    New to your channel but am really digging all the info you’re putting out for these cars. Especially interesting was finding out these RWD R Coupes can outrun an SVR from a rolling start. I’ve been contemplating doing these exact mods but keep finding reasons to put them off. Thanks for all the info and detailed instructions, I think you may have convinced me to go for it. Cant wait to see the performance video of it and, again, love the channel and all the hard work you’re putting into it!

    Awesome video with excellent information. Thank you for taking the time to explain it in painstaking detail. I recently bought a 2015 F-Type V8 S, and it still has a factory warranty that's good until Nov. 2022. That means I'll be waiting and saving up some money to do any modifications. Thanks to your videos though, it will go a lot smoother when it comes time.

    Just bought a brand new 2023 F-Type P450. Looking to get the Mina Gallery intakes installed to get that "whine" when accelerating along with this AP Velocity Tune. No way I gonna do this myself so I will take it to a pro to get done....ha ha ha. So my car no longer has the crackles, burbles, and pops, like the older F-Types have. I heard they make a software to where you are able to add it back into the car using the little monitor and hooking it up to the OBD Port. Do you know anything about that? It is from a UK company called Viezu. I was gonna change out my entire exhaust to a Quicksilver but if it can be done through the OBD port than I will literally save thousands. Great video by the way.

    @Skrrt Garage/Conner. Dude Awesome DIY. I am sure you are doing a follow up video to this, but what I would like to know is did the SuperCharger whine increase with the New SC Pully? I have no clue about SC's, but do you know why or how to make your SC whine like the Dodge Charger/Challenger? For example the Dodge cars seem to have the loudest whine, then Chevy Z06/Camero ZL1 and Cadilac CTS-V. (yes all the same motors, but the CTS-V is detuned). Thanks Tim

    • @skrrtgarage3922
      @skrrtgarage3922  3 роки тому +1

      Yea dodge uses a massive open cone style system near the top of the engine, so when it revs up it is very loud. It also doesn’t hurt that their supercharger is huge! Lol it’s like 2.0 liters or something. My car already has aftermarket intakes to make the whine loud and this tune brought it to another level. It sounds very hellcat

    HI, first of all, thank you very much for your several very interesting and nice videos about the F Type R !!
    Regarding the Stage II realised on your F Type R, I had a question, I heard that the gearbox was designed to support normally max of 700nm and it is more or less the standard power even for the F Type R and SVR. Are you confident about the liability of the gearbox with the Stage II that will bring around 150nm more?
    Had you the chance to have the advice of a specialist regarding this point?
    To be honest, I'm clearly looking for one of these and the figures of the Stage II are just extremely good, so I just want to be sure that there is apparently no risk or just a very limited one in case of Stage II.
    Thanks again for your great videos.

      Yea the ZF8 speed transmission is currently being used in the bmw m8, challenger hellcat and various other high powered cars with no slip or issues. The transmission itself is very sturdy and probably not being stressed at all by the added power. If it does worry you, I know some companies have designed transmission tunes to clamp “harder” to make sure no slip happens.

      What model F do you have, and do you have carbon ceramics?

    • @rlstrad2059
      @rlstrad2059 3 роки тому +2

      Assuming you don't have carbons, several possibilities. Check with your dealer for a brake noise service bulletin applicable to your model. You did mention just 3k kms since you got it, if car's total miles are higher, make sure pads aren't glazed, this can occur with lots of city driving if you tend to lightly ride brakes. Also, try a "bedding" the brakes regimen, accelerate to around 120 km and hit brakes at about 80% force. Do this around five times---do not do this if you have higher kms on your car and there's a chance your brakes or discs are worn. Give yourself plenty of runoff room when braking.

    • @skrrtgarage3922
      @skrrtgarage3922  3 роки тому +1

      Yea like Robert mentioned, there can be numerous reasons why brakes can squeal. Sometimes the back of the brakes need to be greased/ or a brake pad could not be seated all the way into the piston.

    • @lisamorris5396
      @lisamorris5396 3 роки тому +1

      Thanks, Ive rung the dealer ship and basically this is a common problem when the car isnt driven on a regular basis. They gave the same advice as you mentioned so will give that a go.

    • @skrrtgarage3922
      @skrrtgarage3922  3 роки тому

      Yea, I spoke with a local jag technician before I did this.
      The crank pulley spins from the force generated by the compression strokes of the engine. Which is a harmonious loop of ignition timing, air and fuel.
      Consequently, if you can manually crank the engine by spinning the crank pulley (when the engine is off) the wrong way it could produce slack on the timing chain and timing issues and wear.
      Does that make sense?
