my favorite Colorado off-road riding from my home… just over 2,000 miles out and back on pavement :-(
For me, the Tractionator ADV has been the best knobbie tire when it comes to the life of the tire when having to combine long on-road & off-road trips…
@@ChadWarnerRidingAdventures Totally agree, but my life is more important than the life of a tyre. The ADV just doesn't hold the road pushing hard in the twisties. Here in Oz with road temps in the plus 50C range the ADV doesnt get stickier, just feels like it's getting loose on the edges.
I didn't get the GPS, I ended up with a TKC70, simply because I know the compound is same, or similar to the TKC80. It just sticks. I'll try the GPS maybe next changeover.
@@IamthePMofAustralia Let me know what you think of the GPS if you end up changing over… Safe travels…!!!
@@IamthePMofAustralia update?
I'm I'm looking for a set of aggressive tires that I can push hard in the twisties
Got 10,000 miles on my kenda K270. 4.5x18. Still could get another 1000, but decided to do a complete ground up rebuild and custom rebuild. But ya, over 10,000+ miles. Not even near the rub strip yet. And always travel loaded up with gear.
What do u run on the front
@@IAmYourReflection is ran the same thing. But now getting into more BDR style so need more traction. Little more expensive, but way more traction....motoZ Desert Terrain HT. Front and rear. Plows through even snow.
The GPS is only for small bikes! I had on my Africa twin wand had the carcass split completely through and leave me stranded.... they do have great traction wet or dry and nice lateral stability,,, but they do not last! And are dangerous due to the unpredictable sudden splitting of the carcass. Just don't use these wait till they get the design sorted mine had a production date of 5017 50th week of 2017....when they say cracks they should say sudden split all the way through all 4 plies and shredding the tub... good luck if you try them...
Max… I am on my 3rd pair of GPS Motoz tires… I have gotten good milage with both previous pairs (6,000 to 7,000) Never had the issues you mention… I will definitely keep an eye out on these pair...
sounds like you had a bad one.
Perfect video. Just decided to buy set of those ... 7:30sec and 7:50sec LOL :-D :-D :-D
You will be happy with those tires… Let me know what you think once you put some miles on them…

that's a thorough review, thanks! I was so distracted by your pronunciation of MotoZ (should be Moto-Z in my view), that i had to really focus to get the rest of the review. That Brad sure is a horse's head.......
Thanks Nathan... soooo many people miss Brad walking behind me in the Horse Head... he was a good sport for playing along.
It’s Mot-oz. As in Oztralia
How is the tractionator gps front tire on high speeds..... does it wobble want to try it on my f800gs ?
I did a review before this one that talks about the front Tractionator GPS… See what you think of that video… If you have more questions let me know…ua-cam.com/video/JfVBXatwjnM/v-deo.html
What about the gps on wet pavement.
Tom D .... I found that GPS tires handled better than the K60 in the rain... they didnt feel as loose to me... I've had some wobbles in turns on the K60... not so much on the GPS... 😀👍
Tom D . Sketchy judging by my electronics and seat of my pants in city. Painted lines and steel covers...no go.
Open road ok up to 60-70mph front follows grooves slightly. Gets weave at 90. Better that Conti's due to price and longevity.
Ktm1050. 29psi front. 32 rear. Instantly looks like a dirt bike.
Im no Charlie B, I'm 80/20 have these on just for the local forest and 20miles of black sand beach. Other wise Scorpion trails 2 anyday for a fast rainy road/gravely camping trip. CJ Auckland NZ
