Thanks for joining us again, Sarah, and for creating this lovely piece! It baffles me how much people LOVE giraffes, yet their true plight is rarely recognized or realized.
Hi Denise! It was an absolute pleasure. I really enjoyed the painting and playing a part towards increasing awareness of how vulnerable these amazing animals are 💜
Love the eyes. So expressive! This reminds me of the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. They had a large male giraffe named Ivan. He was especially tall. He was on loan for the purposes of genetic diversity but was actually a multiple rapist and even tried to mate with a rhino and a zebra, which was annoyed enough to bite his tail in half. Ivan was also a consummate interior decorator. He especially enjoyed taking the trees that were planted in his enclosure and moving them around. He was quite the character. He has since been given back to his original zoo. And every one breathed a sigh of relief.
Sarah your piece is so beautiful and so sensitive!! As always, your watercolour technique makes me envious 😂 I love that big flat brush, too! I hope you’re having a lovely time away 💖💖
Beautiful painting. I loved this video and learning more about my favorite animal, the giraffe. Who knew a group of giraffes is called a tower! Thanks so much.
What a beautiful video Sarah - with so much wonderful information - on one of my favourite animals too: thank you! I see you're using a Princeton brush and wondered what series is it? I do love their brushes. God bless you for caring about the conservation of amazing creatures on our planet!
I was so happy to find your channel through the AAC. This painting turned out beautiful, I love the young giraffe's precious face. The eyes turned out amazing, really well done on the reflections. I'm off to watch more of your lovely videos :)
I seriously enjoyed YOUR rendition of the BEAUTIFUL SERIES! I'm DEFINITELY a new subscriber and look forward to all that you do along with watching your past videos! Your voice makes it VERY EASY and your ambition paid off...YOUR WORK IS STUNNING! Hugs from Massachusetts...Laura🤓🇵🇷💜💙💚💛❤
Hi bonnie have you ever been to the staithes heritage and arts festival that we have here in staithes every year? I hope you don’t mind but my very dear friend al Milnes owns the art gallery in staithes and I gave her your name and she googled your work and was absolutely blown away with your amazing gift. Plus she didn’t realise you live in Richmond. I said to her that you would be perfect for our festival as we don’t have many wildlife artists with your Calabria. Al seemed really keen to have you as part of the festival. We have the festival normally the first full weekend in September but all artists have to book up in about March/April. We have artists come from all over Britain exhibit their work in the cottages we have in our beautiful village. It starts this coming Friday night and finishes on the Sunday evening and we have around 8-10,000 visitors come with lots of cash to buy original pieces of art work. If you decide to pay us a visit then trust me you’ll love it and maybe if you like it enough then you can book your place and come and show our visitors just how brilliant you are. The other artists on your team are more than welcome to come and join us too. We would love to have you here to help us celebrate art.x
Hi Alison! I'm so thrilled that your friend liked my art and honoured that she would consider it for your arts festival! However, i live in Sussex, not Richmond so Staithes is a good long way away from me. Such a shame as I would love to have been a part of it and visit such a beautiful part of the country. I hope it all goes well and thank you for thinking of me 😊💜
