I love how beatboxing is slowly growing, ever since I saw It, I was hoping for other people to notice because this stuff is really difficult and they are just incredible.
As a classically trained vocalist, and acapella performer (barbershop harmony), I really FELT this reaction!! LOL! Watching you, I felt like I was watching ME the first time I went down the modern beatbox community rabbit hole. I haven't read the other comments, but I'm sure people have already pointed out the world-class awards these performers have already achieved (Hiss is MASSIVE in Korea, and the other three are French beatbox icons). Welcome to your new obssession; the beatbox community is huge and wonderful!
Seeing people from the vocal scene watch beatbox makes me so happy. They really appreciate it more than any reaction channel could and this being my passion, it just fills me with joy to share the excitement :D
This was such an interesting song but I liked it! I have never heard of them either but they are all so talented, I hope that they will do more like this. Thanks for the great reaction as always friend!💜
This was a special collaboration as Hiss, who did the arrangement and audio, was flown out from South Korea to France to judge a beatbox tournament, and decided to stay a while to record this. I’m sure there will be other projects like this, but maybe not with this exact lineup of beatboxers, although they do travel a lot for competitions so they could do one again if there’s an opportunity. River and Colaps regularly perform together under the name Rogue Wave.
This is amazing! It is definitely not something I would have searched out on my own (beatboxing is awesome but I also need words to sing along) but I'm so glad that I watched your reaction! Now I have to go figure out how to add this to my music library immediately.
My brother, your reaction on this video was priceless. You have got to start reacting to more beatboxing videos. Beatboxers can not only make all kinds of sounds with their mouth, throat, and chest, but, most are also very good musicians and singers. This is just a taste, the whole world of Beatboxing awaits you.
The biggest difficulty you're likely to have as you get inundated with requests to jump further down the rabbit hole is this. Many of these gentlemen are more percussive than melodic, though that is changing. They are, as you so rightly say, exceptional in their skills, but many videos are of individual beatboxers by themselves. As a result, many beatbox videos are not capable of this level of sonic structure because one person can only do so much on their own even at the highest levels. It can be hard to learn to appreciate sometimes. However, if that proves to be no problem, it is one of the coolest musical scenes I've ever fallen into, and I'm so glad you've fallen into it too.

I note that Hiss is South Korean. Back in October of last year, I watched a reaction from _The Fairy Voice Mother_ to the Japanese Beat-boxer/singer "Show-Go," and after that, got a bunch of UA-cam recommendations for other vocal percussionists out of Asia. I don't know much about their beatboxing culture, but from what I've seen and heard, it's very different from American and European styles. And also, very cool.
You're pretty much right. I'd add that not only by a continent, but styles differs by countries. Nowadays Koreans are more musical and vocal (WING is one of the best examples, he made several classic pieces) and Hiss actually produced the melodic parts. French are famous for their really fast beatbox and incomprehensible combinations of sounds. Here's Colaps (he clicks on the video) that has won the biggest beatbox competition with fast beatbox. Russians are famous for really loud and clean sounds. There's some tendencies in some countries, but the art is too versatile to stay in one style. Of course, globalization and experience exchange kind of erase borders of genres and we have Alexinho and Hiss with similar style, and there can be Skiller from Belgium that can easily outspeed France beatboxers, or Codfish from Australia that is a legend for his musical and songwriting abilities
"do they all have some level of vocal percussion?" they are literally some of the most talanted and most accomplished beatboxers in the world! i love this so much!!!!!
I'm just a beatbox nerd and wouldn't have likely encountered your channel another way, so I am so glad you fired this up because watching you enjoy it totally made my day. Welcome to the beatbox community :)
Welcome to the rabbit hole of the beatbox world. SO MUCH content for you to see. Swissbeatbox is the biggest channel with all the main performances and videos. So that’d be a good place to start.
9:42 Here is another video recommended on your screen which is also a collaboration of Hiss and Alexinho that you'll fall in love with. It is definitely worth a reaction and hundreds of listens.
One of the best beatbox reactions I've seen. It's always nice to see someone who's new to beatbox, but like in your case, exceptionally nice to see them vibing hard to it and understanding how much effort it takes to create and execute such a video. I'd love to see more from you!!
