LA was awesome back in the 70s. I lived in Hollywood below the sign and we rented a 2 bedroom for $300 a month. This show is why I became a CHP Officer in ‘98. 6 months at the Academy in Sacramento. One of the most hellish experiences I ever had and the proudest. A different, and in many ways, better time for LA and California.
My hot Charles Angels was Tanya Roberts I love her eyes and her female pose ..to bad her husband passed. She still looks great at her age. .Cheryl Ladd is my next honey. She too looks great at her age.
Man, shows used to be so cool, Chips, Miami Vice, Hawaii 5-0, Knight Rider, Six Million Dollar Man, Wonder Woman, Dukes of Hazard... Take me back to the 80s!
Takes me way back.....Great feeling.....I was in Infant school at the time this was aired ...it was my favourite shows. ...my best friend and I used to act this out on our BMX bikes....Brilliant
As a child then a teenager I love CHiPs series very much because we don't have those huge highway in our country those days.I just can imagine of me riding bike on those highways. Now at 55,I am still a biker and thankfully we do have huge highway these days.
Absolutely love this music. Memories of good times as a little kid. And it's all authentic disco hustle; no sequencers or samplers - real strings and funky bass/guitar - beautiful.
This music in my ears and in my feelings since 1992-94 used to watch in Pakistan. I was 10 -12 years old that time. I used to wait whole week for “chips”
Greetings from Indonesia. Living then in small village not shown on the map, I couldn't miss every episode of this show on my family's first black and white tv set. I had this fondness of especially handsome young Eric Estrada. Later our comedy actors parodied this show in their movie dubbed the same 'Chips' they made stand for 'Cara Hebat Ikut Penanggulangan Masalah Sosial' (Literally 'Great Ways of Handling Social Problems'). I liked them both
I totally agree. I miss not only shows like this but the whole feel of the world. There was positivity and optimism. You felt safe and there was more defined right and wrong. Now everything is grey.
How beautiful time it was. How all kids gathered in my uncle home in back early 80s to watch this movie. On the day it was to be telecasted, the street remain deserted and no single kid could be seen in the streets of our village.
I Remember Running Out of Night School at Home to Watch Chips on Thursday Nights at 8:00pm Pacific on NBCSee Us NBCSee Us on 1977-1978. Those Were The Wonder Years For Me.
Thanks for your service to this country Larry Wilcox. Those of you who wonder what I am talking about he's a former U.S. Marine and fought during the Tet Offensive during the Vietnam War
Been in LOVE with California since I was a kid in the 70s and was OBSESSED with CHiPs. I was single digits when this show first came on in the 70s. Was a childhood dream to be a CHP motorcycle cop. Pushing 50 now. Been all over the world (seen every continent) in the years since, in a different uniform. But, sadly, never been west of the Mississippi here at "home". LOVE the idea of L.A. and sure I would absolutely LOVE living there. Maybe when I'm an actual old man. Talk to me Cali folk. If a genie came to see me one wish would be to be an Angelino, I'm sure. That song 'I love L.A.' is a favorite of mine!!
This show is the reason I fell in love with riding motorcycles. I was 6 years old in 1980 and started watching and said to myself that one day I would be come a motorcycle police officer or just ride motorcycles, well I didn't become an officer but I do ride.
It's Long Time ago...th80'...am remember this film. I love this until ' the Silent, starsky and Hutch, the bionic women , the BJ and the Bear, wow...amazing..👍
I remember watching CHiPs when i was a kid while my brother and i laying on the living room floor playing with our A- Team figures and Gi Joes and He-Man toys mixed in together..
I can still remember watching the show in 1982. Perhaps it had been aired since 1981 or even earlier. Only two tv channels available during those days. When a teacher mentioned this show in a classroom in 1983, my 9 year old mind responded: "what? He's still watching that OLD show? Lame.."

Came to this Amazing Country almost 40 years ago, and I used to work in California where there was always work, companies were looking for people to work. The Traffic was so nice. I fell in love with California, as the companny moved me to another State, I went back a couple of years later and I could not beleive it. California used to be The Golden State.
