    We are also having this nexon ev but we charge it with our solar roof top and have put a solar roof top on top of the car and that helps us even more,Our weekly twice run is 1400 kms up and down from Hyderabad to Vijaywada

    Nice information. This will certainly boost confidence in EV. But it is difficult to understand how a vehicle can run 160000 kms without tyre replacement.

      My nexon ev has completed 67000 and has replaced 2 tyres at 50000 in insurance due to footpath incidence, but trust me you can not differentiate the new tyres from old tyres, one thing I must say tata provides the best quality tyres (Goodyear for my nexon ev) and also an electric tyre inflator and liquid in case you have no puncture shops for long distance.

      Nexon EV has high silicon content low rolling resistant tyres.. Due to high silicon tyres lasts long.

      It is possiable because in general case bracking is not required . there is 3 regenartion mode , whenever pull leg from accelerator then bracking automatically applied as per regeneration mode ( mechanical enegery convert into Chemical energy in form of battery) which save tyre from road friction and same time save brack pad also

    I think the tyres are preserved in this EV because the owner drives very slowly and steadily (without rapid acceleration and deceleration, and stopping).

      battery regen on braking reduces pressure on tyre, therefore less wearing of tyre.

    One suggestion would be to have a solar panel installed in the car roof so that the battery can be charged when you are taking.a. Break.

      It has been thought of before. It's very costly to do, and the car will only get charged for some 50-60 km range after a full day. It's easier to use home charger.

    दो साल मे करीब 730 दिन ही होते है। अब 162000 को 730 से Divide करें तो करीब 220 किलोमीटर हर दिन की ड्राइविंग औसत आती है। तो क्या गाङी में ही रहते है क्या भाईसाहब।

    Yes, EV mein jyda chalte hai tyre because break use nahi hoti, motor ke KERS technology se car motor ke thru hi slow down hokar slow hoti hai and there is no pressure on the tyres everytime you slowdown your vehicle, thats why there is no tyre depreciation. I am using MG ZS ev, 25k kms where tyre surprisingly still looks new. Whereas my other pertrol/deisel cars tends to demand a replacement of tyres upon completing 35-40,000 kms

      But they have a high torque and continuous torque through the entire "Rev" range.. So, they generally tend to degrade a lot faster than regular car tires, isn't it??

      @@NemysisPrime That is true! But do understand the practical psychology of an EV owner. In a regular course of life, specially on long drives, to save the battery power, I or anyone else in the world, drives their EV mostly in eco mode which tends to save the tyre from high torque thing. Funny but true. Above everything, I appreciate your observation. But I just tried to mention, what is going around with us, owning an EV altogether. Whether or not, we have a fast charger ahead, we all still drive in eco mode much as possible.

    हमारी Nexon, EV, Prime Plus की Lithium बॅटरी पॅक 53,000 किलोमीटर मे रिप्लेस करणी पडी. Tata के तरफ से वारंटी मे फ्री मे रिप्लेस करके 10/02/2024 को Govind Car, Beed, Maharashtra से मिलने वाली है ।

    Meri xuv500 2012 model ke 85000 pe badal diye the around 30% bache the tyre
    But highway running ke kaaran change kar diye ,chal jaate around 120k
    Currently fortuner ke 65k orignal ( yokohama changed from bridgestone at new )tyre hai easily 90k chal sakte hai
    So lot depends on driving style

    I was thinking for ev but almost mostly question are cleared so now no doubt from my side but wife think that's to costly from others fuel version so have to go with wife point of view bcz ghar m shanti vhi bhi to rakhna h. I was really excited when ev vehicles where launched in India but wife main concern about saftey of bcz social media created too much bursting cases of ev vehicles that's the main concern about it 😊

    Excellent in content. A most honest, down to earth and non technical exchange of questions and replies by both these gentlemen. It is the simplicity with the minimum of technicalities that is appreciated because out of a scale of a thousand persons there MAY BE PERHAPS JUST ONE who may understand a few technical jargons BUT not their true functionalities. The Owner has laid a lot of stress on PLANNING which in the present day scenario of EV's is of paramount importance. Since his is of a specific routine route he may not of had the necessity of Apps showing Charging stations and other data located across India.
    Retain simplicity and honesty and thereafter one need not remind viewers to appreciate content because it goes without saying.

    This is a very good vehicle. Cheap to run, low maintenance, tension free. Driving is effortless. It is better than CNG vehicles. Indians should buy Tata Electric Vehicles instead imported ones.

    Plz explain: Nexon ev / Citroen EC3. Range same with ac and battery pack is 11KW less. Infact it goes 40 to 50 kms extra when at 60 kmph ??? Is tata giving u lesser battery pack quoting on paper more??

    I own a tiago ev , done 10,000 kms, i hardly use the brake even though i drive in hills only , the regeneration braking is very strong , u hardly need to use the brake , only in emergency, u need to press the brake. Ev's are perfect for hills, only in cold winter, battery consumption increases by 5-6 % ,
    Update. Done 21,000 kms , no problem so far.

      @@sanchitmalhotra3110 i have done 21,000 kms , no problem so far. I get on average 220-250 kms without AC driving in hills mostly [ Meghalaya] .. it comes to about 10% battery for 1 hour charging

    I bought a nexon a few months ago- issues with Bluetooth, FM controls on Steering, Rear parking cameras stopped working once, date& time changes itself, if I change back, it stays for a couple of days. Service team unable to address these issues. I am not really liking the brand. Any solution??

      चुंकि कार रिजरेशन करती है तब गाडी को रोकने के लिये ब्रेक नही लगाना पडते है इसलिये टायर और ब्रेक शु बहुत कम घिसाते है

      Sir, this car is a little heavier than an engine car.
      Isme weight ka koi issue nahi hai. Regenerative breaking system iske tyres ko ghisne se bachata hai.

    I know a friend who has taken MG EV near Lick down in 2020 and the batteries of car has been exhausted. The vehicle is lying with MG for the last almost 2 months.
    Just hard to believe what has been said.

      how is it possible for car to be at service centre since 2y+
      what you are saying is more unbelievable. Even if we somehow say that there was manufacturing defect, it won't take 2 years to replace battery

      Tata gives battery warranty for 8yrs / 160000kms. If battery state of health is less than 80% battery is completely changed at company cost.

    गाड़ी में वजन का भी तो फर्क है, डिजल बाली में वजन ज्यादा होता है उससे फर्क पड़ता है टायर घिसने में

    162000km run ke bad min cost saved is petrol=11-12lakh maintainance= 2-3lakh total cost saved= 13-15lakh.
    Still no issues with car and battery and owner can run car for 2lakh kms more easily as bettery health is 90%+.
    Throught life of this Ev car it can save you 25-30lakh rupees.
    How can people think that EVs are not worth it is beyond me, crazy...

    Normal gadi ki 20km milage lekr chalte fir bi 8000liter of petrol jalate Mtlb 8lakh ka petrol 8lakh ki nai gadi lelete..total wese bi 16lakh hota he plus me gadi resale value or maintenance
