I have this multipad i just wish Alesis could make an firmware update for the looping to change the various kits without interruption. Also the knobs been smaller
I've been following some reviews and there are some people who say there's a problem with their start screen, I was totally interested in buying, but I confess that I've already become quite discouraged, I've seen some that even have to open and change the SD card, even others that have reached return it due to a problem with the motherboard, has yours ever had a defect or even something similar, crashes and such? God Bless bro! Thanks!
So to add bass drum and hi-hat action you would have to buy external MIDI trigger pedals? Seems like it doesn't accept regular switches like other entry level units.
Thanks for the details! I'm an idiot when I come to the wide variety of inputs and out puts. That being said, can I connect this device to an amplifier? And do I need a specific kind of amplifier? Thanks
Thanks for the video Nick! How do you export the kits and samples out of the unit. I use protools. It will work fine as a controller in an instrument track with a plugin but I would like to use the kits in my sessions as MIDI. Audio recording is easy. Just can’t export those awesome sounds. Any advice?
Sounds great and would work perfectly in the studio for that real drummer feel however it needs about 6 - 8 more Pads. Individual output for each instrument so that users can route them straight into an multi input Audio interface would be awesome.
I'm a real drummer. 2 toms, 1 snare, 1 kick, a ride, 2 crashes and a hihat does the job in most cases. so eight pads. Anymore than that to a gig is just luxury really. I can't see how I would then need an additional 8 on top of that, maybe 2-4. Anyway you could just have two of these if you really needed lots of pads at the same time.
Can you damp the longer ringing sounds, like Timpani or Tam-Tam? Or, does one just use a sustain pedal, mostly held down and then released for damping? (That might get a bit tiring on the foot???)
Just got this new at a pawn shop for 315! Im a drummer and a producer[Dj Renigade] on twitch and Bandcamp. Cant qait to deep dive this. Love the fact that it is usb audio/midi
Sensitivity is only with Nord l got ND2and ND3 Clavia another mulitpads is only a toys not instrument .l have also another pads just Alesis Roland ,Yamaha .Maybe Roland Ocatapad has better adjusting sensitivity but do not remember because is in the attic .Now l will try to connect Yamaha TCS pads to ND2 l will see results .l treats multipad only as melody trigger
This is a cool machine but it can only playback 16 bars of a saved loop. Nearly not along enough to playback for a live performance. I don't get the logic of only 16 bars without ability to repeat a saved loop for continuous playback. It seems that users should be able to create a loop, then trigger - start and stop the loop by hitting a pad. Cool machine but sucks for creating and playing back backing percussion samples for live performances. To do so, you need a midi controller, another piece of gear to deal with on set. Disappointed in this regard.
That snare sounds horribly fake. I don’t even know why they put sounds in these things without using round robin and multi samples. Just USB out into easy drummer or superior drummer.
Bought one just now, coming Thursday or Friday cannot wait for it to arrive!

I have this multipad and right now for the retail price without any doubt there's no better choice
Best Pad simply in use is Alesis Strike Multipad l got new one from ebay just 330 pounds
Thanks for taking your time to create this review. 👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
The best pad! I love !

Mine crashed too. I guess the read/write lifespan on the SD card is super small.

Easiest option is to send MIDI from Pro Tools into the Multipad and then record the stereo outputs back into Pro Tools.

Then this is not for you. Get a pad kit instead. 🙂

what about kick and hihat pedals? why are you not using them and is it even possible? if so, what are more options? thanks
Does it have Simmons Octo sounds built in?

"This drum looks really cool, but it has so many bugs. You can't change the pitch of the sample in real-time."

yoo that's a steal!
Yep it was. Having issues getting the USB audio out to work properly. I'm using mains out at moment. Made my first sound set already.
Can you add a kick drum pedal and a high hat pedal
Does this work for a drum loop machine as well or would you recommend a diff product for drum looping?
It’s amazing for looping. I haven’t dove deep enough into this feature myself but I know a lot of people use this for accompanying acoustic guitar
What speaker or earphones suggested to connect for best quality?
I like the ATH M50x headphones and for a speaker, the Roland PM-100 or PM-200 won't do you wrong
Hi this don't need pc?or mobile phone just direct to speaker?
No PC required
Are these compatible with roland td30?
Isn't nord drum 3p way better? I was blown away be theirs demo/reviews. Alesis pads looks like the same old ones with added lights and whistles.
It’s more of a percussion synthesizer but both are cool
I'm asking you how you have the sensitivity settings for the pads since I can't find the way
thanks!

inst the roland spd sx pro better?
Can you Connect a pedal?
This is great but I think time and competition caught up with it so I'm looking at the nux I know it's limited but not paying Roland money 😂
I have heard that in today

Dont buy this product no support at all from Alesis .Alesis Strike Multipad to many issues!😊😅
Which one is best bro
Can you take the sounds from a Roland Electronic Kit module (TD-9) and put them on this?
