Wish you all the best :-) They are easy to grow but please note that, I am from Tropical climate and so they root fast. In cold climate, they may take bit longer to grow well, thank you :-)

@Monti Dutta, No prob Sis...they would grow well in Soil too...the thing is, they need more space horizontally so that they care spread fast 😀😀 You are always welcome and thank you So much for watching, TC SIS (Cases are increasing)!!!!!
@@GardeningUpbeat yes 😃😃 . Oh yes the cases specially in Ghy . I am praying for my relatives and your family too 🤞🤞

@Champion Boss, Ha ha...thank you So much for your words and I am glad to know I posted at the right time. The thing is, I have installed Jumla CCTV everywhere and so I know 😃😃😃 (Just kidding..ha) Actually, feeling bad by looking at the situation of our Country, for the people of our Country who are suffering and Jumla is going on...I am not going to talk too much as my Channel is about Gardening. But I felt, I can share with you what I am feeling at the time of writing this comment. Anyway, I am glad that you have the same container and please use that! You would be surprised by looking at how fast and easily they grow in just water. Good luck and Stay Safe :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat Yes I understand you. But our country will bounce back soon for sure. These times are hard no doubt but they will pass for sure. Let's stay positive and keep praying🙏

@Lalsy K.K., Glad you liked it and thank you very much for watching :-)
I have planted them in the same as you have shown in the video but the thing is I have planted the mints in soil instead of water so is that okay
Sir thnx for helping video. please share amazon link for the water soluble fertilizer. Not getting rhbp growth plus. There are few others for growth plus though but need for mint.
How often should I change the water? Love the video.
Thank you So much for your feedback, much appreciated. Initially, please change the water once in 3-5 days. Later, when they grow well, you won't need to change actually. In fact, they drink so much water that you would need to pour water daily. Good luck!
Hi do you add nutrients in the water ? NPK ? Or you just let them grow in their natural form. Also how long can these plants grow in water
Apparently you didn't watch the entire video before asking this question. 3:22
Wow I'm jealous. I tried planting mint in soil and leaving some stems in water and the mint I left in water just died and didn't grow new roots. But the mint I have in the soil is doing well. Slow growing but it's forming roots. Any tips?
Thanks for this video. Can you recommend some organic or natural fertilizer?
@Dawn P, You are most welcome and sorry for the late response! The one which I use is Organic itself...Seaweed Fertilizer is natural, thank you :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat no problem, thank you
Amazing
@Gagan Sharma, Thank you very much Sir Ji...but aapne bataya nehi.....

