That's easy to know. The waves only come with 3 hammer minions, 3 staff minions and 1 canon. The other type of wave comes only with 3 of hammers and 3 of staff.

It's probably just more annoying to be ganked by Neeko because she has an easy/strong CC ability whereas most invis champs don't.

I had a Neeko jungle in my game for the first time today and I could not stop laughing at how a minion just flash ulted to follow up on my engage. But also I really don't want to face it.

Cool thing, if you wander around as a jungle camp, it doesn't show on the minimap. They can only spot you if they are actually looking at you, which means you can kind of ignore enemy vision
will they fix that or works as intended?

1. a stacked wave with MORE than the normal amount by far, more than neeko and her clone could achieve
2. its a shedded wave with LESS than the normal amount, but neeko is still there
3. she comes as the first minion in lane
4. or 4, which will eventually happen, bug abusers force a minion to be trapped under their tower and replace it in lane for an even more indistinguishable gank

You know how to take your minion gank to the next level? Fake out the enemy team with a Clone Recall, they see the clone recalling and thinking it's you, while you're rolling up in the next minion wave as a fellow minion while they think it's a 1v1 or 1v2 if you're support Neeko

I have found that a lot of players honestly don't even notice if a minion is attacking them, so you really don't even need to do as much of an immediate engage once you get into range. You can genuinely just attack them as the minion probably 3 or 4 times before they notice, especially if they had just pulled normal minion aggro.
I would be scared that i'm alone agains a wave and every 2 second there's a 120 AP damage out of nowhere.

another tip: Neeko can also channel a full recall of your allies thus extends the clone duration

Usually the clone only is there for a few seconds but if you backport it is there the whole backport animation.
@@clemens8715 This guy is correct. I use this to fake backs or to bait engages. Looks really convincing. More clone tricks as a mid main: Constantly take a form in lane to give your opponent and enemy jg trouble tracking your resources since you take bars of your ally. Swap out the adc as both in bot recall and surprise bot lane with your CC. If you have a duo who you’ve been as the whole lane, have them swap places with you to surprise mid as minion. They’ll think the ally is you. If people get used to your stealth ganks, bait cooldowns with a cloned minion or ally. Constantly be the ADC during teamfights to make it hard to target the backline correctly. Use the clone to fake movement over wards. My favorite is walking over a ward while disguised then send it back over the ward to make it look like you turned around. then gank as a jungle monster to bypass close by control wards to the lane (jungle camps can’t be seen). You can mix around these and combine them to make yourself nearly impossible to predict. She is the ultimate stealth champ.

It is worth noting that I've seen Neeko's die by taking on the form of a ward by having the enemy simply kill the ward, in other words don't assume your health is safe as a pink ward, if they auto you 4 times and you don't come out of the disguise you will die lmao. I'm not certain if that was intended or not but its actually hilarious
no it should jsut break your disguise, but there was a bug that effects that execute minions and wards (support shields) oneshot neeko

The one that really gets me is when she disguises as a buff camp. Because even as the jungler it can be hard to know when they are up as the game goes on since the enemy can take them. I don't really see the counterplay for that
It's definitely better if you have actually just taken their buff and then disguise as it, because then they can be pretty certain their buff is supposed to be up
So Neeko is basically like Evelynn now, except that instead of being able to be anywhere except for right next to you, she can be anywhere that there is an object.
as a neeko main im absolutely in love with the rework but it also means her banrate in support has gone up to like 20% when it was at maybe .5% before :')

some things ive noticed that will definitely be caught on when the rework finally settles down:
- doesnt share particle effects with baron minions
- autos do a lot more damage than normal minions
- red buff pops up still while in form
- invis wards dont make u invisible
- inanimate disguises besides minions give less movespeed

Wait Neeko is actually DISGUSTING with Yasuo mid. Your ult sets up for his, you’re AP jungler, AND you can transform into a raptor then follow him out when he’s charging q on the raptors. Borderline impossible to count those baby rators, easy gank

What would be funny was if this turned around on Neeko in higher levels of play. Knowing that you always have to be alert on minions and wards and stuff might be stressful, but imagine if pro players for example got so used to it that when there's a Neeko in the enemy team, the play much sharper subconsciously and in the end Neeko loses win rate just on a psychological level.
Mental stack exists so them focusing on neeko will in turn mean they will neglect something else

A really cool thing to do is to kill only one small raptor, the one in the back, transform into it, wait for the enemy jungler to come and use all abilities and become a little low, attack. So many first bloods with this
I love in Korea Neeko shouts Booba every time she Q's lmao
She says OBA, which is Brazilian Portuguese and means "awesome/hooray" because Flora Paulita is Neeko's voice actress in the English version. It's the same voice line as in the English and Portuguese versions. Neeko has a lot of Brazilian voice lines to make her feel exotic and foreign.

