Loved the tutorial! However I'm a bit confused on how to add stuff as the hands you have shown here. Do we add it to the existing avatar and assign the transition to it?
This is the weird thing I'm dealing with here on OBS. I'm trying to put my avatar on veadotube here on the screen and it worked before until I started setting everything up just as The Video Nerd said on his OBS 2021 video. I set him as a game capture and told the program to capture veadotube mini specifically but it doesn't want to show him on the screen again.
This really helps out a lot! Thank you so much for providing this information. I'm gonna be testing out a character model soon and this definitely helped out. I do have a question about the animation that you have with the controller hands that you have with your model... and would like to know how to establish that? I want to do that with a drawing tablet so that I can make my character look like they are drawing... but I am not sure how to do that exactly. What are some tips or suggestions that you have for this type of set up?
hey there! my hands are very simple and just use an additional instance on veadotube mini, but there is a program that does what you're looking for check out the "spud tablet": sadwhale-studios.itch.io/spud-tablet
ah ok, two things... my controller hands are just another instance of veadotube mini running (so there is one window for me, and one for my hands) however, there's a better solution for you here: sadwhale-studios.itch.io/spud-tablet this will track your movement on your tablet and show you drawing! there's a detailed explanation on how to run at the link. i've never used it but it should be fairly simple best of luck!
@@giddygrace2381 you can use any image you like for veadotube, so you could set it up to have a guitar strumming or something similar (though it would be very simple) if you mean something like the spud controller program that shows specific finger movements, i don't know of anything like that hope that helps!
HELLO! is it possible to do switches from different sources in obs while also making your avatar siwtch from a different pose/expression from veadotube like from chatting with the chatbox on screen then switching to gaming with a different avatar from the same veadotube location?
yes! to change location based on the activity you're doing, simply create one new scene for each activity. then you can move your nested vtuber to the position you want in each. this will show when you transition (so you could have a chatting and a gaming scene each with your vtuber in a different spot, for example) to change pose / expression based on the scene, set the same hotkey to switch to the scene as you have to switch to the appropriate expression hope this helps!
depends on how you want it to move. for smaller movements i would use an animated gif. for larger ones you may need to consider live2D animations (which can loop dynamically) or something similar. if you just want it to sway / shake, veadotube has some options for that
@@NathcoolAnimates if other game captures also aren't working, i'm not sure what to suggest if you're on obs 28 make sure both veadotube and obs are run as administrator. otherwise you may need more assistance than i can provide
When you first used the program, did your PC try to stop you from using it. I got it from the site... but Windows is telling me that it may be a virus? Just curious. I get scared of new programs, lol.
this may happen because it's an executable file that isn't recognized right away by windows. if you download it directly from itch.io i wouldn't expect any problem - it's small program built in unity. if you're concerned i would recommend running the file you downloaded through an anti-virus scan. windows should have this ability built in - try searching your start menu for "windows security". it's very simple to do and will identify anything strange!
@@MrsMothmom it's probably my windows settings. Cause I downloaded it from the link you provided. Also in their FAQ, I see that it is an issue that can happen. Thanks for getting back to me.
like the cafe background? i can help a little bit this background is a youtube video. i brought it in as a browser source and played it. i would not recommend that for streaming, however. for that i would prepare a video (make sure you have permission to use the video on stream) and bring it into obs as a media source you could also use an image and bring it in as an image source start by looking for some obs basics videos. they should be a big help!
hmm... this is a tough one. to be totally honest i'm not sure. i would try the obs support forums - sounds like a problem with the streaming program rather than with the pngtubing software.
Awesome tutorial! I did want to ask how'd you get the shader option? I got lost at the beginning of the obs tutorial because that shader option doesn't appear i just dowloaded obs so idk if i have to have it in a certain settings lol
for the shading, you need to download a plugin called shaderfilter: obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-shaderfilter.775/ using that plugin you can mirror your game capture and duplicate it on top of your pngtuber if you find my explanation of the shading specifically a bit rushed or hard to follow, i highly recommend checking out the original tutorial here (it's much more detailed): twitter.com/Virtual_Graves/status/1434154401707397120 i hope that's helpful!

Idk why I can move the mouth in veadotube. Like a week ago i saw that the microphone was active but now it doesn't work