Gd evng ji, anyway its in the water, y we should water it daily...
Do I need to prune the roots? Your roots look like they are becoming a ball. Will leaving them like in your video be okay?
Will try this! Thank you!
My mint have always been turning black 😔
@Aarohee Telore, You are most welcome and thank you very much for watching. If you are trying to grow in water and turning black, then please try using a non-transparent container and change the water frequently (3-5 days). Good luck!
@@GardeningUpbeat 🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you 😊
S i will try
@soorya kanthi, All the best :-)
My rose plants are severely attacked by thrips .i have been using imidacloprid 17.8% 1 ml to 2 ml per litre since last 2 weeks every alternate day but no perfect result came ..so should i change the chemical to acetamiprid 20 sp as it also has ovicidal action or please suggest any other insecticide that would work well in that situation .
@Chaitanya Srivastava, There are 3 good alternatives - 1. ROKET 2. Rogor (for both, please use 1ml in 1 liter water. Aphids would gone in just 1-2 days) 3rd option is organic and Theeta. I haven't used it yet but heard good news. Thank you :-) Even, I can see Aphids on some of my plants too and I am going to use insecticide very soon :-)
Plzz..Can you make a video on Donkey's tail plant care and propagation..🙏🙏
@Mitali Bora, Surely, I would try to do that...thank you 🙏🙏
Please tell some home ingredients to use in place of fertilizer, thank You
I haven't tried it but I heard that you can use powered kelp.
Where should I place my container once I cut my mint?
how to prevent root rot?
Some people say to cut above the node, others say to cut below. What difference will it make?
Actually a node is a part of a plant from where either roots would grow or a new growth. For cuttings, we need at least one node and we can cut below a node. We can cut above a node too..but in that case, we would need to cut back few parts of stem. It's because, generally while growing from cuttings, we don't insert more than 2 inches inside the soil. It's good if at least 2 nodes are inside the growing medium.
While pruning, normally we cut above a node (Node 1 for example) and from this node, we would get a new growth. The stem from Node 1 to Node 2 (just above the Node 1) won't be of any use and it won't produce any new growths. Not much difference to be saying..just some rules..he he..Hope that helps, thank you!
How long they live in water plz
After so many days...so is there any alternative for that liquid fertilizer?
@Hema Palanivel, I am glad you didn't forget about my Channel and many many thanks! Took few days off as I had to prepare the Summer garden :-) Completely replaced my Winter Terrace Garden with Summer Plants :-) Other alternatives - Well, to be honestly saying, I feel more happiness whenever I grow any plants in Soil. It's bit difficult to grow all plants in water unless we don't have proper Hydroponic equipment. Plus, it's touch to grow everything hydroponically if temperature is too high. So, I must say, I have very limited experience of growing plants in Water than Soil. At this time, I can recommend 2 other alternatives as I have tested myself and got good result - 1. NPK - 19:19:19 (Dose - 1/2 teaspoon in 1 liter water) 2. Panchagavya - 15-20ml in 1 liter water. Anyway, very soon I would start uploading videos about growing many other plants in just Water and I would share more info with updates :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat sure👍👍
Can we grow without sun light bcz we live in flats there is no open place...i grew 3 times but stems did not show any single leaf and gets black
Sure..it's possible. But without direct sunlight, growth would be slower, size of the leaves would be smaller and they would grow leggy. To avoid the black issue, please add a very thin layer of the water at the bottom. If we pour too much water, the stems rot very easily and hence the black color arrives! Hope that helps, thank you!
@@GardeningUpbeat Thank you soo much...
Should we spray water on the leaves everyday ?
Spraying not needed on daily basis....but once they start to grow well (you can keep checking the roots), you would need to fill the pot almost daily. They drink lots of water..ha ha..
Can I plant mint in a shallow 8” garden container?
Sure...8” is more than enough, good luck!
I also grow mint cutting in water, however, before the root developed well, the stem of the mint turnes black and dry up. Anyone know how to fix that please ?
Happens when there is lack of light. Also, please change the water more frequently and avoid using Mints with very thin stem. Wish you all the best!
Sir did u change the water or kept the same water?
Keep adding every second day to add nutrition natural
Can u tell us how to get rid of soil mealybugs,
@Oishi, I already have a video about getting rid of Mealybugs and there I have shown 5 simple ways. Please watch this video - ua-cam.com/video/aeuTt2LWdls/v-deo.html Whether the Mealybugs are in soil or in plants, all methods would work well. Good luck :-)
But i have soil mealybugs
Can we use Seaweed fertilizer?
@Arif Khan, Yes, we can :-)
what happens if you submerge a cutting entirely in water?
It will rot
How often we put fertilizer in the pot?
@Tam Thai, Sorry for late response...once in 15-20 days is enough :-)
Your always po
Thank you :-)
This is what I'm doing
@Charlene, That's great to know and all the best :-)
Last me dikaya ke daily paani dena hai to yah sprey karna hai ya box me paani roj change karna hai clear nahi hua.
@Jyoti Nanda, Sorry to know you didn't get it. Dekhiye, pani aap hamesha upar se dall dijiye..Upar ka dhakkan me bahat sara holes already hai. To, Pani aram se niche wali box me chala jayega. Spray karne se kaphi nehi hoga, kuoki, Pudina bahat jyada pani demand karte hai. Aise, video me maine dikhaya ki pani ka level kitna rakhna chaiye..App baas uhi level banake rakhiye aur dekhiye, Pudina kitni asani se Pani me grow karte hai...Agar koi bhi sawal hai to bata dijiyega aur agar Hindi me galti hogaya to, kripaya bura mat maniyega :-) Bahat bahat Dhanyavaad..Savdhaan rahiye, TC!!
CANT WE USE ORGANIC LIQUID FERTILIZER?
It's Organic itself..not Chemical fertilizer. Thank you!
From this video I've learned that indians have a cool ace of base-all that she wants remix
ur daughter is so cute
Sorry for the late response...and thank you So much :-) TC :-)
Very healthy indeed. Adding fertiliser, you can't use the mint for food.
@Rose Chan, Definitely we can as I have applied the fertilizer only in water, not directly on leaves. But, even if we fertilize on the leaves by spraying (only organic), we can use the Mint in kitchen after 5-7 days :-)
i am the first
@Vanya mishra 3A, Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for the support, I truly appreciate it :-)
I find it a bit hard to believe you only use water in there. they usually don't grow THIS big and this fast at 15 days. you probably used some sort of fertilizer, or hydroponic stuff.
I m growing mine in Dubai and trust me they are great no salt nothing just a regular change of water. I hve a PhD in plants and environment but trust me they grow :)
you probably won't need that much mint even if you had a huge garden. they spread underground by rhizomes.
Thank you very good and helpful video and beautiful child. But please thise music is so annoying why why why why why so loud just let's enjoy your teaching of how to grow mint I don't want to have to lower my volume every time somebody plays loud music please please respect
