Mighty mouse has got to be the most unique fighter because he can simply do everything, conner can strike, but the moment khabib grappled him he got man handled. DJ faught mui tai and held his ground against an experienced mui tai fighter on his first time.

Some of the reasons mighty didn’t get the love he deserved is that he his run was right before MMAs massive explosion. Then when he started peaking was when Conor was peaking and McGregor’s shadow was so big it just covered Mighty Mouse. Ironically it was the Jorge knee that I see was the start of UFCs explosion, that then COVID, and had Mighty Mouse stayed he would’ve got the credit he deserved as the sport got more popular and the fans became more informed. Long time fight fan... My belief why the lighter weight classes don't do well is because its difficult to tell what is happening. Boxing especially, even at middleweight (canelo weight) exchanges can be difficult to understand. Heavyweights move slower and people can see whats happening for the most part. Its like when hockey is on and you cant tell where the puck is, it ruins the experience for the casual because you have no idea wahts happening.
Probably a definite factor. There may also be the factor that our shallow and often illogical society devalues shorter and smaller sized men. Often portrayed as "less than". That affects everything else in our society, because it colors how we perceive men in various different areas.
the unfortunate fact is dana’s main priority isn’t promoting the fighters or even the ufc it’s promoting himself.in his mind as long as he can stay in the headlines the ufc will always prosper and the fighters are collateral in that mindset.fortunately we got to see you prove him wrong 18 times and real ones will continue to watch and support no matter what.DJ u r who inspired me to train and will forever be recognized as a goat of mma
"without him (dana white) none of this would be possible" - one of the biggest reasons for the growth of mma that doesnt get recognition for it says this for a reason. dana white transcended a sport that everyone mocked and laughed at. people forget strikeforce was already started before UFC and pride started a few short years after ufc. strikeforce was ran by a complete moron, while pride was ran by people that didnt want to invest further into what they were calling a "waste of money" verbatim. nobody took this serious and dana had a vision. he risked millions to grow this sport simply because he fell in love with it. he will always be a pioneer, when he dies, you will leave a sorry ass twitter post about the time you met dana and how cool he was you dork. your comment is dumb on so many levels it hurts my brain. this sport is growing into a global thing and thats thanks to dana white. obviously as well as the fighters, but clearly if there was no Dana and it was scott coker (who ran strikeforce and bellator to the ground) there would most likely be no major MMA brand today
A reason he's such a good guy is because he never expresses uncontrolled anger, Nobody hates Dana or what stands for because he gave all the good fighters a great chance, its not all about money but respect and influence. And if it was im pretty sure we woundn't be able to comment because this channel wouldn't exist..

@@thepancakemann mine too, machida is boring to casuals that cant appreciate a counterstriker, and to those whole just want mma to be like animals.
Machida knocked out not one but TWO legendary fighters with a front kick to the face (Couture and Belfort), how anyone can call the guy boring with a straight face is beyond me
If you are boring = you don't make much money for the UFC = you will get treated poorly....UFC is all about money...and to make more money you need to be entertaining....UFC is about entertainment first and fighting second

