Just saw them last nigh! Fuck, my voice is gone! Dude is 62 and still rocking faces off.
oh youtube, when will you set me free from random A.D.D. driven musical journeys? I've got friggin' work in the morning..
i love this album.
Only just getting into Social Distortian, every they pop up in a playlist I think "Who's this these guys are fucking sick?" and it always is
@theclash4eva The thing that makes Mike Ness/Social Distortion a kind of enigma is that Ness' songwriting/music/stage show is getting better as he ages. Most great singer/songwriters, for example Dylan, Springsteen etc. created their best work at a very young age. It's the total opposite with Mike Ness. He pretty much started to hit his stride with Between Heaven and Hell and he was in his late twenties by then.

Social Distortion is an underrated gem. This music is rock punk blues country and classical all in one.
The Johnny Cash of our generation! Songs of hope and life! Mike thank you! For being real! And giving people hope.
Johnny Cash is Johnny Trash. Never compare country to punk again
Well I’m a gangster 1934
Junkies, Winos, Pimps & Whores
And all you men, women and kids
best get out the way
I just left your town, took all your loot,
bought a pink carnation and a pinstripe suit,
a hopped-up V8 Ford and some two-tone shoes
And I’m already gone, I left a pool of blood and sorrow
I've got the Machine Gun Blues
I’ll be out of here for the break of dawn,
I'll hit the highway, smoke a big cigar,
got to stop and bury the cash, and get some more
There’s only one thing on my mind,
that's making it across that ol' state line,
Without a hail of avenging bullets,
waiting there for me
And I’m already gone, I've left a path of pure destruction,
I've got the Machine Gun Blues
I'm already gone, my life will soon be through,
I've got the Machine Gun Blues
I'm public enemy #1
I'm sorry for the things that I've done
If indeed we do cross path, it's nothing personal
And I’m already gone, I've left a trail of devastation,
I've got the Machine Gun Blues
I'm already gone, my life will soon be through,
I've got the Machine Gun Blues

Played loud this song is even better. Fun fact.
this song is best when played loud while driving down the highway at 100 mph
preferably in a classic car, or on a loud motorcycle
TRUE STORY!
Fun fact: this song was playing full volume the first time I got my 2001 jeep Cherokee over 100 mph
1: turn volume down
2: plug into an amp
3: turn up amp to 11
4: sound quality fixed

Mike Ness is one of the greatest song writers of our time.
Cant listen to this song without thinking of Jax chasing those guys!, awesome song!
isnt this song on like season 4? lol
oh i see :) awesome show, awesome song!
ScatmanScotty91 except that the song has existed wayy longer than the show .. and idk soa at first was good but I find that it became too much of a biker "soap opera" after
Yes i understand that it was probably out way before the show, but the scene that this is on is just awesome and after season 4 or 5 it turned into a grittier show
ScatmanScotty91 best song for that scene
Greatest band that almost no one knows about! Ness is the music version of Clint Eastwood. He gets more badass every year.
Social D's kinda like pizza. Even when the quality's shit, it's still pretty goddamn good.
when has the quality ever been shit?
@@johnscialfa7391 it's the speakers
Ubisoft should've used this song as a soundtrack for Watchdogs.
Any of the Saint’s Row games
Great song from an all time great group.
You know SOA did this song perfectly because this is the perfect music for a motorcycle chase.
SOA? oh wait nm thats that shit show with the limited plot and contrived story for simple people

One thing that has always gotten me through life was social d. Now at the hardest point in my life I’m coming back to it when I should have never stopped listening. I used to sing this song to my soon ex wife. Social d will help me through another tough time in life. I need to get back up for my kids

That's what is exactly in the music video of this song. Check it out. It's really cool. Mike Ness's son is in the video too
Reminds me of “Take Me Down” by the Pretty Reckless.
HOLY SHIT THIS ROCKS!!

Im here cause of royal rumble 2011
Strange how all the greats have classics they wrote in the beginning of their careers and never got any better but just kind of stayed the same, but damn, Social Distortion just keeps cranking out the best of the best.
Seeing them on the 31st. Probably gonna shit myself a few times.
strpure95 I've shit myself many times lol.......so what ? lol
I don't want to sound cliche, but is anyone here because of Miz vs Randy Orton promo from Royal Rumble 2011?
Every car chase in Mafia I played this song and it fits perfectly.
Old but Gold
It's not old at all. Came out in 2010. But yes, it is gold

Somebody needs to make a music video of this song with clips from Boardwalk Empire.
Questa musica è incredibile, mi ricorda al mattino quando mi faccio la barba... Signore grazie mille
There's only thing on my mind, it's making my way across that old state line 😎
2:16 damn that guitar solo is fantastic!!! It's like if Heaven and Hell wrote a riff together!!
You have got to see the video for this. It’s the perfect fusion of old action movies and music!

Cant believe this was in 2011, seems like yesterday when my science teacher showed me Social D. Ill be rockin with these guys till my end.
What I do not get is Social D backing up the Foo Fighters. In a perfect world it would be the other way around. Social D still payin dues. NOT RIGHT! Give me a thumbs up if you agree. Thank you.
Everytime I listen to Social Distortion I feel jacked up after.
Anybody notice this video came out before the album?
Whenever I hear this song, I have a strong urge to play games that are set in the desert
Fallout new vegas would be best, kinda has the premise

@Simon ForkI need to say I'm that age and liking this video, and playing guitar to it.
Wwe 2011 Miz and Randy Promo Most Peak Royal Rumble thoooo
@theclash4eva mike ness is good but P Ness is better!
Well Social Distortion must think their awesome or they wouldn't tour with them.
Most of the music greats made kick ass tunes til their last days on this earth and their music lives on forever. Mike Ness is up there with the best of 'em... I could see him and the crew going strong for a long time to come.
Weirdly you can blend this at the solo with the theme tune to Buffy
@SKAterpunkkidd987 That's because he's the fuckin man, and everyone should know it. haha
This song is awesome thumbs up if *insert witty remark about dislike bar being gay here*
this song rocks if you dont like this i heard that justin beaber dropped a new record XD
SPW Trexxus Theme Song.... Suitable prefect For Him 😉👍!!!!
check out woody guthrie -jesse james -pretty boy floyd -them songs are gangster to me
@rjplamf61 both bands are amazing
I think Mike Ness and Social Distortion deserve to be mentioned in the same category as Lemmy and Motorhead! Rock legends in their own right!!!!
I halfway agree, no one will ever compare remotely close to Lemmy but it's like the 2 forks in the Rock 'N' Roll road, Motörhead took Rock 'N' Roll and plugged it into A metal band and the other side Social D took Rock 'N' Roll and plugged it into A Punk band
Una musica senpre attuale lio scoperti tardi ma li riascolto senpre
social distorcion is fucking awesome so as the foo fighter both are great bands
sirhcdylan the Foo Fighters can you even compare them to Social Distortion... if I have to explain I'm wasting my time
this bands backup singers are amazing not just on this song but all of them
I still remember young Mike in the Another State Of Mind documentary. His voice is so timeless.
When I was only 1 year old, my father always played this song in the car and I sang the song and danced and he was sooo proud of meee ;)
Lol. 1 bruh come on

What a tune ... love social D 😎🤟
@Mrkeez01 10 people probably didn't like the song. :P

Mike Ness is one of the greatest song writers ever. Social D songs have the most incredible, emotion inducing melodies I've ever heard. They are one of those bands that can't be duplicated
Why dont they put this song on a skate video??
