EZ man, i dunno about in this instance but in general if you have renoise in edit mode and playing, and press and hold the right mouse button on a knob or fader whilst tweaking it, itl put the automation down in real time on whatever channel you are in. Big ups
one thing i love about these videos... even though they are essentially a tutorial, bizzy makes it feel more like your mate is showing you something rather than a regimented tutorial with no life in it
Everyone and their dog is talking about Amigo, but I don't remember this kind of hype about TAL Sampler. There's a ton you can do with it, sounds wicked and deserves some more love. Everything's already been said about Amigo by other UA-camrs so I have to say big up Bizzy for giving some exposure to TAL as well, they've made some incredible plugins. What I appreciate is the low-key marketing, they keep it humble and the products speak for themselves.
from amigo here just wanted to chime in, we love TAL sampler too and it deserves all the love :) they both have their place in a project and as far as low key marketing goes, we only dropped a single vid people have just been going mad with it ! it's not like we are the ones doing that or even have control over the public right 😅 all love
Not sure why people think Amigo is so great. Don't get me wrong, it does what it does well and I think it is fine, but TAL is a real sampler and offers much more than Amigo. Thanks for the TAL video!
TAL isn't really any more convenient than an Akai S series sampler, both work with a DAW, it's also becoming more and more complicated. Amigo is actually more convenient than using an Amiga it's also way more to the point and usser friendly. TAL doesn't even try replicate the 950 which is the one people really want. TAL missed the mark tbh, it was only good because it was better than the competition at the time, which wasn't exactly difficult.
To quickly time a sample up you can just use BEATSYNC and it pitches the sample up or down to match the song tempo. Saves adjusting the semitones/fine tuning.
Big up Bizzy. I have been using Kontakt for years but recently been playing with TAL. Personally, I find it easy to use and can program breaks quickly. Definitely also worth checking out the free bits from TAL
Ayyy bizzy just bought some of ur packs, gr8 sounds. Also picked me up an EMU 6400 ultra so i have been digging ur sampler content!!! You truly are thee resource! Keep at it & big ups!!! Peace!
There's SO MANY cool and deep featured sampling and midi production tools out there to build your tracks with. We're better off just picking a set up and sticking with it. It's far more condusive to actually making music if you know how to use 1 or 2 things really well, than it is trying to learn the ins and outs of unfamiliar gear all the time. They all have thier own benefits and drawbacks, but i personally found i was more creative and productive when i had the narrower limitations of hardware. There were definitely times when getting hung up on a problem was painfull and slow, but I 100% believe that having to do all of that problem solving helped keep me thinking creatively. And i feel like i get bogged down more often now that i have more options, as opposed before when there were a lot less options. Some things are definitely easier, but as a whole i get hung up more often these days and the end result doesnt feel as nice. Tho a lot if that comes down computer problem solving...admittedly.
I’ve been swearing by TAL Sampler for a year or two now. I use Ableton and had to re-chop all my breaks into TAL, which was laborious, but totally worth it. Best of both worlds and $60 is nice.
I love tal-sampler and use it often. But this week the hype is all about the AMIGO plugin by Stekker and team. Not as full featured as tal-sampler, but with a better time stretch and pretty damn accurate amiga DAC sound.
Bizzy have you checked out the new Amigo vst by potenzadsp? I immediately thought of you when watching a vid on it! Apologies if you already made a vid on it, i had a quick skim but couldn't see anything. 👍🙌
I'm a beta tester for TAL. fun TAL-sampler tip... put it in the "Emu II" mode and make the hiss parameter "0.44" and it gives you a bit of an Akai s900/s950 vibe. especially with the "bw 6p" filter
@@0e0 Roland-S series would definitely be an interesting example for modelling but I was thinking of nice sounding Korg DSS or Casio FZ samplers or EMU Emax and Ensoniq Mirage for unusual pitchshifting techniques
Feel sorry for Bizz dropping this the week the competition to this software came out (Amigo). Bizz is a good sport though an he jumped rite into Amigo the next day on insta. Legend.
@@TheBizzyBScience it's funny, all this fuss about the amigo vst. I get it, i do. Back in the day I was using two Zoom 1201's to desperately try and make my amiga not sound like an amiga. 😏😒
@@ASH-ou4cg ah nice one! How much are they going for? The auto eq was a good one straight out the back of the a500. But yeah, get that 1201 vocoder on the beats, it's special. The ring mod is pure funk too.
About "TAL-Sampler". Domz and VJGreen uses it, they may share some knowledge here as well. For me personally i use "TAL-Drums", its way enough for my Drumloops and skills.
Hey Bizzy, any reason why you don't use the beatsync option in the sample properties when trying to finetune the sample to the bpm? Nothing wrong with using the metronome and your ears, but this saves time. Just set the right amount of pattern lines the sample should fit too and toggle the beatsync on. Now if you press the little T icon after having enabled beatsync, the finetune and transpose settings will update to correspond to the tempo. If you now disable the beatsync, you use the keyboard to transpose the pitch if necessary.
Thats a good question man, In theory I am not to keen on the feel of the beat matched sample, it sort of sound a little to synthetic for me, its hard to describe, but your right , it is a way to go
