Mike Ness toured with Neil Young. Neil’s guitar tech showed him how a Gibson gold top les Paul came with mini hum buckers which coincidentally are the same size as a p-90 pick up. He took the mini humbuckers out and dropped them in the trash and installed a p90. The rest is history. Ness refers his sound as “americano”.

The clothing he is wearing i representing him as a "Gangster in 1934", not about being punk. Watch the music video to this song, he is wearing the exact same outfit. In this video, he is telling a story and is in character, represented by his clothing, while doing it.

And the best thing is that Mike Ness's set up is pretty basic. A Fender Bassman and a BOSS pedal. Sounds fantastic.

This is great. It's at least close because the sound quality is so good. Whoever did the mixing did a great job.
Social D is better at performing their songs than 95% of most bands.
