The soldiers riding them are the groomers. My Ex used to say the horses must always come first. Just watching this makes me so proud to be British. God bless our Queen. 🇬🇧
Not only do they groom their own horses but they clean all their own kit too, apart from senior NCO’s who usually can get theirs done but my husband always did his own kit, never trusted anyone else lol.
The pomp and circumstance, the continuity of a monarch above the divisiveness of politics and inevitable changes in social norms, is inspiring. Here in the United States, it is not just the celebrating the Queen's platinum jubilee, it is the endurance of peoples through ten centuries of wars, plagues, religious upheavals, revolutions, and continuing to evolve through it all. My country, the US, is a young country, greatly troubled as many countries are, yet many of us admire the the monarch and the institutions that represent the history and the endurance to go forward, that is what the pomp and circumstance means to much of the watching world.
Yeah, your right...and more people on earth serve Satan and ignore God, his teachings, laws & commands. There's a poverty war going on all over the world. The Brits are suffering badly, closed businesses, no money for food, rent/mortgage, utilities, clothing, supplies, yet the monarchy is still pretending in fairytales, illusions & traditions rather than put those millions into their citizens. How much did ONE day cost of flags going up then coming down, barricades, going up then down, horses, decorations, riders, uniforms, instruments, wagons, canons, carriages, riders, drivers, vehicles, police force, bodyguards, thousands of slaughtered female bears to use their precious fur to cover the brainless skulls of the Brits? A cake and candles works just fine...for someone who doesn't even attend the parade.
thank you. I am an old Englishwoman 🏴 who never ceases to be brought to tears when our pomp and circumstance is on display. It is so kind of you to appreciate what so many fail to recognise
But…it is not your Queen…you made that bed in 1776 now you have to lie in it. Also, Britain is older than a thousand years. There were people there planting the cultural seeds before Christ. Learn your facts before you start blubbering.
@@PetroicaRodinogaster264 What got up your craw?? That person was praising England's traditions and the Country's longevity. I suggest you re-read that message.
BRAVO - so impressive so majestic so magnificent! All those gorgeous horses!! All the wonderful musicians playing instruments and still able to ride their horse! Amazing! The most impressive are those horses with the DRUMS. Colonel Cambridge looked spectacular! God Bless the UK and GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!!
Thank you to our GREAT QUEEN and all the Royal family past and present for your service and l am from Canada and still today will stand on gaurd to protect them🇨🇦🇬🇧🇺🇲
I just love watching the trooping the colour. That’s one military parade that I will watch from start to finish. Those two drum horses are such beautiful animals 👍👍👍👍👍
Magnificent ! We need more celebrations in these times. William leading with great confidence and decorum. The people are obviously loving every minute. Those wonderful horses !
Thank you for this. A 👏👏👏 to the farriers, veterinarians, curriers and all the stable hands… and the clean up crew at the end for the horses. 👍👍👍 to the handlers in service w/the horses. How much “cleaning shoes” for those walking. 🤔
When everyone is marching in together in time a single crack as every single heel hits the road together can be heard, its very satisfying when you feel that total team work feeding back into your brain is heard. I haven't heard that for yonks.
I’ve never seen anything like this, I’m absolutely loving it, I hope it’s televised here in America. Just think, Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne for 70 years and we’re here watching history being made, I feel so privileged
It’s almost impossible to comprehend that we in the uk 🇬🇧 have had our glorious queen for almost a quarter of the _lifetime_ of America! Somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of the existence of your nation, it really does bring it home, both how long Her Majesty has reigned and just how brand new the USA is. I took my grandchildren to the actual jubilee celebrations, their first visit to London. What a wonderful three days, but it’s now Monday and I’m still exhausted and aching lol.
That’s horses for ya, they can be calm or very skittish. I think they are so beautiful but omg they are huge with giant teeth. I prefer them from a distance. 🤫😘
Great video, even showing the ‘liners’ , how they’re formed to return up the Mall. Loved this. The King’s Troop ,the Life Guards, Blues and Royals , the drum horses all looked terrific and of course the wonderful band with their very regal drum majors. Thank you, lovely to see.
It happens every June, Covid permitting. You really should make the effort to see it. I took my two grandchildren to see it this year, what with it being so monumental a celebration this year.
Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing - how I wish I could be there to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Magnificent troops, all participants ,and beautiful well disciplined horses - congratulations to everyone! God bless our beloved Queen and the RF! Team William - always.
Debbie Smith, yes you are correct those are Clydesdales, I use to leave in An area in Florida where they were bred and raised for our Budweiser parades. Really very impressive!
@@JulieWallis1963 what a very kind comment. Thank you. I simply love my country and its history ( others describe me as a mine of useless information! Cheek!)
Stunning horses and riders! It always amazes how the band can ride and play so well. How are they chosen! I hope that people who do not ride can appreciate how difficult it is to ride in formation.
can't wait to see it all on the telly or UA-cam me being here in Australia now 33 years but love the Royal Family got so much stuff from the op shops lol
What an absolutely great parade! Much more distinguished than „Парад Победы“ in Moscow on May, 9. Especially not that rude aggressive like the Russians.
Brings tears to the eyes so proud of our Ceremonys but, can anybody tell me why a lot of the horses keep tossing their heads, and then you see their tongues, I am thinking the bit is maybe uncomfortable???
Is there another country in the world who can put on a show like that, of course not, those horses are magnificent and I'm still singing Patrick McGinty and I'm English
Not a single comfortable-looking horse in this thing. Seen multiple lame horses and one (that i actually saw) had its whole tongue out trying to evade it’s bit. This is a gross display of horses in pain and any sane person can see that. This is truly horrific. Call me a karen, call whatever tf u want but i know what im seeing.
Great video!
The marches played were,
(Household Cavalry Mounted Band)
1) 4:00-Bravura
(Massed Bands)
2) 7:00-John Ryan's Polka
3) 7:25-Paddy McGinty's Goat
4) 8:44-McNamara's Band
Let all of us say a big thanks to all the grooms stable lads and lasses who prepared those horses for this parade, 'Thank you from all of us"
The people riding the horses groom and prepare them they get up very early in the morning!

It was great seeing all the horses, especially the ones with the drums on their backs. I think they were Clydesdales, but could be wrong.

You didn't film the parade going to horse guards ?

Why do some Police officers watch the soldiers when they should be observing the member of the public?
I worry about security too
The soldiers lining the route would kill anyone intent on harm .
Why don’t they have somebody removing the horse poop from the path of the marchers?
Why in the world do some of the finest troops in the world need to be guarded by police officers, she asked jokingly. Seriously, thank you for this.
Because it wouldnt be the first or second time troops had been attacked whilst out in public.

Shouldn't they clean the poop first.

Next time let the horses go last so the guards don’t have to step on horse poop.
