I've had success with the keytool max toyota key renewal feature all the time
Have a similar issue with a customers car. CT200h hybrid 2013 I believe. I’ve done the steering lock and module sync and have a new smart box with no luck. I am able to get the ignition on with the analog fob, but can’t get it to go into gear or turn completely on. I’m wondering if my Ecu is bad at this point. Customers battery went dead, customer changed battery and now it’s been dead ever since then. Can’t add a key or do all keys lost. Add key works but quickly skips over the step to scan new key and says success. Super big headache!
Great video
Thats not as bad as audi , i just done audi a7 were the wiring on gearbox fills with water and corrodes the pins away in gearbox module , audi wanted £8000 in parts . i stripped gearbox and had module plug replaced . backing business . thankyou great video i will remember that when i get a toyota in next
My sisters 2014 gen 3 prius all smart key and remote lock funtions do not work. We have to use the emergency key to unlock the door. To start the car, the key fob needs to be pressed against the start button. Key fob battery volage on both fobs is just above 3 volts. Press the buttons on the fob the fob light comes on. Key fob near or in the car does not cause the fob light to blink. Note: A remote after-market starter that had stopped working was removed. This did not fix the problem. I picked up a used Certification module off of Ebay. I also have Autel KM100 key programming tool. Is the module communication different when key fob held by the start button versus fob proximity starting? Using my Xtool D8 scanner yielded no fault codes.
You need to investigate the remote control door lock receiver
@SpartanAutoworx Do you know exactly the location of the receiver box on Gen 3 Prius? It's some place on the rear passenger side of the vehicle. I suspect possible corrosion or mouse wire nibbling issues with the receiver box.
I'm dealing with the same mess. My dad's car, hit a deer, broke the windshield, lots of water came in on the dash. Plenty of codes to check out led me to the ID box. Tore the dash apart to replace that. Now can't get it to program the smart ecu, says it fails. So, now replacing that ecu and I'll try again. Maybe the transmission ecu too. They all share the same LIN for communication so it's possible when the water shorted the one computer it killed them all. The hard part is now that I replaced the ID box there are no codes, just no Ready mode. I've read the smart ecu will lock after 10 key cycles so I'm just going to replace with a used one and try to reprogram it to the rest. Fingers crossed...
What scan tool?
@@SpartanAutoworx I have the Chinese cracked version of Toyota Techstream
can you show or tell us what resets you did on the diagnostic side? I have the same issue it keeps failing
Did you replace smart box or what did you do? Need more info
I appreciate your response, yes og was corroded and replaced transmission module and power management module it will accept the apb112 it turns ignition on but security keeps flashing and resetting the smart box fails @@SpartanAutoworx
Hey, did you sync the steering lock before backing up data and generating key or do you generate the key first, turn on the car, then sync?
You should not have to sync the steering lock. You will need to sync the ID code box.
@@SpartanAutoworx And that's done with the 608? Diagnostic side?
Sterring lock?? It is working??
It’s not a steering lock.
Can't you reprogram it back in?
Yes you can program it back in.
May I have your contact?
