I REALLY appreciate including Lapis, Peridot, and even JASPER here, going as far as having the same amount of focus as the rest of the Crystal Gems. Everyone's interactions here felt genuine to their characters in the show. I wish we could've gotten more of them in the original show's run back in the day, even with SU Future.
True, the way they included Jasper in this felt really accurate to how they'd behave with the Crystal Games in the show, we got a few "Half-friendly" interactions with them in SU Future but if she officially joined the team this is exactly how I'd imagine it going XD

agreed. and i love the details that were specific to the characters. there's so many good ones, too many to list, but ones that struck me were:
* Garnet
- says "it's time to form obsidian" for the portal
- Ruby and Sapphire unfuse for a flower field
- more
* Amethyst
- creepers don't like it when she shapeshifts into a cat
- hugs the amethyst geode
- more
* Opal
- uses a bow, which makes total sense
* Pearl
- plays the game in a way that heavily speaks to her character
- uses the trident (which is the upgrade Bismuth gave her spear in SU, right?)

* Jasper
- says "my diamonds"
- more
* Bismuth
- uses the anvil
- makes a sword for Steven
- more
* Lapis
- doesn't function in the Nether
- is unamused by other Lapis Lazulis
- bends water

* Peridot
- bends metal
- the idea of her fighting an Iron Golem is accurate and this also relates to metal again
- likes redstone

- is Steve
I watched like 1 minute of this and I can already say with confidence that it was better than the actual Minecraft movie.

This is incredibly well done! It looks like it could actually be an official Steven Universe side-project! I’d watch this in a movie theater! What I won’t be watching (probably) is the Minecraft movie because of how bad it looks already… you could probably get the official Steven Universe voice actors to do some of the actual voices too with original voice lines and everything just for this series just like how Zach Callison voiced some original stuff for Steven’s Secret Rap Career! You could probably also get some of the animators too just like how they animated some original stuff for the “Steven’s Secret Rap Career” video

Here are some main changes that I noticed while comparing to the originals, and some small personal critics:
- The quality seems higher overall, appreciate it!
- I feel like some outlines look much better, while some were trimmed a bit too much in some scenes.
00:01 I prefer the original pose for Jasper, for some reason she looks strange here.
00:07 Jasper's voice sounds slightly muffled, but the background noise was successfully removed, so that's better.
0:17 I liked the tape recording sound better, there are enough Minecraft vibes around.
1:21 Her diamond symbol looks much better now.
1:37 I have no real preference between "All here?" and "Everyone here?", but I guess this phrase sounds a bit clearer on what she's saying. Also, Jasper's shape and size look better.
2:29 Steven looks MUCH better on this version, too bad the two lines on his pants are gone, but no big deal.
2:38 I miss the outline of the fingers, but this looks nicer!
2:41 I guess the shape of the puddle is more correct now considering the level of the blocks around it, but the original one felt more natural.
2:57 Steven and Pearl look much better!
3:05 The new lighting is nice touch! But it could start to appear a little closer to the portal, no big deal though.
3:26 Jasper is bit behind the team compared to the original, her lighting/coloring also changed, I prefer the original version, with her being closer to the team and her old coloring seemed more apropriate considering the portal.
5:55 Her audio either changed or got smoother, Idk, but it doesn't sound like she's launching Steven anymore.
6:17 The diamond looks slightly bigger.
8:50 Both soundtracks sound fitting for this scene, but I personally prefer the original one, and this soundtrack is little loud compared to the voices.
11:40 Lost oportunity to bubble Steven.
14:22 Steven is recolored, although I don't think it was necessary for this scene in particular.
15:01 It was originally "Time to fight the dragon", it did stutter a lot in the original, so I don't mind this change.
- There are other minor changes, but they weren't as worth talking about.
Anyway, this isn't serious, I just had a bunch of free time to analyse this, I love how this how project turned out, great job!
Glad these small changes were noticed! One of my main motivations for making this full movie edit was to fix a few small things that were bothering me.
The clip of Steven at 14:22 was also used at 2:56 and the reason for the change was the original clip it was taken from had quite dark lighting, which created a lot of visual noise when I adjusted the colours in my editing software. Same with the clip at 2:29, so I manually recoloured every single frame in my image editing software to match Steven's default colour palette and smooth out the lines.
this was absolutely amazing wth??? the amazing editing alone, but then the fact that not only was everyone in character, but the fact you utilized their powers so well alongside that! what a great watch :]

The calm and tranquil of Minecraft itself
And feeling the Nostalgia and Fun of all those older UA-cam edits where they put iconic cartoon characters in random places (I have no idea what it’s called but I loved those as a kid)
This was an awesome time to watch and man this is some awesome talent!
I just found this. It’s so fun, and the audio mixing for things like “Hey do you know where the Nether Fortress is” is so good!!
I'm almost angry how high quality this is haha. Seriously: HOW did you make the animation so flawless?? The level of detail was insane. I can't even imagine how much work this was to make, but it turned out SO cute! I know all the animations and most of the voice lines were reused, but it still felt like watching something entirely new. Fantastic job! ❤
