So I found this song a year or so ago and added it to my playlist bc I loved it so much. Had NO idea what it was about but just loved the melody and singing.
Fast forward to tonight, when my hubby and I decide to watch The Witcher. We get to the second episode and the bard starts singing strains of this song, and my eyes go wide. I’m yelling, “It’s that Rachel Hardy song!” and my poor hubby has no idea what I’m talking about. 🤣 I’m probably the only person in the world who found this cover first and the series much later on. 😄 The song makes more sense now, I will say that! 😋

I think her voice is utterly beautiful, but my one complaint is that there isn’t much emotion in her voice. The video, sure, but in the audio she sings about geralt of rivia being bested by the beast of with no more emotion than “when a humble bard.”

Actually no. It's about selling your voice. Not random they sign contract deals with label, label then does the marketing they then get rich. Not luck you have to sign your career away for a bit.

There was no Priscilla in the books. Essi Daven maybe, but she showed up in one of the short stories (one of my favourite ones), but the tv show skipped it unfortunately. I'm not sure if there's still room for this story cause of where we are on the show's storyline, but it's possible if they'll make a turn that I think they will. They can make a room for more short stories in second half of next season or in season 3. It depends on the pacing that they'll go for. I made it vague to avoid spoilers ;)

We can see there, more serious and responsible side of Jaskier or just better understand what is exactly mean being wicher. Ending of this story was heartbreaking in very Sapkowski way. I hope that netflix will show this short story in next sezon but i also scary that they will make it too shallow like story of Renfri. (Sory about my english, i hope that you can understand this) 💙

By far the best cover of this song and maybe as a cover per se. She just took the orginal song and sang it with her beautiful voice, no extra highs and lows, just a cover. This will be played years to come.

Some of these independent artists are lightyears beyond what is current popular music. The industry sells the same thing over and over, they don't care for talent. The only thing the music industry cares about is mumble rappers who pretend to be gangsters but in reality they are just drug addicted mugs, who are marketed toward young girls and then borderline naked semi-talented chicks who you would be scared of having sex with because there probably carrying an std or two.
