I bleached my hair for the first time in December and I'm coming up on doing my roots for the 4th time. Your videos have helped me so much, I'm definitely getting better at it.

I’m so glad you mentioned the fact that breakage lasts MONTHS after the damage is done. I think it lasted about 6 months for me. It was bad for 3-4 months then it slowly dissipated.
Will be doing my roots this week. Have artic fox blue and purple in my hair and doing everything I can to get rid of them. Finally feel brave enough to do the sunset hair for fall lol
Punkycolour color remover got blue and green out of my hair. It works really well and has a bond repair mask that comes with it.

@@bananabreezey I'll look into it. The vitamin C method hasn't helped, and I'm almost platinum underneath so I rather not fully bleach it but the LONGGGGGG fade out process sucks lol

I had purple on a couple of front pieces in my short hair. I decided I wanted pink on those pieces, soooo I bleached the purple and it turned a lovely shade of light MINT GREEN ! Just thought I'd share that ! Love that you're posting more. x
Now when you say “ lovely shade of mint green” do you mean it’s a pretty mint or ugh mint? Because I can see it being a nice color. Not to put a pale pink over but maybe nice to keep for awhile.

I'm no expert, but I think the leftover blue pigment, from the lavender reacts with the underlying yellow pigment from the bleach, turns the hair green. Love your videos!
Huh, that does make sense now that I think about it cause lavender usually has a blue undertone to it.

Hair has multiple growth cycles so when you said it feels like it is falling out for months, it’s just the damage finally showing itself on the new hair growth. I have Graves’ disease so I know the hair loss struggle. Love you and your videos!

I bleached my roots last weekend (with Blondme) and a bunch of my small baby hairs at the front completely snapped off 😢 lol RIP baby hair 😂 But now I'm going to give my hair a break and leave my roots until probably Christmas time and have some fresh (hopefully healthier) hair for the new year!

I dyed my hair funky colours for the first time ever. You inspired me! It looks terrible, I can barely see it, coz it the underneath section of my hair. But I feel amazing! I can see this turning into a full blown addiction. I already can't wait for it to fade so I can try more colours😁

That experience you had from the salon you wanted the extensions service has happened to me multiple times when I ask if they can do a regular root touch up + toner, they say no because I like to do the color myself at home after... So every time I have to bleach and color by myself.
I miss my rainbow hair but don’t wanna bleach my hair again and I can’t seem to figure out the vitamin c method but after yesterday video imma try again.
I also need to bleach my roots again!!

I recommend the blonde me cool additive:) for me it is bleach & tone in one step and I just keep up with purple shampoo. Also my hair never pulls that yellow so instead the 1:6 ratio recommended on the box I mix 1:10 hope this helps someone out... The tube lasts me for like 4-5 root touch ups instead like one tube of toner for 1-2 applications so not only it saves time but also money :)

extensions are so much fun! wait until you try single strand extensions (utip keratin extension!) It is great for fine, but full blond hair. I have had several sets in my time and loved the results each time. donna bella was the last set I had installed at the NYC hair show.

I'm going to be bleaching all my hair to prep for a horizontal split dye (teal & purple). and your videos are basically going to be guiding me through the whole process. lol
I'm super nervous though because I'm autistic and anytime I do anything with my hair, I get like halfway through and have a meltdown. (I get overheated and tired and hungry. I have thin hair but A LOT of it.) So I think I might have to break it up into bleaching the back then bleaching the front then bleaching my roots, but I dunno yet.

LOL! Those sew-in prices are why I learned to do it by myself. If you can bleach your hair by yourself, then you can do the sew-ins as well - just have to be patient and practice! I actually stopped bleaching my roots every month and have noticed less damage and more hair growth. Now I just do them every three months and in between that, I use a high lift dye to lift them and then tone them back down with a semi. Way less high-maintenance. Love your vids Aislin!
I rebleach my roots every 5 weeks or so. I did the jawbreaker technique from your video in rainbow but i adapted it because of my layers. The first time I did 3 different tears but i do 2 and the bottom horizontal violet to blue to green

I totally relate to this because I accidentally messed up the left side of my head back in October 2020.
It won't stay curly anymore as a result and I've had to layer it in order for it to not feel/look dead. Thankfully, my hair doesn't break/fry easily so I've just been trimming it as needed and only bleaching my hair every 6 months

I thought of a direct dye that just came out (trademarked in Feburary of this year) that you should totally try! It's called Strawberry Leopard, I found it at Sally's! I guess it's a direct dye that also has bonding agents in it for your hair! Sounded so awesome!

Okay the ion lavender gave me green hair for MONTHS, the purple lasted 3 washes (in cold with color safe shampoo) and then it was swamp green. It took pulp riot blank canvas to get it out, no other color remover touched it

Ma'am, I enjoyed your vlogs. I've been working from home for a year and a half and haven't left the house much because of Covid. It has been really stressful w/ my husband being a firefighter/medic during all this and I also lost my step-dad to leukemia a couple months ago. When I bleach my hair I always use 20 vol developer, it takes longer time but the hair goes through all of the stages in bleaching slowly if you use 20 vol developer. If you use 30 vol developer, the hair rushes through the stages and doesn't get as white as if you would use 20 vol developer. So I prefer 20 vol developer 😄
Girl, ive been thinking about tape-ins because i completely ruined my hair. The whole top layer of hair burned off and is super short and the long in the back is still so damaged on my ends its like elastic and breaks right off when i brush or pull it. I pretty much have a mullet.... Ive been trying to use faux dreads which i LOVE but my scalp breaks out and i cant figure out why! So maybe tape-ins is next?

Ever since i shaved my head, I've been bleaching my roots, and now I have a hankering to go brown 😭😭. Do you have any brown dye recommendations that will completely fade out eventually?? I don't wanna waste all of the effort i put into the blonde. I love the blond, I just want something darker for fall/winter!! I trust your opinion 💕
I bought that combo and unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to it. I was so sad. I’ve used the original version of that duo but the bond enforcing formula didn’t work out for me. Anyway love your videos! 💜
