I love your reviews and I absolutely love this computer. I have it as the combo with the pressure gauge as a backup to my Suunto D6i. They use the same USB cable, I have a backup computer which is piece of mind because I love deep dives, and because I love night dives I can just hit the pressure gauge on the combo with my light for an easy to read, long lasting glow of information. :-)
Thank you for the excellent description. Everytime I am preparing for a dive trip, I always refresh myself by watching this video. Continue the good work mate ! 😁👌
I just got this dive computer. It doesn't have a log on it after history and I'm trying to work out how to get all the information to fill in my log book for the day. Advice?
At 7:51 into the video - on that screen - if you hit the up button and it rotates thru the different information - what does the 0.3% O2 mean? Just making sure it's maintaining the 1.4 O2 pressure I set for Nitrox. Thank you!
Hello, thanks for the cool video, allows me to get around it before buying. I want to order it but I'm confused with the cable part. It is my first dive computer purchase and living in India, I have to be careful when buying from France or US (people coming delivering my orders). How can we use the Zoop without a cable? It's said it's optional but how can you charge it without the cable? Thanks a lot for your help!
Hey +guizmow17, the Zoop Novo cable is only for downloading information from and to the computer, the battery isn't rechargeable but easy to replace Safe Diving,
..one more thing, in your video, about alarms, it is not about daily alarm, it is about sound alarms related to events might occur during dive, like fast ascent, too deep, to shallow on deco and so on...
Ascent speed indicator is a small bar on the edge of the screen, barely visible, what were they thinking ? Besides, interface isnt user friendly at all, buttons are catastrophic. Sold it after 2 dives.
Hello, I'v bought my Suunto Zoop Novo Blue in Spain and I live in Brazil, the data cable didnt come with my Suunto. I'd like to know wich cable I should buy since I don't find anywhere a cable for Suunto Zoop Novo. Thank you.
Hey Guilherme Bovo Fernandez, the Zoop Novo uses the same USB cable as the Suunto D-Series (the small circular connection) that you can find here www.simplyscuba.com/products/Suunto/DiveManager-USB.aspx Safe Diving,
Hello i got some silly questions but it wont hurt to ask i guess :) 1. This has a back light function correct? it gets difficult to see the numbers and details deeper... 2. I know its not advisable but could you turn the - Auto Dive mode for this? i mean if after in between dives you'll just go swimming... Thanks for answers in advance!
Hey Margel Campaner, 1. Yes, the Zoop Novo has a backlight. 2. Yes you can turn the water activation off by selecting Off on the Mode selector Safe Diving,
+Jomzai, it's a pretty big dive computer for wearing every day; the face measures 66mm across and the main body is 26mm thick. If you're looking for watch sized dive computers take a look here bit.ly/1YuOUiZ
One silly (or not) question please, is it possible to switch between diving modes during actual dive, like, for example to switch from air to nitrox? Guess not, should get locked into one mode as it has no multi gas capabilities, but had to ask anyway as interests me really? Thanks and best regards!
Need help with the mode button. I can push it and nothing happens, except I get a sore thumb. How responsive is the mode button? I cannot change between the modes.
Nice tutorial. Thanks for your help. Just one quick question: if you set it for Air Diving mode does the computer automatically understand that you are using 21% O2 and 79% Nitrox? as the normal air mixture? Or should I set it on Nitrox Diving mode and then put 21% Nitrox? I'm a new Open Water Diviner and want to buy a Suunto but want to make sure that is easy to understand and to use. Thanks for your response :)
I have looked for an explanation of the white and red dots/dashes in the manual but cant find any? Can someone please explain? Also, I'd love to know where the info for the alarms (triangle with exclamation mark) are. I got one on my last dive, nothing happened out of the ordinary, followed procedure, so the alarm is a mystery. If I don't know what I did, I cant correct it.
Hi Huddie, the coloured dots either side relate to your ascent rate (on the right side) and the ones on the left are cosmetic on the Zoop Novo. The faster you ascend you'll get more bars on the screen next to the dots, explained on Pages 23-24 of your user manual. The triangle is an attention symbol to extend your surface interval, usually if you've ascended a bit too quick during a dive your computer is telling you to stay out of the water a bit longer than usual. Safe Diving,
Trop pénalisant lors de plongées successives (1 heure intervalle surface) avec des paliers de déco interminables. Je ne l'utilise plus que comme back-up de mon ordi Aqualung
Do we have to do anything to the zoop before we drop in the water ie (press any buttons to prepare it) or do we just drop in the water and the dive screen appears automatically?
I was wondering when downloading onto the computer is it the dm5 setup? Or is there an app? Or what is the case? Do you get a dive profile? When downloading? I also think a video on automatic diving logbook apps would be useful?
I bought this computer. I went on my first dive and I went about 50ft. I noticed the entire time the computer did not show a NDL timer. It just said "no deco". Everything else such as the depth, temp, Max depth, and dive time showed. The ascend bars work as well. I was just expecting the computer to show me a NDL timer but didn't get any
+Anthony Lock, apart from the obvious size difference they have pretty similar specs but the D4i does have wireless air integration over the Zoop. Safe Diving,
"Very nice and well made" you say?? Suunto Zoop Novo is the worst of the worst!!!🤢🤮😡 Its a designer disaster!! Not suitable for thin twig like wrists!! Entirely built for Giants!! If you dont get to read the manuals then its a terrible thing to play with!!! Not worthy to waste money on this!!😤😤😤😤😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬 If anyone in here believes this, heed my advice!! Don't ever buy it as a personal dive computer!!!

