Can you redo the 0-100 test when the hybrid battery shows as full? I just know from the gen2 prius days there was alot more power when the battery was fully charged, the ECU wants to burn that power off more willingly. There is a hack people can do to fool the ECU into thinking the battery is 100% charged all the time and the thing is a rocket.
I really like this car, I wish our normal Corolla got this hybrid drivetrain like the US but we're stuck with the crappy 1.8L hybrid. I'm surprised how different the claimed and real 0-100 is but at the same time, it's still quite good and it sips fuel.
That’s a pretty damn fast 0-60 time.
Before the apologie for fisheye mode i thought i was tripping out! 😂
Haha, yes. Sorry about that. I'm not sure why I had it on in the first place.
Has the same 0-100 time as the BMW X1 xDrive20i without launch control. Good.
Is there any chances to have the same test for the 1.8 hybrid please?
nice car to drive. but my country only get 1.8 hybrid fwd. quite responsive and agile.
Waiting for the xtrail e-power e-4orce
Whats the waiting time for one of these? great looking SUV, Toyota are making great cars once again.
In NZ, it's already too late, orders for all but the base trim are sold for this year and there's a waiting list for 2024. I ordered a Limited (Atmos in Aus) in Sept, expected around June.
2 years...
Great SUV! I like it! ❤
Was 98 RON unleaded used for this test?
So it appears to be the modern day equivalent of the Tercel. Showing my age here aren’t I 😂😂
Tercel was awesome too. An unloved classic.
What kind of battery does it have and what capacity?
4.06Ah lithium-ion
@@nightowlnzab thks. No more NiMH batteries in toyota hybrids now?
@@Citizen052 certain models in certain regions still use a NiMH battery
@@brandonczw thats good to know. Personally I prefer the NiMh battery because it seems safer.
@@brandonczw what's the transmission between the engine to the wheel? or it's not connected?
GR Corolla coming ?
Been wondering the same, would be interesting to see the performance difference between the 3 trim levels.
@@Thumplepuss Night and day between the atmos and the GR .
@@davidgriggs3967 To clarify, I meant the 3 trims of the GR Corolla; Core, Circuit, Morizo
We only get 2 models in aus.
Circuit pack one but no carbon roof. Stupid to not give us that option.
It's called GTS here. Plus top spec one.
Only like 25 of them.
Is there any reason that this one was much slower than the US version? The powertrain appears to be the same.
In several media tests I saw times constantly faster than the claimed 7.6 seconds.
We're not sure. We tried a number of runs, like always, and this was the best result on the day.
@@PDriveTV us version do 0-60mph not 0-100km. Guessing that's the discrepancy.
Maybe the battery was full and thus heavier.
@@mvnorsel6354 😂😂😂😂
@@rufus001 Those electrons are heavy, yo!
Isn't the 0-100 km around 7.7 second based on the video test? I timed it on my own watch.
Timing from your watch is not very accurate, mainly because all factory speedo gauges are out by around 5% (some more, some less). We use a Racelogic Vbox Sport GPS data-logger for all of our tests. Hope that helps.
Mahindra Scorpio review please if possible

At the price of the corolla cross you’re better off getting a rav4
unless your mate works for toyota or you want to pay 10k over, rav4 4wd hybrid is too backlogged
@@nyc863 what if you just got the cruiser spec and all wheel drive it’s only 4k more and for that you get so much more
@@MrJBL0 all rav4 hybrid all wheel drive models are unobtainable and overpriced when second hand or demos.
I am not a petrol head. Not interested in that. Fuel economy is far more imp.