Now that he's seen this masterpiece, to be honest currently in the beatbox scene this is considered to be one of the best if not the best musically produced piece by beatboxers. But there are beatboxers Like Den who focus more on musicality than crazy techniques so I'd say he needs to watch some of Den's work, especially his rounds in the BBU22
6:52 If you didn't realize this, it will blow your mind that all the percussion in this part is entirely done by the rightmost guy Colaps. The additional snares at 7:06? Yes, only him The 2 guys on the left were singing and the 3rd guy was doing the bass, then all 3 join in with the trumpets/bass section. So the clicks, the high pitched "clink" type sound, snares all done by one guy
They are all very well respected individuals in the beatbox community. To be more percise, this WAS all voices. They all flew to meet up with each other and only spent 4 days planning and recording all this, and Hiss, the korean dude with the bowl cut, mixed and mastered it. Obviously they all recorded the voices and beatbox sounds in the studio but there was no added effects or patterns that wasn't performed by the mouth except for maybe a little reverb and bass boost. This type of musical content has been thriving and brewing up in the beatbox community for a couple years now and I'm glad you're reacting to it. This group comprises of 3 french dudes, two of which are involved in a beatboxing tag team. The guy in the far right and far left are both french by nationality but columbian by blood, if I remember correctly. And Hiss is south korean.
Those four are elite level beatboxers. River is very musical, alexinho is an O.G technical speed demon, Hiss is like a new school musical beatboxer/producer and Colaps is a technical wizard and I believe he's the current solo category beatbox champion which he won at 2021s GBB. 2022 was cancelled for obvious reasons. Hope this helps abit and each one for these amazing artist has loads of videos you can watch, I think you'd be surprised and impressed at the talents not only of beatboxers being able to make music with their mouths but the level of singing and vocal range within the community. If your more into singing check out someone like Vahtang from Russia that man can sing.
Welcome to beatboxing, lol. This is a really exceptional performance by four of the very best beatboxers on the planet and there is a little editing happening but not much, these guys are this good.
I loved this reaction man instant sub no questions. Welcome to the beautiful world of beatbox! It’s a whole world full of very versatile people that are insanely impressive. Theres battles, loop stations, and like every instrument done with their mouth nose and vocal cords. I can’t wait to watch you see some more of what these guys and gals can do PS: love the outfit!

Hey mate, to add more informations on the table, River, Alexinho & Colaps are three french beatboxers. River is vice champion of the GBB 2021, and was litterally favorite with a fantastic wildcard. Alexinho is "just" a french champ x] he won multiple editions. Colaps is the World champ, he won the GBB 2021 (yeah, he was battelling against River, it was a french strong finale). And Hiss, is an Asia champ and also the winner of the BBU 2022, he's from South Korea and does sooo many remix of other beatboxers's tracks, he works like a mad lad and he's of course, an incredible beatboxer, I recommand you Dream Again. Cheers! Esh!

Instead I'd recommend you to check out 'vocal play' so you can see what happens when some of the best Korean beatboxers (Wing, Hiss, Huckle, Mighty, H-has) collaborate with the best Korean Acapella groups.
If you enjoy this you might also want to take a look at the BBU 2022 videos: Two german beatboxers hosted a beatbox competition and a lot of very musical routines were created. this video is amazing, and then again, a show-go song will have all the same layers. show-go - kuon is my favorite, and a prime example of how a solo beatboxer can make amazing high-quality music alone.
Your reaction is the same I had when I discovered Beatboxing. I am a huge Maytree fan and I was looking at all their videos when I found a acapella maytree did on a Korean show called vocal play. They were doing a acapela with the barberetts and Wing. When Wing started beatboxing I wasn't sure where the noise was coming from so I looked him up and let me tell you , My impression of beatboxers changed that day. So i suggest you look at Wing and other beatboxers.

What you listened to was all made without effects but if you want to dive deeper into this world, i would recommend checking out the loopstation side of beatboxing, as it is way more musically and therefore easier to listen to, when you aren't used to hearing beatboxing. Thanks for your reactions and i would be thrilled to follow you on your journey to beatboxing!!!!
