I remember when I first heard of beatboxing it was always the "simple" beats, lip rolls, bass etc. and just not as refined but it's now at a stage where if I heard this on Spotify and didn't see the artists I'd have guessed that this was electronically produced rather than all coming from vocals of only 4 individuals. 3 or 4 years ago I thought that beatboxing had basically reached it's peak but it just keeps evolving further and further every year and I've been loving it. Beatbox never ceases to amaze and evolve each time with the passage of time, people are getting more and more involved in music theory, besides creativity.. I can't believe how much we have grown as community and artist.. from being just battling each other to collaborating to bring this type of masterpieces, literally had some tears in my eyes when I heard this track for the first time. Loved the reaction man, keep it up!❤️
I've listened to this on repeat, watched a ton of reactions, but today for some reason sharing it with you (even though this reaction is a year old) made me appreciate it even more. Hiss is an amazing producer and to bring together world champions and vice-champions into this one project with River' starting out as a singer and Colaps being the God-King of vocal percussion you were right about them being masters.
I am a singer myself, so I know that the hand movements occur automatically, because when one sings or beatboxes, one uses the whole body, not just the voice, plus it makes it easier because the hand movements also help with the tension!
the most impressive part to me was the precise and complex timing on the beautiful arpeggios by Hiss and Alexinho ( and with River aswell in one section.) The Rythm was so interesting and sonically pleasing.
So glad you got to this one! I really hope we see more collaborations like this in the future, I’m glad it’s so well received so far. (And I always watch to the end of your videos.)

Hiss and alexhino harmonized for that trumpet part to give it the fullness. I love how beatboxers can’t beatbox without their hands
