Expunged is made of MS Paint. It’s an art tool that lets you make 3D and 2D art. Clash those two together and you have this boy. Boyfriend is a 2D being and although 3D beings can see in 3 dimensions BF who is 2D can’t. He’s stuck as a flat animation that Expunged could just knock him over (if that’s even possible).

I once had an idea similar to this, only the gui would also be part of the level and when the camera angle shifts it would be harder to see your own notes (something similar to vib ribbon)

So in retrospect Expunged isn’t seeing BF at all. He just see a line. The reason Expunged and 3D beings are so powerful is because to BF (which is 2nd) 2 dimensional beings aren’t supposed to see 3D beings, hints why WE can’t see 4D beings. So they ARE pretty and literally reality bending in the world of FNF where everything is 2D.