Beatboxing has an amazing community and i feel that is because of the image that the Artists show for beatboxing.
Your reaction is one of the best reactions I've seen for beatbox!
Who Cares by Hiss + Alexinho would be another great reaction, there are less vocals but I think some of their techniques will astound you
One of the best beatbox reactions I've seen. It's always nice to see someone who's new to beatbox, but like in your case, exceptionally nice to see them vibing hard to it and understanding how much effort it takes to create and execute such a video.
I'd love to see more from you!!
I'm glad to see my mind wasn't the only one that melted down. These guys are phenomenal. Keep up the great work
Amazingly done! Magnificent! Melodius! Beautiful!
Now that he's seen this masterpiece, to be honest currently in the beatbox scene this is considered to be one of the best if not the best musically produced piece by beatboxers. But there are beatboxers Like Den who focus more on musicality than crazy techniques so I'd say he needs to watch some of Den's work, especially his rounds in the BBU22
omg the best beatbox reaction!!!!!!...deserve a subscriber
6:52 If you didn't realize this, it will blow your mind that all the percussion in this part is entirely done by the rightmost guy Colaps. The additional snares at 7:06? Yes, only him
The 2 guys on the left were singing and the 3rd guy was doing the bass, then all 3 join in with the trumpets/bass section.
Hiss - Asian Beatbox Champion
Alexinho - World Beatbox Champion
Colaps - Grand Beatbox Battle Champion
River - Grand Beatbox Battle Vice Champion
Welcome to beatboxing, lol. This is a really exceptional performance by four of the very best beatboxers on the planet and there is a little editing happening but not much, these guys are this good.
I really enjoy revisiting this video
This guys are World Class Beatboxer, Easy for them to build a vocal/beat like Acapella groups.
Best beatbox reaction !!!! Welcome to beatbox world !
All 4 of those gentlemen are champion beatboxers. When it came out, I listened to it on repeat for days.
Welcome to some of the most elite in beatbox community lol
I loved this reaction man instant sub no questions. Welcome to the beautiful world of beatbox! It’s a whole world full of very versatile people that are insanely impressive. Theres battles, loop stations, and like every instrument done with their mouth nose and vocal cords. I can’t wait to watch you see some more of what these guys and gals can do
PS: love the outfit!
Your reaction is almost (but only almost) as amazing as the song itself :D You, good sir, have earned yourself a sub.
check out HISS - Grateful (HISS VS DEN at BBU), River' - my way (GBB 2021 Wildcard), River' - BY OURSELVES
"Metamorphosis" by Gene Shinozaki ( Gene | Metamorphosis | Grand Beatbox Battle Wildcard 2021 )

those are crazy vocal/beatbox perofomances:
I never heard of these guys! This was so cool!
This is amazing bro!!!
Mortius, welcome to the beatbox community!
Cheers! Esh!
Earned yourself a sub. So genuine 😌

great reaction, this made my day
loved the reaction! keep it up🔥
Getting up and walking away is one of the most understandable reactions I think anyone who has never heard beatbox collabs could possibly have to this. Lmao It's like having your operating reset to factory defaults for a straight minute.
im just saying, once you start reacting to beatbox videos, youll never stop, youre gonna fall deeper in the rabbithole and start enjoying yourslef more mans. Keep up the beatbox reactions, youll get big in our community if u continue
I too love watching people eargasm! ❤❤
I enjoyed this so much! One of my favorite beatbox reactions ever😆
Welcome to the Family of Beatbox glad you here you have a lot to discover have fun^^
Holy crap i just found you in a carl sagan video i'm new here but i think it's awesome that you're in the smm2 community and now getting into beatbox reactions which are my two favorite things(well generally anything beatbox)! Small world ig lol
Welcome in! It’s so fun when worlds collide like that
And to think this all happened in 4 days, from start to video!!! Amazing!!!!
This is Beatboxing at it´s best my friend :DD
Your reaction is superb 👌 and your background fits with the background in the video 😊
This was something new and interesting to listen to. Thanks for the introduction.
