  • Nicole L. Miller, MD, FACS, Associate Professor of Urology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, discusses advances in laser lithotripsy techniques for breaking kidney stones. She explains how to select and efficiently use current laser technology and how to dial in the settings to reduce residual fragments, also noting the limitations of the Holmium Laser. Dr. Miller then reviews advances in laser treatment, including MOSES Technology and Thulium Fiber Laser (TFL).

    Thank you for the talk.
Why is nothing being said about safety to the surrounding tissue(s) and also about damage/injury to ureter during the insertion of all those insrumentations? (asking as a prospective patient) Thank you.
