Si vous venez voir les cathédrales vous serez le bienvenu. Même nous Français, nous apprenons toujours tellement l'histoire est riche et complexe. Je vous conseille de venir à partir de 2025. Notre belle cathédrale "Notre Dame de Paris" ouvrira enfin ses portes au mois de décembre 2024. Les travaux sont bientôt terminés après l'énorme incendie. Merci pour vos belles réactions sur ces monuments.

I see that you are very interested in French Gothic monuments. As a Frenchman, I am very flattered... know that there are 5 royal holy chapels, including the one in Paris and 5 or 6 others, non-royal, in France. The first was built in 1239 in Saint Germain en Laye (the one in Paris in 1248). A very beautiful one can be visited in Saint-Germer-de-Fly, in the Oise department in Picardy (a province in the north of France, one of the cradles of Gothic architecture). I'll let you look for yourself!
