  • This is my second SV650 cafe racer conversion. Total build cost was over £6000 excluding any labour (approx 4 days). I went a little further with this project than the previous one and created my ideal bike. Hope you like it.

What a blast. Never had an SV but I like it a lot.

I have a 2000 sv650s as well---the frame makes it 17 lbs lighter than the gen2 sv and I like the look of it better than the gen2 frame---nice job on the mods---your first one was beautiful too.

Outstanding! I have a Ducati S4R, but will eventually build an SV like this. This is the perfect mountain road bike. Well done bro!

Thanks sadly she’s been sold now. Very happy new owner. In the end I rarely rode it (I have another bike) so once it was built I kinda lost interest (other than looking at it in the garage).

Great bike....on my way to get one...where did you get the headlight ....and seat made?
    Thanks for the inspiration mate..!

Headlight or front fairing? Fairing, screen and mounting bracket was form Poly26 in Belgium. Headlight itself is just a universal 7" headlight bucket and LED 'Halo' light. Seat and back pad I had custom made

that's really cool, especially with that older model...
wonder how the same build would be on a newer model/frame?!

Different beast. It's much more 'angular' and the fairing and cowl I've used won't fit

Hi Martin. The fairing (and bracket and screen) are Poly26 (www.xaissbike.com/859-suzuki-svs-650-kit-retro-de-1999-a-2002)
The seat cowl is from Airtech Streamlining in the US.
      Good luck with your project

How comfortable are those handlebars? Could your ride for several hours on it without pain? or more 1 hour riding and taking breaks?

    • @eugenereisch
      @eugenereisch  Рік тому +1

Longest I've ridden was 2 hours - was fine. They are a touch lower than stock (about 1.5/2" drop) but I personally can live it it

@@eugenereisch I'm looking to do similar with a 'Ducati Imola' fairing from ebay in Italy. Looking closer at your video I see the spacers under the yoke and the lower bars. Presumably they need to be dropped to give clearance from the fairing? What do you think the minimum height drop needs to be? I'm doing a fairly long ride at the weekend, I think I may drop the bars 25mm before I change anything to see how it feels.

@@megasheddiaries Very similar fairing. Yeah, it was 20 or 25mm... can't remember exactly, as I've sold the bike - and yes, it was so the bars/brake reservoir could clear the fairing's upper 'arms'

    • @eugenereisch

Poly26 in Belgium and the bike is a 1999. The kit will fit all 1st generation ’curvy/carby’ SVs

    • @brettharvey714

Any ideas on how the kit would fit a gen2 sv650 2009 model?
