Le clochard est un poète ! Phil tétrault (ua-cam.com/video/jnZfN0GoC6k/v-deo.html). Deux clochards célestes (Kérouac) !
if only more people were like Leonard Cohen. The human race might have a chance.
Barbra Streisand
No, expanding to other celestial bodies and star systems is necessary.
A brilliant mensch.
What a wonderful handsome, calm and respectable man, may he rest in peace
It's hard not to feel good when you hear Leonard Cohen
I chuckled my way through this...2 lads on a bench sharing crisps and drink. How relaxed and gentle the relationship between these two poets...
how can you not love this man
He had so much humility, grace, and kindness. Not a judgemental bone in his body. He took care of his friends as equals. I... no WE, will truly miss this man.
What a great couple of guys. Cohen reads that poem and instantly it could be one of his own.
such a delicious video, imagine you're walking in some crappy area of Montreal and all of a sudden you see Leonard Cohen sitting an a park bench shmoozing with a bum who he's known for many years. I would go and sit at his feet and listen and soak up all that is Leonard for hours upon hours.
Very moving.🐦Phil and Lenny.
He is so humble! it is beautiful!
I met him 1 time Southport UK wayyyy back. he walked alone to his tour bus & i offerd him a paper cup of wine , he kindly said thank you my friend . R.I.P. dear Leonard.
Such a Loss Our Beloved Poet Mystic Gypsy Traveler has moved on now.. Thank You for all the beauty you have left us
Leonard Cohen was no gypsy
@@Guratza I think he/she was referring to the song.
He was just the perfect tonic for this crazy world, Shalom Lenny!!
Shalom.....
What a great interview. I fall in love with that man again and again.
cool, graceful leonard you shall be missed.
This gives me happiness. A lovely day....I want this ease and embracing of the wind
my favorite poet, my favorite gem, my favorite drink, cannot have enough of them. ;)
this is such a beautiful vignette ❣️
Cohen is so chilled . The man called the thumb game dumb and Cohen brushed it off for the sake of peace.
I've been a v8 addict since i first watched this. Such a fanboy. I am inconsolable at his passing.
Please don't drink V8's. For the reason why, please look up Robert Lustig or John Yudkin. These factory produced high carb products are not healthy. Sorry if I popped your bubble. Always eat the whole fruit and Veg , don't juice them. No need to thank me , I just want people to see the truth.
Leonard Cohen, he's a Mensch of the very highest calibre. A singular writer of poetry, a musician of rare quality.
and a lover of all people he ever met. No shame or pride in his bones. dearly missed.
I am currently reading "Leonard Cohen, Untold stories: The early years". There is so much from the point of view of his friends, contacts etc that I wasn't aware of. A truly outstanding human being. I was lucky to see him once in concert because I live off the beaten path.
Love watching this. Thank you.
I live near a large park and each day as I stroll I think of Leonard and of how he could relate to all, his charm and of how he gave money to those in need. I think of him every day- and no offense to Kris but I'd choose Leonard every time. Montreal is an amazing city anybody who hasn't been there...Namaste from Ontario
What a treasure. I loved him so much.
Brilliant
Leonrd Cohen is my main man! Thank you for posting this and to the videographer for capturing!
That's a beautiful poem.
I come here not teach
Or to pray
I just want to say
Hi
How are you today.
PHILIP TETRAULT - Died in Montreal on July 14, 2022, at the age of 70
Gee, he can read The Sun's classified section as it were piece of Homer... :-) luv him!
"From mountain boy I change to street gypsy"---I liked that line a lot--
Beautiful voice even just reading
no one is going to comment on the majesty of the poem ?
I love more and more Leonard Cohen each day.
Thanks for the video.
Uruguay 🇺🇾 South America
That's one sweet breeze/ Leonard is right there's nothing like a park bench a bottle in a brown paper bag and a good friend to pass the time away with
..Exactly..Great wisdom every wk for me
RIP, Mr. Cohen, great poet and nice guy.
My ex, in the late 1960s, used to encounter and talk with Leonard in some park in lower Westmount. A few times they went together from there to Schwatrz's for lunch. She told me, and I believed her, that Leonard wasn't her type. She just liked discussing literature with him.
Yeah sure, I guess Leonard Cohen is no woman´s type.
How could he NOT be any woman's type. He stayed gorgeous until the end. RIP
I always thought he was very good looking, as a man looking at a man, but my ex was a little weird. She had to be to fall in love with an impoverished used bookstore owner who, frankly, in his own opinion, didn't have much going on in the way of looks.
But Leonard has left us, and for the past couple of days I've been crying off an on, bittersweet tears that have more to do with joy than sadness. I started reading his poetry about 1965. I've been listening to his songs for almost 50 years. He has enriched my life more than anyone else I can think of.
Such genuine, comfortable affection between them and I love how Leonard insisted on reading his poem right then and there... and how naturally well he did so. He's so affirming of everyone he meets... and, as we see here, knows.
Loved his thumb wrestling account and his humour with regard to Kristoferson.
Wonderful footage of Leonard in a friendship comfort zone. He's so at ease... as seemingly always. This is a treasure.
Bout time for another view, yeah?
I love this video!
This is my favourite video. This is life.
matters not the park,,,matters more the states of mind,,,if it be their will!!!
Yeah, i love the part "I change to a street gypsy just in crossing the boulevard" too.Oh boy,Cohen is such a great poet!:)
Cohen didn't write it..it was the guy he was with, Tetrault.
What I wouldn't give for Leonard to be my grandfather or father..!
Rest in peace Leonard . Thank you for sharing your wisdom and beautiful soul through your poetry and song. You will be missed but still heard.
Leonard strikes me as a good chess player, dont know why.
To jest malutki skwer: Park Portugalski około 40 metrów od domu Cohena przy 28 Rue Vallières w Montrealu :)
The poem IF by Rudgard Kipling comes to mind.
R I P Mr Cohen
If I could hear my own writings read out by Leonard Cohen, I actually might like them.
The beautiful person with another beautiful person ❤️
💓💗💟

Everything what he was doing to make others happy. 🌸🌺🌹👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😍
Leonard was such a Good Man....
I'll agree, but nobody is perfect. He had his faults as we all do.... A main reason I love him so much. ❤
I live 10 min away from the Portuguese Plaza. Why did I not pass by that day...? Or so many days that he must have been sitting on that bench in front of his Montreal house on St Laurent St...
Go easy on the tomato juice. What an awesome little moment
ER IST SO HERRLI CH MENSCHLICH. DANKE FUER DIESE MOMENTE MIT IHM.
Wielki Poeta, Piękny Człowiek.Mój ukochany na zawsze.Dziękuję za wszystko.💋👄💋👄❤💓💔💕💖
What a remarkable man, been following him for 14 years and keep being amazed.
This is tremendous. I've never heard Leonard in such informal, colloquial circumstances.
I read that it was shot in 2005
Leonard love people in such a personalized way!
Moments. Of this nature put the life of Cohen really in to perspective.
i live on the boulevard and constantly walked in this park. i never saw this guy.
I wish there were episodes upon episodes of a show like this.
Awesome stuff. Our band's lead singer is very influenced by this stuff. Check it out if you get a chance. Peace!!
Leonard didn't have a lot of pride, but he had respect and dignity in his and others humanity. although he was from a jewish family, I see him as very Catholic.
@lizziecohen
And look how very handsome Leonard is on this day and in this natural light.
The world has lost a treasure. A class act would be an understatement. Rest in peace mon cher ami.