People say count the minions but here is the real thing you need to get good at: realizing she’s no longer on the map. Just like a lot of high-pressure champs, if they can’t be seen, you need to be cautious. This is why things like Fiddlesticks, Shen, TF, and Nocturne get people. They do not respect the chance of them coming in.
People are going to ignore your comment simply because they're more focused on particular situations rather than her general impact on the whole game. Everyone's not going to stay in their lane for even 20 minutes into the game to farm lane minions neither will enemies be 100% there to assist Neeko because she functions more as an engager than a burst mage. You spot her position on the map and keep track of it, you have pretty much countered her. I don't understand why people are into the idea that she's a champion that is present in the whole map. She's different from Evelynn and Nocturne, she needs you to be stupid in order for her thing to work.
So basically KR challengers play Neeko exactly like other regions challengers. Nice one!
even b4 this neeko had lots of interesting tricks with coming to lane as a support when they are doing smth else etc. also can use clone to tank 2 hits of jngl monsters if done right,
My favorite thing to do pre rework was scaring the enemy champion away by becoming the jungler when i was going back to lane lol

I feel like cheat clients are going to be able to identify a disguised Neeko pretty easily
They already can, in fact not even cheat clients, even just a standard client like blitz will show the gold difference over neeko's head even in disguise. I wonder what riot's answer to this will be
@@twistedpivoter2695 there are a few items and abilities which can also spot her, for example having night harvester creates the green bubble looking thing next to her, telling you it can be activated on her for bonus damage, this of course only shows itself on champions explicitly.

The best part of all of this new rework is the possibility of a revival of the long lost HIDE AND SEEK private lobbys
I do have to say, as someone who loved playing Neeko before the rework, I did not think that the rework would fix the issues with Neeko as a character, but they seemed to have fixed them a lot better than I expected.
In my opinion the problems Neeko used to have are: she is one of the only 'close range' burst mage without an easy way to approach the enemy (Lissandra has E, Vex has R, the only exception I remember is Annie), none of her abilities have a short enough cooldown to be used multiple times within combat (While other Burst mages either deal more damage with their combo or have short cooldown abilities such as Syndra) and her Ultimate was difficult to hit due to standing still as the stun came down.
The issues with her ultimate have been mostly fixed, and some players are able to engage better than before with her, but even though she is more fun at the moment, I still think she is not as perfect as she could be, and still relies heavily on high damage numbers instead of mechanics.

As a neeko jungle player before the rework it’s so fucking good to see her playable in the jgl finally
Neeko was already playable in the jgl before he rework, its just not a pick player like in general so shes not used, the same as morg jgl, they are both similar, if you couldnt play her before its very likely you are a low elo player like plat or something and your macro isnt good, so this minion gank thing wich is very easy to set up might compensate the lack of macro.
But overall i think the minion and ward disguise are very bad, it force peoples to do it and the neeko sacrifice too much if it doent work. peoples would do much better with a normal path-ganking-gameplay. In my elo shes 48% wr, and i see in every elo below shes like 45%. The problem with this minion gank is that it doesnt work like all the time, you just have to check the wave coming by letting your cam on your map, and when the minion cheese is not working for 1m your neeko loose 1.5/2lvl 500 gold average and game is over bcs shes too behind. The winrate clearly shows it, this rework force neeko player to make too much macro mistakes.
So yeah you will always find some idiot that wont be able to ward forward their lane and check wave so youll get fed, but overall i think the champion is much worst than before and less playable if you use the minion and ward mechanics.

Next time they update pink wards (like they did when moving them from having a health bar to 5 health, then down to 4 health), it's definitely going to cause a bug with Neeko. They probably thought it through when designing her, but it's going to catch them off guard anyway
tips I had thought of before neeko was popular
1. you can also transform into the JG or into a champion that has a very dangerous cc, use the w and then transform into neeko.
2. after a while everyone is already aware of where neeko can be so at this point you have to throw clones until they are confident and one of them can be you.

2 more seasons we get a champ that instant kills if you hit the wrong clone and in 4 years we get another neeko rework that allows her to turn into the enemy team so they woudlnt even know you are the enemy jungler until they get cced

Unfortunately Neeko jungle is sitting at a 41% winrate globally in plat+ ranked. Hope to see what they edit on her in future patches, I've been enjoying her in support in high elo.

Give neeko a very minor but noticable attack speed buff while transformed. That should help with minion identification, provided attack speed isn't capped on transforming.

Nerfs: Actual cooldowns for transforming. A limit to transformations* (you can only mimic the same thing once every minute or something or you just mimic something else before an object can be mimicked again (like how aphelios must cycle through weapons before he can access specific weapon again).

Baby raptor doesn’t even show on the map as a dot. You essentially turn invisible on mini map.

The difference between low wlo and challenger is that you need flash more often for a successful gank. On low elo you can literally just run up whenever.

How are they maintaining the same movement speed as the minions? When I do it I lag behind them being slower then them.
Bring smite since smite dmg work on neeko if u sus a minion just smite it she will lose quite a lot of health tho
