I have the exact same knife. But I put a Civivi CNC titanium pocket clip on it. Way better looking than the cheap stamped clip they send factory. I'm not really happy with the action on it, so I'm installing Skiff bearings. I'm hoping it'll smooth the action out. Thanks for the vid, so I'll at least know what I'm getting myself in to. Take care man!!!!!
Glad it was helpful 👍
Nice knife and thanks for a clear explanation.
Just so you’re aware, you said ‘I recommend’ about 20 times in the first 10mins 😉
I recommend you subscribe and tune in to see how many more times I say recommend 🤣💙
Excellent video! Just bought one. Thanks.
Glad it helped!
@jd4edc it's always good to see how the knife is built before you buy it.
Super video, really. Thanks for sharing !
Thanks 🙏
Thanks for the maintenance tips on the civivi altus. I just got mine & the button lock was sticking even jamming. I follow your advice & it's working a lot better now 👍.
That’s awesome 👏
Same here. The wood swells slightly when the moisture is high, and they didn't give it enough room since they probably used the same machining as the aluminium and g10 scales.
Hi! I’ve got the same version as yours and in black g10. It’s super cool knife. Thank you for this video - very good instruction for disassembly. Cheers!
Thanks 🙏
Good morning JD . Perfect timing. I seen the hoto p1 was $16 on Amazon the other day . I picked up a red one and they are decent but there’s only one t6 t8 so I emailed them and they don’t have extra bits but it is nice being all magnetic . Just got one yesterday and I liked it instantly so it s decent imo. Did your button stick lessen or disappear ? It seems to be getting better
Nice score man 👊 absolutely got smoother but never completely went away.
To tell you the truth, I like a little stick and that tactile response when I disengage it now. It is like muscle memory for the timing when I fidget. I hear the click and release the button and bam it is locked closed 😆
@@jd4edc right on . I ordered that boos blade smoke 2 from blade hq for $100 . Good knife or ok ?
Nice blade.
I like that hoppes bottle, did you buy it in that size.
Can you buy large replacement bottles and fill it?
I didn't see a link for it in your description, which is why I ask.
THanks for showcasing them.

Sorry brother, I need to add that I am so used to everyone having their own favorite oils 😁
Thanks, very informative 😊
My button spring is like 8 pound to action … and get always stuck 😖
Any advice please ?
Is it possible to switch with a lighter spring ? …
Starting with some basic stuff. Loosen the standoff bolts, and the pivot. Squeeze the scales together and then tighten the pivot and then the stand offs reverse of how you loosened.
If that doesn’t work, disassemble and make sure the button and sleeve for the plunge lock are completely dry.
After that try to polish the button slightly. Don’t go too far because that with create lock rock.
Last thing, snip off a very small section of spring but I’d do that last.
@@jd4edc thanks for advice 👍🏻 ; I will translate all that ( French 😊 ) and start some action then !
I ordered a milled clip for mine and I carried it today, it's one of my favorite Civivi! ✌️💛🥷
I saw those, I had a reason for the Banter clip being in this one that’ll be in the channel soon as that projects done 🤫
