If you could only own one camera bag, what would it be?

Honestly? Most likely the Billingham Hadley Pro 🤷‍♂️

I was always trying bag after bag, but nothing really clicked with me until I purchased a Wotancraft 7L pilot and fell in love with style and usability which led me to purchase a 3.5L for my one camera carry on the streets.. Thanks for such a great product..

I love those two sizes as well. Have you seen their new parashooter straps?

I loved the Ryker but the leather was a bit too heavy. I moved to the Trooper with Fuji which could support my 50-140. Last year I moved to Leica and looking for something smaller. So thinking about either the Pilot or Easy Rider.
      Not sure yet.

I have a couple of Billingham bags, a Hadley small and medium, I think (not too sure of the names anymore, I've had them for at least a decade) and a couple of years ago, based on your recommendation, I ordered a 7 litre Pilot with the Fidlock. I rarely use the Billinghams anymore as I prefer the ease of use and frankly, the aesthetics of the Wotancraft. Great bags to use and very well made.

I had a few Billinghams in my time , but I sold them all as I never used them. They really nailed it with the Pilot series.

When I first saw your reviews I thought, “Oh yeah, another bag.” But I ordered a Pilot in the size I was needing. Two days ago I received my fourth order consisting of both bags and straps. This is great equipment! It’s made for each order, not taken off the shelf and they even made some customizations on my last order. As close to boutique custom gear without the corresponding price. Great stuff made in small shop for photographers, not corporate profits.

Thanks for this, Justin. It is funny how the more you use your camera, the more you realise the importance of something like the bag you're carrying it in. I love how Albert uses his design to test it out before it goes into production.

Love these bags! First saw an overview from Justin’s channel and took the plunge and got a 7L pilot bag. I’ve been using it on all my trips and it was great for a rainy season in the Philippines. It’s such a perfect size for my set up. Usually a one camera/ lens set up with enough extra room for film, flash, light meter, and even a water bottle. It’s also not too big for daily carry in my hometown. Best part about it is that it doesn’t scream camera bag and it blends in. Such a great company and product!

You said it perfectly and yes the 7L feels perfect for me as well.

Great interview. Love the dynamic! Just received the Pilot 10L for an upcoming trip next year. I have the 1L bag and it is great for my M or Q2. Fits comfortably in my backpack. It's bullet proof, and it can bounce! Thank you for introducing me to these awesome bags. I DM'd the folks at Wotancraft to ask their advice on bag sizes, and they were super helpful. I'm fast collecting bags at an alarming rate and competing with my wife!
One other random AskMott query. What online photo sharing platform are folks using to share images with clients? Zenfolio, PhotoShelter, Flickr, SmugMug ...

That’s great to hear Paul, where are you heading off to? We use Dropbox for just about everything.

Thanks, Justin. Heading off to Bhutan for a cultural safari for 10 days, then Phuket for some R&R. Hopefully, will get a fixer for a few days in Bhutan. Have you been? Yeah, Dropbox is good, and so is Google for sharing material. All the other stuff has too much fluff.

Thanks for the video. Interesting stuff. Do you know if there are plans to update the sniper bag? I think it has a lot of potential but don't want to buy version 1 if version 2 is on the horizon.

Love this interview. Love the fact that they are photographers at heart and not just trying to fit into a niche market.
I have the Daily Slings in black and khaki. Your channel actually introduced me to them. Might have to look into the Pilot bags in the future. Boy, my wife will kill me. I might have more bags than her. LOL!

My wife is the same, “ don’t you gave a camera bag like that already?” I follow that with a 10 minute enthusiastic presentation pointing out the differences. Check out the Pilot series I’d you’re in lightweight modular bags. For me , it hits the sweet spot for weight, style, and functionality.

Why the captions you can’t turn off? Very distracting

    • @AskMOTT
      @AskMOTT  7 місяців тому +1

Because it was done in editing using CapCut much more efficiently and accurate and I had to use captions for this episode as English is Albert’s 2nd language and I wanted to make sure people could understand him clearly.
