    Hey i saw the reviews of some acrylic mirrors and it said the the reflection is little assorted
    I'm wondering if that will affect the kaleidoscope or it it fine to use those ?

      You are welcome! The thicker the acrylic mirror the better the quality of reflections will be. You could also try using real glass first surface mirrors or get a broken projection TV and make something like this ua-cam.com/video/qzFX29IhBl4/v-deo.html

      Just random placement. After you make your first kaleidoscope you will see what the lines look like depending on their placement. You can then adjust the position and distance in your next model to reflect your preference.

    The one I'm using is of 3.5 mm thickness and with the measurements same as of yours.

    • @my-pixels

      The reason behind using acetone is to remove the mirror coating on a plastic mirror. So far, it's been working fine on those mirrors.

    Bonjour My Pixels. J'ai l'habitude, dans l'atelier que j'anime, de faire faire des kaléidoscopes classiques à mes adhérents. Je découvre avec ravissement aujourd'hui cette autre méthode très spectaculaire. Merci pour ce tuto très clair et je vais l'expérimenter à l'atelier. Juste une question: Lorsque vous avez marqué en couleur vos rayures du côté tain, vous avez utilisé une série de couleurs. Lorsque vous avez retourné votre triangle pour remarquer en couleurs sur l'autre face, vous n'avez pas utilisé les mêmes couleurs en surimpression. Cela a t-il aucune importance, ou est-ce délibéré, et quelle incidence cela a-t-il sur le résultat final ? Bien amicalement de France
    Hello My Pixels. In the workshop I run, I am used to having my members make classic kaleidoscopes. I am delighted to discover today this other very spectacular method. Thank you for this very clear tutorial and I will try it out in the workshop. Just a question: When you colored your stripes on the tan side, you used a series of colors. When you turned your triangle over to notice in color on the other side, you did not use the same colors overprinted. Does this matter, or is it deliberate, and how does it impact the end result? Kind regards from France

    • @my-pixels
      @my-pixels  9 місяців тому

      Hi there, thank you for your comment! No, I did not use colors on the other side. I just coloured the outer side of the mirror.
