Respect to all low fodmap vegans, I don't know how you do it. Great tips here, thank you. The humble potato is a lifesaver!

A potatoes baked with kosher salt make the best baked potatoes.
I find having cooking ahead days are the only way I can stay on track being vegan. There are some great preparation recipes on The Minimalistic Baker.
Of course after you know what you can eat is better for your tummy and I found it brings me joy.

I liked this video! I found it very applicable to how my day goes at times and it is refreshing to find videos pertaining to those of us that due to ibs, struggle with finding enough meal choices and/or have difficulty consuming enough calories to not be skin n bones...lol!

Glad to hear it was applicable! It's frustrating because I'm someone who really enjoys their food and never thought this would be an issue for me 😅 Hope you're getting on with the diet okay xx

Thank you. Your channel is brilliant! Glad it's ok to snack whilst cooking. I've found it hard to eat smaller portions as I've always had a huge appetite....hence huge meals. Not good. I realise that now..learning slowly.

Thank you so so much for doing this work. I've struggled with digestive issues for as long as I can remember and thought going vegan would be the answer. While some symptoms have improved, I know my quality of life could be better. (My vegan husband and daughter don't experience the GI issues I do.) I've noticed that beans are ok, but only if I don't eat too many or for days in a row. Apples (which I used to eat all the time) seem to be a factor as well. I finally came across FODMAPs and something clicked. I'm hopeful this will help!

It will honestly helps so much, because you'll be able to learn exactly what your triggers are. Like I always used to have veggies on my pizzas when eating out, get painful stomach cramps and assume it was the wheat/wine etc but it was actually the artichokes because they're high fructose 🤦‍♀️ Literally never would have worked that out otherwise! Especially anyone who's sensitive to polyols because no one would guess avocadoes were to blame! I hope it gives you as much clarity over your tummy too ☺️ xx

Carrie could you maybe do a low fodmap smoothie video? I'm about to start the elimination phase but I really love green smoothies for getting my greens in, problem is I usually use bananas and mango to sweeten them up and would love to know if you have any ideas? Thanks!
I love your channel (and website) by the way, a total godsend for low fodmap vegans!

I’m a vegan Low FODMAP cook, if you use blueberries, and add some lemon into it, the lemon should make it sweet enough with the greens. Lemon is amazing for that. (But you could probably add a little maple if you need it)

Has anyone found any benefit toEating smaller meals more regularly? I have found that if I eat too much in a single sitting that really blows up my belly! Interested in this technique if it works!

Oh my gosh yes! Logistically it makes it harder, but so much easier on the stomach 🙌 I feel like it was one of the habits kind of forced on you by the lowFODMAP portion sizes x

That's so weird, I literally just filmed a video two days ago about how to eat more food because I struggled to eat 2100 calories on a vegan diet at first! Peanut butter is definitely a great help, I LOVE that stuff :') I also like snacking on sunflower seeds too.
Btw your boyfriend is right, 9 / 10pm is the best time to eat! ;)

No way! When is it up? You know I actually gained about half a stone when I first went vegan because I basically went on a "try-all-the-vegan-food" rampage 😅
Haha, he likes that you agree and says hi x

No idea, maybe this Saturday or next Saturday! I film a load of videos in one go and then just edit and upload whenever I get time. Haha! 😂Well you've got to increase that demand for all the vegan products! :p There's a shop nearby me that is fully vegan and I always go in there for one thing and end up spending £30.
      Hi boyfriend!

Thks for your videos..so very helpful..Are green peas low FOD map? I see that split peas are high..but I love green peas..thx Anne

It's all down to portions, so you can have a small serve of yellow split peas. For green peas the low fodmap portion is only 15g unfortunately 🙈 I'd really advise you get the Monash FODMAP app because it has all the safe servings for tested foods xx
