I've been married 14 yrs even though we were Catholic we kind of was naughty and eloped but then 2009 we had our Convalidation of our marriage at church but we just had the ceremony for us. It's interesting, I've been to weddings like this where the couple has Christ at the center of their relationship, have saved themselves for marriage, etc. They looked just like this. The JOY from the depths of their souls, the tears, the beauty... so amazing and inspiring and breathtaking. I have also been to weddings where the couple lived together first, already owned their own house and dog, maybe even had a kid, then figured now was 'the right time' to get married. The difference is almost spooky. These women do not smile on their wedding day. Not like this. Not that REAL, bursting at the seams smile. They are not truly happy on their wedding day. The same is true of the men, and the loved ones gathered. It's like we're all pretending this is a huge, beautiful deal, but something is off. Just something I've observed time after time, and I wonder does no one else observe this difference? Because if you want your wedding day to look like this... Keep it Christ-centered. Live it the way He is calling you to. That's it. That's how you do it. I don't know about you, but I want my wedding day to look like this.

The love you have for each other is so radiant, I could almost feel it through my laptop screen! Thank you so much for sharing your special day with us and for restoring my hope for my personal wedding one day. You inspired and continue to inspire me to not settle for less than I want and deserve as a woman of God and to set goals for my life, but also to include Jesus in it, every day again. Compared to European masses, this one was quite modern and different from what I got to know here in Germany/Europe when I was visiting Catholic services (I am Protestant).