Beatbox community > Acapella community
@@Magma-33 No need to be like that, few beatboxers can just do pure singing as well as most acapella singers do, both communities could be enriched by collaborating more.
@@Magma-33 I am a huge of beatbox as well but there's no need to try to put other communities down.
Instead I'd recommend you to check out 'vocal play' so you can see what happens when some of the best Korean beatboxers (Wing, Hiss, Huckle, Mighty, H-has) collaborate with the best Korean Acapella groups.
@@enmanuel1950 you think i haven’t seen that?
@@Magma-33 Hey if you've seen it great. My point was to highlight that's best to collaborate than to compare.
OMG I loved your reaction, really remind me the first time i've listened to beatbox for the first time
If you enjoy this you might also want to take a look at the BBU 2022 videos: Two german beatboxers hosted a beatbox competition and a lot of very musical routines were created. Also there are some tracks by Huckle called Farewell which I really like. I´m happy you discovered the world of beatboxing and I really hope we´ll see more of that soon. Thank you for your videos :)
"hey we have a couple of days free, wanna make a 4 piece A Capella track for the first time ever?"
"sure why not"
it's just nuts that they just made this on a whim.
Welcome to the fam!
Love your reaction, you have beatbox world champs + finalists
this video is amazing, and then again, a show-go song will have all the same layers. show-go - kuon is my favorite, and a prime example of how a solo beatboxer can make amazing high-quality music alone.
So i suggest you look at Wing and other beatboxers.
what a perfect video to start with
Welcome to Beatbox ;) These are one of the best Beatboxers of the World ^^
Lads we got another one
Now that’s a proper reaction tho
If you want to get more mindblowns Check on Dlow, Remix, River, Codfish, Trung Bao, Napom and many many more.
Love from a Hungarian Beatboxer 🇭🇺
Hiss also did Who Cares with Alexinho from this video as well. It's also amazing. Hiss arranged both pieces.
Some of the best beatboxers in the world. Current world champ, previous multi world champ, vices. They are all amazing beatboxers.
I could not possibly reccomend the perfect video to start you're dive into beatboxing but if you want to listen to more produced tracks like this I absolutely wholeheartedly reccomend the Huckle #Farewell videos, a series of many incredible produced beatboxing tracks.
These guys are all top 10 beatboxers in the world.
Welcome to the beatboxing world my dear friend.
Hiss is a producer and a world quality beatboxer. Alexinho and Colaps are GBB champions (Grand Beatbox Battle, most regarded beatbox world event). And River came vice-champ of the last GBB
Love this reaction!!!
Welcome to the Beatbox community!!! All four of them are very very high level world class beatboxers.
He covers a lot of acapella stuff, so I think he would enjoy seeing more vocal technique, loop stuff is mostly about effects these days.
Great reaction 🙌
welcome to the beatbox community! ESH 💛
Welcome to beatbox family brother!!
Crazy way to find out about beatboxing. Lol
Beatboxing has an amazing community and i feel that is because of the image that the Artists show for beatboxing. Let me explain these guys can work so well together but they would also not take a second breath to battle each other and its amazing plus they mostly always finish battles with hugs and nothing but respect for each other. ESH👊🔥👊
Who're they ?
From left to right (only main categorie) :
River : French Champ 2018, GBB Vice Champ 2021
Alexinho : French Vice Champ 2014, French Champ 2015, GBB Tag team Vice Champ 2016, World tag team Vice Champ 2017, World Champ 2018, GBB Vice Champ 2019, French Champ 2020
Hiss : Korea Vice Champ 2015, Asia Tag Team Champ 2017, GBB Vice Champ 2017, Asia Champ 2019
Colaps : French Champ 2017, World Vice Champ 2018, GBB Champ 2021, GBB Vice Champ Tag Team 2021
They've kinda a huge palmares, and those are just main categories, they are way more categories where they rank 1st or 2nd (or even a bit lower, 3rd or 4th).
Welcome to beatbox my friend!!
First time here, just wanted to say welcome to the world of beatboxing! All four of these guys are Beatboxing World Champs in one form or another.