Thanks for the video! Could you show the functions while diving? It would be much more helpful as just showing functions on surface. Thanks again!
Agree, talking about it is fine but I really want to see it in action in situ

How do i turn off the divice ?
Or it turns off by itself
This is the computer I decided to get. I'm quite happy with it. Really user friendly interface.
Hallo, how can you turn off the computer?
Does it have a normal timer?

Will it tell me when I have to go back up when I am at 30 meters and I need to do safety stop and such?
I can't hear anything from this computer under water. Might be my hearing loss not the computer... 🤔

@@Euronasa I can't hear it either. I've got an older version, but I can't hear the beeps.
How do you change it from nitrox settings back to general settings?

Safe Diving,
The cable is for downloading the information of previous dives. The unit has a battery that powers it. When the battery is low you replace it.
@@simplyscuba Why didn't you use Bluetooth for data transfer instead of ripping people off on an $85 cable that cost you less than a dollar to make?
@@BillsSpamMail you do understand they didn't make the suunto zoop novo, right? suunto did.

Be sure to read simplyscuba review on my blog before you buy. Go to *bradleyreviews. com/simplyscuba-com-review/* Thanks. Fairfax.
Incorrect.... the ALARM function under General Settings is a daily alarm. What you are referring to is actually the TONES function.
whats the safety stop like
how do you set this to PC transfer?
You buy one with bluetooth communication.
Ascent speed indicator is a small bar on the edge of the screen, barely visible, what were they thinking ? Besides, interface isnt user friendly at all, buttons are catastrophic. Sold it after 2 dives.
Nice presentation. What's the vertical bar indicator on the left side of the readout. The right side vertical bar is for ascent rate. Thanks
Since they are exactly the same, except pointing in opposite directions, I would guess that the other side is the descent rate!

Once you dive on nitrox mode, it stays locked in nitrox mode. Of course, if you switch to air, all you have to do is change the O2 % to 21.
Very clear overview, thanks!
this is an extremely stupid question but how do you turn it off
Same for me, but it automatically turns off in 30 minutes
Same here..

I cannot change between the modes.
U just need to take off the glass cover. It helps..
What do i need to convert this wrist mount computer into a console alongside the suunto sm-36 pressure gauge?

If you are going to do any nitrox diving, set the computer for nitrox and set the O2% at 21.
Can you tell me where to get the torque screwdriver
Hey rtm12252, try searching online or your local hardware store for Torx screwdrivers. The Zoop Novo should need a T6 size driver
Safe Diving,
Thanks
Very good presentation. I would like to see some more details but overall it was a good presentation. Keep up the good job!
I've just got this computer and I can't understand how to wear it without having the very long strap in the way
I've seen some people wear wrist computers on their forearms rather than wrists and I think that will take care of some of the slack.
Meant to be long to go around your wrist when you have a wetsuit on.
Cut it. I wear a 7mil over a rash guard. I am normal sized. The strap was at least 3 inches over. And by over, I mean over the face of the computer.

Mo S you weren’t deep enough. It’s doesn’t give a no deco time until you at a deep enough( I don’t recall the exact depth) depth.
I think it's at 60 ft
