My friends son didn’t walk until 16 months because he go so used to being held that he refused to even try to stand.
My daughter walked at exactly 14l5 months! Every baby works at their own pace and every skill evens out with their peers eventually.
What happens if she loves to crawl hold things to stand up and pull herself up love standing up with support but refuse to walk on her own she’s 16 months now

Thanks for sharing your story. OT here too and my daughter is 14.5 months and still not walking. She took independent steps two weeks ago and since then hasn’t. Really close to getting a PT eval but giving her a few more weeks
She’s a hitch crawler so very asymmetrical since she started crawling. She still hitch crawls 60% of the time

I had twins. My son walked at 15 months and my daughter not until 19 months! The pediatrician referred us to physical therapy at 18 months and then she decided to start a month later. I was worried but she is a totally normal ballet loving 4 year old. 🥰 I have no idea why she wasn’t that motivated to walk as we don’t have a family history of late walkers. She didn’t crawl until 12 months either.
Love this! These are our beautiful “outliers”. Reminding parents that 99% of the time their kiddo will be more than fine, is so important. Thank you for sharing!! 🤍
This comment alone is so relieving to me.. my son is turning 18 months soon and he’s been in physical therapy since 12 months.. still not walking. Of course I get the pressure from everyone!! Sometimes I get embarrassed in his gym class because he’s the only one that doesn’t walk but I honestly feel deep down he’s just taking his time

Exactly the same. My son is turning 14 months in 2 days and still not walking. He stands up really quickly holding onto things and gives a few steps alone before going back to crawling mode

Hi, I have my grandson he start walking when he was 12 months and was walking till the age of two. He just turned three yesterday at oddest suddenly two weeks ago he stop walking out of nowhere but he could move his legs and his foot but when I stand him up, he falls, he can only walk with one leg he hops With one leg or he drags himself on the floor what’s weird is he can go up the stairs but like crawling is that normal? Will he ever walk again? I took him to the hospital and they said it was nothing but I don’t see it, Norma. He also doesn’t want to leave his pacifier. He goes crazy if you take it away from him and he does not want to get potty trained, but he could talk. I don’t know what to do.
May baby turns 17months this July 22 but he can't walk on her own
