Why it works: Kylo Ren is named ben solo, Ben Solo is also named ben like ben linus, Kylo Ren killed his father, star wars and daddy issues, ben linus is also named ben, etc..
This show is amazing, look the nature, look this excellent scene, excellent actors, the music makes it much drama and the person takes more attention. For me, this was and is the best one I've ever seen, I love their songs that fit in perfect situations, the actors are always excellent (Ben Linus, Desmond Hume, Jack, Kate, Sayid-really good, James, Clair, John- the best, Charles Wid., Man in black, Richard, Rose and anothers... and above all its history and composition of themes for each season. It is spectacular! those who did not see, I recommend.
+sensoriussupremus Ending this kind of show is hard, other shows like Breaking Bad had more pleasing endings because the stories aren't that complicated (although Breaking Bad's ending was very very obvious to me). The ending of Lost in the extra material was better. I'd rather say the 5th season destroyed most of the series mystery regarding Dharma and they should've showed the identity of Locke in the 5th season finale (although it was a good season finale)
So basically to be the leader of the others you have to kill your own dad? Ben lead them after widmore and Ben killed his own dad so he expected Locke wouldn't but Richard showed him his dads file and knew he would get sawyer to.
Not sure that an actual rule. Just one Ben made up to embarrass Locke whom Ben envied for his deep connection to the Island. After all, the Island cured Locke's paralysis (healed his severed spinal cord), while Ben developed a tumor on his spinal cord that would have killed him if Jack hadn't removed it. Locke gets visions from the Island. Locke heard what they both thought was Jacob in the Cabin. Ben...was all...what about me! Don't I matter. And this scene here is where ALL of that came from. Ben's guilt over his mother dying in childbirth delivering Ben into this world, drove him to try to save pregnant women from that fate on the Island (since the Incident). Ben's feelings of inferiority, of being unloved and unaccepted by his own father made him crave to be special. Joining the Others made him feel special. Helping them purge the Island of the Dharma folks made him feel special. Being the leader of the Others made him feel he had arrived at that place of belonging. But then along came John...previously paralyzed from the waist down suddenly walking around perfectly fine while Ben simultaneously developed that tumor, driving him to do all the cruel things he did to Kate & Sawyer using them as pawns to manipulate Jack into saving him. All of that even being necessary made Ben jealous that John is usurping his "specialness". This is what made Ben so easily susceptible to MiBs manipulations and everything that followed.
He was confused, didn't really think Ben would do something like that. Plus it may have been too late anyway, if that stuff had penetrated his lungs enough. Also, I'm sure Ben had a backup plan. At :45 though, The answer he gave, omg I don't blame Ben one bit
IceHeartFireDragon When Hurley found him he was in the back not in the seat so maybe he drove him away of the path and either flipped it or a storm did it
@kappelmeister123 but would it really be that effective out in the open? with just those small canisters they showed in the show? Also, if you look at Ben's mask, it's not fully sealed against his face lol. But those kinds of details I don't mind. Someone else had mentioned it
@@apple54345 I believe redemption is up to the opinion of the viewer. If you mean that he was not in the church, others were not in a church as well, but doesn't mean they weren't redeemed, just means they did not all move on together like the group in the church did.

Obessive father would explain ben's evilness but have To think that was it also the monsteri Who affected him when Richard took him To the Temple as a young boy.

I know Bens father was a weak man, but you cant really blame him at the same time. Yes he was a shitty father, But a mature man such as BEN should know better. His father was a sadman both in life and reality. He should have showed him a better way. And not blame his dad for the ''shitty life'' he had. I mean Ben lost his mom, and his dad lost his WIFE the one woman he loved the most.
First, nobody could believe they are father and son, they look same age and two, is unrreal the father didn't try to open the door or take off ben's mask, is a terrible scene for me.
for the first part I'm on your side, but for the second there is a common explanation (not refutable but at least logical): that gas was a generic nerve agent or most probably Hydrogen Sulfide (that's why he started bleeding from the nose) which cause immediate respiratory problems, and was convulsing too. As I understood that scene, they played it as he couldn't have a reasanable reaction because he was actually still in shock of wondering why on Earth his son was gassing him [he tried to reach for him or his mask in his final moments], it was too immediate and surprising for him to react in time. On a lesser note, he still had the seatbelt on so he had many things to think about while his lungs were literally burning, so it's not so farfetched that they played it as he was unable to have a fast reaction to something that unexpected.
Ben just went solo.
That works on several levels. Clever.
Why it works: Kylo Ren is named ben solo, Ben Solo is also named ben like ben linus, Kylo Ren killed his father, star wars and daddy issues, ben linus is also named ben, etc..

Ben used gas to give himself the birthday present he always wanted.

Charlie knew his time was up, he cheated death a few times and part of his death is acceptance.