DJ, you epitomize the potential of the modern day martial artist. The way you conducted yourself in and out of the octagon should be what mixed martial artists strive to achieve. In conjunction with the performances you gave, it's not even a question, you're the goat. It's been an honor just to witness your legacy.
Don't forget Frank Shamrock! He deeeefinitely should have been in the UFC HOF decades ago
1:39 thaat freezeframe of Bisping is hilarious
Mighty mouse has got to be the most unique fighter because he can simply do everything, conner can strike, but the moment khabib grappled him he got man handled. DJ faught mui tai and held his ground against an experienced mui tai fighter on his first time.
Real fans know DJ. Thanks for all your great fights and the incredible legacy you built you're loved and appreciated.
Here is the reality, Dana white never been in a cage fight in his life, anyone that's ever fought in the cage or stayed around long enough to either get their black belts in Jiujitsu or win some titles and kickboxing will tell you hands-down when it comes to mixed martial arts and maybe even some other sports johnson is the top dude that comes to my mind.
In order to understand mixed martial arts you have to have done it. Watching mighty mouse do mixed martial arts I would aspire to be. Nobody has ever showed the skill set he has in an all-around capacity
Hes the best and everyone knows it
Dana selling wolf tickets.
It's woof, not wolf
Why woof , was thinking about this the other day
Haha haven't heard that in awhile 😜. Selling those wolf tickets like nothing.
@@ndheadstrong2432no it isn’t 😅
@paulypaulsonit’s WOLF as in, the animal that howls at the moon
GOAT! 💪🏾💪🏾 Thanks for sharing your version of things for all the current and upcoming fighters.
DJ - you were one of the most exciting fighters on UFC. Its sad I found you after your run was over, but I watched them all. You are a true champion and sport and a good example for new fighters.
You're the man DJ and you're actually just an absolute inspiration in this world. I haven't watched a vid of yours for a while but i have to say that I'm thankful and blessed to know that there are people like you in this world today.
All the best to you and your family bro, you keep being you 💯🙏🙌❤️
DJ I'd like to say something. There are a LOT of people in this game who are genuinely effed up, and let's be honest, to fight and do what you do, you have to have a few screws lose...(I fight too, and lord knows I do) The way that you take care of your family, is inspiring and people should take a few notes from how you behave in general. You are a GOOD MAN. I watch your videos all the time, and not ONLY do you care about your fans, you care about society and people in general. You are an amazing man, and you have made a great example for not just young men, but all men. (which we sorely lack in today's society) You are an AMAZING fighter. You are NOT erased from Dana White. There is no fighter on this planet who knows what they are talking about that wouldn't put you up there with the very best to ever do this. Keep going my brother. You are a shining light for mankind DJ.
Honestly you’re an inspiration DJ. Never kicked up a fuss about the UFC situation and now reaping the rewards of your labour!
DJ sitting there listening to GSP and woodley talk about how great he is like “damn right”
Real fans know what's what. Definitely GOAT
DJ's mindset and positivity is legendary. The true GOAT.
Trading you for Askren was just disgusting.
Brilliant for DJ.
No. Ben made Jorge masvidal a super star. Jorge masvidal made the ufc millions
@@BigFishLittleLake you're right about Jorge Masvidal, but I still think DJ was much more entertaining and skillful than both Ben and Jorge.
@@truckarkhanjo oh 100%. Wasn’t trying to say might mouse isn’t good
@@BigFishLittleLakeFunny how you ufc fanboys try defending dana white (Mr krabs) trading out the goat for some scrub to become a highlight reel because there was more money made that you peasants didnt see a cent of 😂😂
Some of the reasons mighty didn’t get the love he deserved is that he his run was right before MMAs massive explosion. Oh well, it worked out for him and history will remember him fondly in this ethos among the greatest ever.
the fact they traded you for askren and you’re still humble enough to give him props despite the outcome of everything just shows the true greatness of your character, mad respect to you DJ
Conner being p4p is so laughable!
Conor would beat DJ senseless
@@checksoverstripes2498Usman would beat Conor senseless too....
But Conor won't be able to beat DJ senseless though....
@@checksoverstripes2498 Kamaru Usman can take Conor down at will and beat him senseless on the ground. But Conor can't do that to DJ. He will have to stand and strike with DJ which ain't gonna be easy as DJ has better striking than Conor. Ofcourse! Conor can k.o. DJ but first it has to land clean which may likely not happen as DJ is too fast for Conor & will mix things up.....

You were my favourite fighter to watch man, so technical and yeah you were so fun to watch
4:30 dude this move blows my mind still today, seriously incredible, hat tipped sir, respect
Him saying conor is the best pound for pound fighter in the world is nuts. Tough decision between you and Jon
He knows the mainstream causal would love that, remember most causals don’t even know DJ..
Mighty Mouse is one of the GOATS, even haters can't deny the fact.
We love you DJ
OG fans know
You're the best, love the work on UA-cam and outside
I think your more loved now since you left ufc tbh. And your pod is 🔥
Mighty Mouse record will never be broken
I basically never like comments, but the fact that DJ stops his review to tell people to like the creator... both you boys get a like. Good shit bro.
Dana White privilege is a real thing. Can't stop Dj from being the greatest.
Obviously it is.
the unfortunate fact is dana’s main priority isn’t promoting the fighters or even the ufc it’s promoting himself.in his mind as long as he can stay in the headlines the ufc will always prosper and the fighters are collateral in that mindset.fortunately we got to see you prove him wrong 18 times and real ones will continue to watch and support no matter what.DJ u r who inspired me to train and will forever be recognized as a goat of mma
That’s basically the first time I saw DJ pissed of
mighty you are wise man
The way DJ has solidified himself in the sport, when he talks so highly of himself you cant even say he's arrogant. He's just the best, period. 🤘
Always keep in mind, Dana's dying and in 4 years the world will have forgotten him.
You're going down in history as a legend.
Wait what
Dumbest take ever
Lol glazer
A reason he's such a good guy is because he never expresses uncontrolled anger, Nobody hates Dana or what stands for because he gave all the good fighters a great chance, its not all about money but respect and influence. And if it was im pretty sure we woundn't be able to comment because this channel wouldn't exist..
