Now I wonder if the fact that Iori's valentine chocolate item actually looks like a can of shoe polish is actually another nod toward the whole feet scene lol.
The Black Suit scene, I really prefer the in game version. You can see in the anime that Sensei is getting emotional, while in the game it feels like he's 100% in control of the conversation. I appreciate the delivery by the VA, but I have the image of Sense actually being very flat (?) and to the point at this scene, like he knows that Black Suit is beneath him or something. Maybe because texts don't actually convey emotion well and my brain is just filling in the gaps.
Also they didn't bring up the credit card for some reason.
And I wonder if "mimicry" is a mistranslation here. I swear I hear "mimesis", which is actually a thing in Volume 3.
Reminder that the subs for this one is dogshit and that the proper english sub is in like ep 4 still, so take whatever is said in the mtl sub with a grain of salt.
For now I feel that they don't want to give the impression of whaling or don't know how to introduce the credit card in serious situations.
Not sure how they are going to adapt it for two scenes later on if they do reach those specific chapters. Won't mention it here to minimize spoilers for newcomers to BA.
@@Kryptora Yeah, probably they cut it out since that doesn't come into effect until Volume 3, and they just don't want to leave a plot device hanging in case they weren't getting another seasons to explain it fully.
Still, it takes away some of Sensei's selflessness. He's willing to risk a lot more according to Black Suit by using that card, while in the anime it seems like he's only throwing away his pride by nomming Iori's toes.
@@datlynn781 With the way they're dropping Easter Eggs for Vol 2 and 3 with Midori and Momoi as well as Koharu, Hanako, and Asuza making cameos, they're likely at least in discussion for more seasons.
The adult card will be very hard to portray in anime form because why in-game it involves using the player's own roster, it's more of a meta reference to the nature of gacha gaming and I sure don't think it'd do well to have Sensei just summon "clones" or "copies" to fight. I'd have to figure that Sensei would be physically involved in combat when using it, but idk to what extent considering he's just a normal human being without it.
@@Ryuseishun considering how it comes into play with the final battles of Eden Treaty and Volume F, I'm curious how they are going to adapt those parts. But considering how they didn't introduce it with this first encounter with Black Suit, they may just omit it altogether with an original concept.
