I don't think that's the case here. I'm a united fan and think for once he actually makes his point well. Bellingham next to Rice to get Foden in at ten could be the best way of fitting the most creative players into the team. Just because Bellingham is doing amazing for Madrid as a ten, doesn't mean it's the best option to play him there for England in a completely different system. David Alaba played left back for Bayern for years while running the midfield for Austria at the same time. It's about using the resources you have to get the best out of as many players as you can and create a functioning team. Even have Rice sitting and both Bellingham and Foden advancing like David Silva and KDB did for City previously. The options England have are limitless. As for Mainoo, he'll be involved for sure and his time will come to be one of the first names on the teamsheet, there's little doubt about that right now

Im a Welsh, Liverpool fan and Mainoo in my opinion must be a big part of the euros the way he played v Belgium with Rice and Bellingham remember if your good enough your old enough!
He is correct with his analysis of England's defensive issues but I disagree with Collymore's comment about playing Foden as a 10.
If he was a 10 that is where Pep would play him and to be honest Foden has been mostly underwhelming in an Egland shirt. We are back in the "How do you play Lampard & Gerrard together conundrum"

Foden has played as a 10 for City loads of times this season. He's had match winning performances from that position.

Bellingham is not a no.10...he is an 8. Foden is England's most creative player, he should definitely be played as the no.10
Bellingham has redefined that position at Madrid. Very few top teams now play with a typical David Silva-type number 10, we risk being overrun in the middle of the park with Foden at 10.

Before Kobbie Mainoo played for England they had predicted there will be a midfield three of Rice, Bellingham and Foden. It’s clear Mainoo needs to be in that midfield and Foden play further up. He’s link up with Bellingham and Foden was class.

England are no longer in the “developmental” phase. It’s about winning the Euros, meaning you play your most experienced seasoned players. Whether Maguire is a “weak link” or not, he’s better than Branthwaite. He should be looked for the World Cup qualifiers.

Am I living in an anterior universe where Maddison doesn’t exist? He barely gets mentioned he barely gets minutes but creates more in those few minutes compared to players given more minutes to create less. No Maddison no Bellingham goal
All the people saying how special Mainoo is....he looks great in midfield for Man Utd because he has so much work to do in there for one thing. For England, he had a couple of good moments and was very forward thinking which was great...is he above Bellingham, Rice, Foden, Maddison or Palmer for me? No! He should be blooded a little slower and I would prefer to see him deeper. We are still kinda easy to go through the middle, I don't think Rice is the perfect answer in CDM for me and I think ultimately Mainoo might be that player but we can't do that in the Euros.

Stan must have missed Mainoo’s change of direction between 2 central midfielders and then 25 yard run which led up to the penalty? Even more odd is that Mainoo is particularly good on the ball, can beat a man, or two as he’s shown and then pick a pass. He may be young and inexperienced but from what we’ve all seen to date, there is no refuting his ability and quality as a tier one football professional. He’s considerably more talented than Henderson, and I mean no respect as Henderson has won everything but he’s not on the same level.
Mainoo needs to start alongside Rice.

I think people need to calm down a little over mainoo, and just let him do his thing, because we've seen what hyping up young players up does to them in the long run. Ive been saying the same to my fellow Newcastle fans with lewis miley. Yes hes a great talent, and at 17 he looks like hes played premier league football for years, in fact, very similar to what gets said about mainoo, but if you give these youngsters too much too soon, they tend to burn out quicker than usual. Saying all that he definitely has to be on the plane, and collymore is a stupid idiot, im guessing he just hates mainoo because he plays for Manchester United.
