As a newer player I hate hearing this, but I understand. I hope this game can continue forward for awhile longer. It sucks everyone is burnt out on Tarkov when new players like me have just recently been absolutely hooked. I know its been years for you guys, but I just hope I can enjoy it a little longer before it dies completely.
People have been insisting it will "die completely" for years, but it never actually comes to fruition. I wouldn't worry too much about not being able to play anymore. Us oldheads can be rather cynical and bitter anymore 😂
What's he said are not totaly true, the game is not dead at all. Sometime the raid is quiet sometine is madness. In fact at start of the wipe the game is madness everytime but everyone have the same quest and are in the same hot zone. Now everyone are in a different stage of progression but Pvp is still present but less often and it's okay !
its mainly people with like 2k plus hours. they are worn out from repetitive questing they've done like 20 times. having a lot of experience makes you good but you can get burnt out a bit quicker then someone on their like 3rd or 4th wipe. there will probably always be new player tbh. tarkov has a lot of players but idk about CoD amount of players. im sure it will pick up around release too.
Also, I have the feeling that gray zone is WAY overhyped. Haven't seen a single reason so far for it to be a tarkov killer. Anyways, hope for the best and cheers from Brazil!
Gray Zone is definitely way overhyped. It seems like they might be using Models/assets from the store too, a lot of things are red flags. UE will always make games look "beautiful" whether they are clunky/networking works well is another story. Also UE4/5 are both TERRIBLE for open world or larger simulated worlds, the performance hit is already bad on a normal PC, combining a third party server etc is going to tank it. Fortnite is on such a modified engine (with cartooney graphics) that it's not even considered UE inhouse anymore. PUBG devs had to get assistance from Epic to completely overhaul the way the game was handled and got a measly 30fps boost over 6 months after getting help from the devs themselves 1-1. UE5 is the same. People usually go to UE though because it has a lot of pre-made assets, skeletons, animations etc to make a game fast. But if you are making a larger based world and as a developer choose Unreal Engine, it already shows an extremely bad choice at the most basic fundamental level. I don't have hope for that game tbh.
i like your content but have to disagree with no wipe servers, after 4 years im done doing the same shit over and over would like to jump in after 3 months of nothing and still have all my shit, its getting old and they wont keep players like that, also all games that have tried to copy tarkov have been shit, ill give the benefit of the doubt to grey zone but im willing to bet anyone without a space ship of a PC is gonna be screwed.
If they do no wipe servers than there must be something that keeps the audience engaged. That's all. If 3 months into the no wipe server players stop playing then that is it.
Great video, and I agree with all the issues you lay out. One thing I will say though is I would say there is one other successful extraction shooter, and that is Hunt: Showdown. Its a very different niche and a definitely smaller but a great game with a passionate player base none the less.
To be honest I feel what they should have done before adding this new expensive edition should have been Fixing the game , upgrade the Engine , maybe add new ideas remove one tap from assault Rifles at least 2 bullets >_> unskill to be honest I know is realistic but still meh dont like it making better performance Im sure there plenty of cool stuff they can add into the game But for me it was so nice to take 2 mega chad with some AK and FPS table since I finally upgrade my 1070 to a 4080 huge upgrade :) 7 years with the old graphic cards playing on low FPS got me to stop playing eft for almost 3 months until upgrade
I stopped playing because the framerate is awful. Cant take it seriously as a shooter if the mouse swipes feel like absolutely dogass compared to every shooter. Erratic dips between 80-120 FPS at 1080p low on top end hardware is unacceptable.
Hey! This may be alleviated by trying to increase visual settings (if you haven’t already.) This game is apparently very CPU dependent and quite honestly badly optimized. Nevertheless, utilizing more of the GPU if the system is “top end,” will likely improve your frame rate while providing some more eye candy. But then again, it is Tarkov…😅
A lot of people optimize their PC’s if you dont tweak the settings out of the box yea the game runs like ass. But with some optimizations most maps except streets should run pretty decent-playable. You just have to look it up and be weary cuz a lot of stupid guides that dont do anything. Theres rlly only a handful of settings that will give you that fps jump/more stable fram rates
@@chuyalexis1411 I did the freethy optimization pack - 2.5 hour long video when my PC was brand new out of the box. I even have a light windows. Resolution timer, ISLC, over clock CPU and GPU, every Windows setting you can think of, registry tweaks, CMD tweaks, disk clean-ups - like ALL of that nerdy nuanced stuff. It's a game/engine/dev/optimization problem. All of my other shooters run 200 FPS minimum.
@@Killjoy.Z yea thats weird. I have a 4050 laptop and if i play without any recording software or anything in the background i get a min of 100-120 fps even streets i wont go below 60 fps rlly ever even if im recording. So yea idk and its a laptop which obviously wouldnt compare to a 4050 in a desktop
Hey man, really like your videos! This is my 3rd or 4th wipe, and it's been the best so far! I've seen major improvements to the game in just about a year playing, but I agree that they must come up with something better to keep players playing the game. At the beggining of the wipe I would use every little time and energy to play it every day. Now I can go about a week without touching it, just to play it for 2 hours... It's sad because I really like it, but after maxing out traders I feel like there's not much to do...
This game has a big problem. It is the gear, everytime i die, i have to buy atleast 10 different things, just to get one shotted by a cheater or hardcore camper. Let us keep our gear, will make this game much more fun. It is ok to lose all loot, but requip every death is shit.
@@GAWD_Y Maybe if you have 100mil rouble, or cheats. But with 500k rouble, sneaking over the map, and getting killed in the last 5minutes, by a lvl 3 exit camper, isnt fun. My surv rate is atm at 47% with 3.64k/d

it doesn't die .. streamers like to doom-a-gloom it every mid/late Wipe that the game is going "to die". Since I started playing during Covid.

its not dying anytime soon if thats your concern

Defiantly not a Tarkov killer. The PvEvP makes it a totally different game.
Gray Zone is definitely way overhyped.

Totally agree. Upgrade the engine should be a priority over other things
when is the unity engine update?
Planned to be in 2024 sometime. But no roadmap out yet.

Cheaters drove me away. Blatant ones and closet walls users

That's why I have high hopes from the final release.

I mean there are presets for that now
Isnt that the fun part? Loosing gear makes it 100x more fun

Release tarkov.
Release DLCs.

Cheaters in a game like Tarkov where your gear is worth your time is a bigger issues than other casual shooters. That's why people overreact.
an acutal anti cheat would work wonders.
