A diesel/petrol car can go literally go anywhere but that's not the case with electric vehicles . Trip planning with an electric car is very different as compared to normal Engine cars . Pre-planned details of the trip should be ready , you should be having good knowledge about the RANGE of the vehicle , where are the charging stations etc . So just to plan another drip to the mountains i took my TATA TIAGO EV to Dhanulti from Dehradun to check how the car performs in hilly terrains . I have taken my Tiago EV LR XZ PLUS TECH LUX to Surkanda Devi Temple(even 10km further than (Dhanualti).
I believe that the car performed fantastic and ride the ride quality was quite good but there is a problem of range anxiety especially with family which can create fear while driving but overall the car did more than I expected and I reached home (Dehradun) with the range of approx 70-80km.
so I think we can take the car till Dhanaulti with no problem just trust the car and it will not disappoint.
Yes bro . But to be frank in mountains the car performance well . Due to more regeneration . Other than that if you drive in the city you have to be very conscious about the speed and all that’s what my experience is for past 6 months . But driving far of is always a risk 😅

I just bought a tiago ev xt LR version and i drive 95% mainly on steep hilly terrain in my state of Meghalaya which is 1500 metres average above sea level.
I am really surprised by the power of the tiago ev which is better than a petrol car and the range too is very impressive, i get about 240 -260 kms on a full charge without AC.
The regen is superb, electric cars are perfect for hills.
Yes bro the range is good with the price range . Also in the mountains due to more regeneration of battery there is better range . After this mountain trip i charged the car for next day it was somehow showing a range of 343 😂😂 .

19:02 , u showed us the Battery Percentage remaining and KMS Range remaining while on your way down hill , till the time you showed us in the video you were already running down from the place above were you went , as i can see its 47% percent battery remaining and from that place to your home ,how many KMS was the drive? because it costed only 2% Battery drop from the place the photo was taken to your home , REGEN looks super solid and its worked like charm in downhill
64-70 km from that place bro . So a total trip 140 kms . Yes when in decent the REGEN works very strongly to give you max range . And when i charged the car for next day at 100% the car showed a range of 343 kms 😂
Bhai me landour se rajpur road 5% me aa gaya tha, including bhatta falls as well. regen ka maximum use karo. hard acceleration mat karo.
Hard acceleration ko toh zarurat h nahi hai . You can enjoy without acceleration

Basically jahan pa charging krro portable charger sa udhar aapke paas earthing hona or sahi stable voltage hona bahut zaruri hai . Vrna charger nhi chlta hai

Nhi bahut mushkil hai . 150km ki range aayegi single charge pe . Nd charging time bhi bahut lgega 😐

How is it in climbing very steeped turn?? I am concerned about that a lot!
Not an issue with that . Because there isn’t any transmission loss in it . So if you have given proper input to the acceleration it would go completely fine . And even this arises in some cases one should reduce the regeneration to zero . It would give more power
@mountainbalak thanks a lot, buddy! Your video gave me a lot of curiosity to explore my own tiago ev into hills. Guess what?? Yesterday only I returned back from mussoorie..dhanaulti! It was a seamless ride, and talking about the steep climbing...tiago ev is really very powerful in that case, I must say!!
I am from nepal. As you know nepal is a mountanous country. Do you recommend to buy tiago ev or not ? pls
In mountains it performs good no doubt . The fact that you want to buy depends upon how much kms you are running the vehicle for and also the charging system . A proper earthing and a constant voltage is very important for the charger to work . If there is even a slight change or something missing the charger won’t work at all .Though in mountains due to slopes it is helpful in regeneration so the range of the vehicle is good . In my opinion if the electricity system is proper in your area you can go ahead and buy the tiago ev LR ( Long Range ) .
How much kms do you drive in a day ?
I drive 100 kms max... In j&k region do you recomend ?

सर पहाड़ में ड्राइव करने में पिकअप में अंतर to नहीं तो नहीं आता है |क्या चढ़ाई में ev में कोई दिक्कत आती है |
नहीं भई जी गाड़ी चलाने में कोई दिक़्क़त नहीं आती है । लेकिन जब आप गाड़ी को रिवर्स करते हो तो ध्यान देना पढ़ता है क्यूंकि रिवर्स अचानक से होता है मोटर को कंट्रोल में रखनापढ़ता है। तो उसमे ध्यान देना पड़ता है ।

And second question - bhai aap isme himachal , uttrakhand and ladakh ki ride karke dekho , ek UA-cam par Banda h anjnaya vlogs usne 2 saal pahle hi ladakh ki ride ki thi Nexon ev me jab charging system itna acha nhi tha usne genrator carry kiya tha kuch thodi der ke liye, aap bhi isme karke dikaho bcoz Tiago petrol , Alto jasi chali jati hn to ground clearance me to problem nhi h , aap Senci ka genrator use kar sakte ho or proper camping wala feel aayega , Senci ka genrator size me Chhota or halka aata h easily aa jayega isme and jyada log plan banao and sath me ek petrol car rakhana or ye Tiago ev rakhana bhai maja aayega views bhi aayenge khoob
