I know this video is 2 years old, but the the painting and the motivation behind it spoke volumes to me. It reminded me that God's grace is sufficient for us, and it's there in every detail of our lives. That He has gone into our future and paved the way for us to walk, so we have absolutely no reason to fear! Thank you for this wonderful video Shawn!❣️❤️

I began doing abstract texture work in '92 (I am really old 😉) A few years ago I started fluid acrylic pouring. I have been stuck and know I HAVE to go back to that. Went back to favorites (Roxer, Beckley, etc) But this piece JUMPED at me. Not to preach but...there are reasons for everything God puts in our path. I just gave him my gratitude for leading me to you. Then he lead me to one inspired by "The Truth of Now" I hope you know He is using you for more than art. 🙏 for you. I know I probably sound crazy.
Today is my husbands 50th birthday. He drives over the road and is only home 4 days a month. Until this month. His fave holiday is Halloween. Since it is so close to election day, he requested those days off. However, circumstances have us alone together. I am so weak I cannot bake him a cake. This painting speaks volumes to me. We have both been essential workers but this wave got us good. It is hard to see the gold when it all looks black. Bit I love it and it brings me joy!

Shawn this piece is just stunning! I have mentioned recently that I see your style evolving into something new, I think it is coming from your courage to share your faith. Before you even began your comments at the end, I thought it looked like all the components were being knit together by your delicate, beautiful linear tracings. When you were speaking at the end, sharing your beautiful vision and words, I was thinking about that magenta and turquoise, like gems, and if you were looking up from there, you would see the gold, the Glory! Can you explain how you made the mix in the thin liner tool - what percent paint to airbrush medium? Dotting that on is the perfect finishing touch and I want to try it!
Thank you! And depending on how thick you paint is how much medium you will add. I usually start with 1/4 paint and add 1/4 medium hake it alot to mix and tgen try. If its too watery add more paint. If its too thick add more medium. And i add with just drps of paint or medium intil its the right consistency. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

Shawn, what do you use to seal your finished pieces?
Shawn, I have been wondering what you use to hang the MDF artwork. The one I am working on is pretty big and someone suggested French Cleat mounting hardware. I was afraid the wood was too soft for screws and wire. Can you please let me know what you suggest.
I cut my own wood and router in the back a keyhole for hanging and when its larger I have three keyholes for hanging. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
